Beautiful Home in AMAZING Berkshire Location

Come nestle in the woods at this beautiful retreat in a PRIME location - 5 minutes to both downtown Lee and Stockbridge, and an easy 15 minute drive to Lenox or Great Barrington. This is the perfect home base to enjoy all of the culture that the area has to offer - music at Tanglewood, dance at Jacobs Pillow, art at one of the many museums - or come and Ski at Butternut or Catamount; hike the MANY trails or enjoy the eating, shopping and strolling that all the country towns have to offer!

A beautiful rocking chair front porch welcomes you to the woodland cottage. Once inside you appreciate the the privacy of this 3,440 square foot space, replete with cathedral ceilings in the living room which opens on to a screened in porch which, in turn, overlooks the outdoor deck with built in fire pit and a hot tub. The open kitchen/diving room is perfect for entertaining, and the separated library allows for quiet relaxing. There is a first floor Master Suite with a Four Seasons Mattress and en suite bathroom (with a large jetted tub!). Upstairs are 3 large bedrooms on the second floor which share a double sink bathroom with a shower and tub.

There is hi-speed cable WiFi provided by Spectrum, and two smart TVs.

Across the road is a park that has additional hiking trails. And all this is in the heart of the Berkshires, less than 5 minutes from downtown Stockbridge and Lee and less than 10 to Lenox, and just over 10 minutes from Great Barrington.

Great visit to the Berkshires. A comfortable and clean home with a very well equipped kitchen. The hosts left us an excellent Cabernet and coffee. The hot tub was a wonderful benefit!

We stayed at the house for a little family reunion and truly this was one of the best places! Plenty of room for all of us, including 1 infant, 1 toddler and two elementary school aged kids plus all the adults. The kids room was a bonus and all the toys and decorations were so helpful to distract the kiddos! They had so much fun at the house that they didn’t want to explore the Berkshires! The rooms were large, thoughtfully designed. The house was super clean. Long table was great for big family meals. The front yard was hidden from the main road and safe for my toddlers to run around. I would go back and stay here again!

A perfect stay at Woodland Cottage!

We spent a wonderful long weekend at Woodland Cottage and it was so spacious, comfortable and had everything we needed, and then some! This house would be perfect for families, adults, friends, you name it. Here's some of the best parts of the home: - Spacious & updated - this is hard to find in a rental. The house is big and has a perfect mix of large spaces to gather in as well as smaller spaces for more privacy/quiet. The décor was perfect, with everything feeling updated, clean, and well stocked. - Perfect for kids - the bunk bed room says it all! This space is great for kids of all ages, with a massive kitchen table, and they have many other amenities stored away for vacationing with little ones. - Location - This home is close to several really great attractions for all seasons. We skiied at Butternut and took great hikes. - Amenities - Fully stocked kitchen, several smart TVs, toiletries, REALLY SOFT towels and sheets are just some of the reasons staying at home most of the time was a real treat! - Great hosts - they were beyond helpful, providing detailed information on the house as well as a really great guide to western MA! Within the first few hours of arriving, I was already talking about the next time we should rent the house. We will be back for sure, hopefully soon! Thanks again for the great stay and for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful home!

Wonderful Stay/Fabulous House/Great location

We really enjoyed our stay @ Woodland Cottage. The house was spacious, well appointed, & the kitchen was well stocked. The hot tub was great after a long bike ride. The scenic country roads were great for cycling, albeit hilly. We appreciated the information on hiking in the area, local events, farmers markets, as well as restaurant recommendations- Alta was our favorite. The proximity to Tanglewood & Jacob’s Pillow was a plus. We highly recommend Woodland Cottage. Harvey & Maureen

Amazing

Since the pandemic our travel life is basically road trips and this I have to say was one of our favorite house rentals. Plus the berkshires was an amazing area. I'm really loving exploring close to home. Our boy had a blast playing in the kid room, seriously we'd have to drag him out for bed lol. Speaking of the beds, omg so comfortable. I might call this one of our best family vacations yet. The decor alone made it my favorite as everyone joked you could tell I picked the house (exactly my taste & style) we had an early check in so we could start our vacation early which was just awesome. My hubs, my mom's bf and my son all took a nice hike thru the park right across the street. My son also loved all the chocolate shops in the area which yes we hit up every single one of them. Along with toy stores. This house is just perfect for a family we all had our own space. I loved our boy was upstairs right next to my mom's room, so she could get up with him as we slept in for the rest time in years lol. I also loved the gas fireplace so easy to just turn on as my boy sat watching how the grinch stole Christmas. Actually we watched a ton of Christmas movies, made Christmas cookies, just a wonderful time in this big house. I can't brag about this house enough. Only bad thing and it has nothing to do with the house or host but the fact it didn't snow lol. I think it was going to snow the day we left, of course!

Beautiful and spacious house

My four sisters and I spent 3 wonderful nights at this lovely, well appointed house. Using the small room with a daybed on the first floor, we all had our own rooms (plus there were 2.5 bathrooms). The house seems to be pretty new so everything was modern and worked well. The kitchen was large as was the connected dining area. The large couch and tv, and the gas fireplace in the living room were so comfortable. The proximity to Lee, Lenox, Stockbridge, and Great Barrington, and all that they offer, was excellent. Emily and Ken the caretaker, were very responsive and helpful. We did not have a single complaint and we all agreed that we would go back to this house in a heartbeat!

wedding weekend

We rented the house for my daughters wedding weekend and we were just blown away with the property. Everything was top notch and beautiful.. Plenty of room for the day of the wedding happenings. The make up artists set up on the porch and the hairdressers set up at the huge dining room table. Plenty of room for everyone.. The master bedroom was so beautiful we were able to use it for my daughters getting ready photos. It truly was the perfect location and house for what we needed. I just wish we had more time to relax in the hot tub or sit and relax in the rocking chairs on the front porch. Emily and Selom really has thought of everything that you could potentially need in the house. We were there for a long weekend and wish we could have stayed longer.. The accommodations really made it so special for my family to be able to all stay together for such a monumental milestone in our family . We hope to start a new tradition and visit every year with my family to celebrate my daughters Anniversary. Thank you so much Emily and Selom for opening up your house to us . Christine C

Family Reunion Gathering

Exceeds expectations in every way!

This is an amazing home, thoughtfully designed and more than adequately equipped for guests. Our family of 9 had a wonderful time here and we all look forward to returning. Emily was incredibly gracious and helpful and very prompt in responding to our questions. She provided very helpful notes about what to do, where to eat, available sitters, etc. but these notes could be updated somewhat to more accurately reflect the post-Covid environment at the present time.

Fantastic property

Quick, book this property! It is so well appointed, spacious, quiet, and convenient to all things Berkshire. Perfect for adults and children alike. The owners were super responsive and the caretaker checked in with us to make sure everything was satisfactory. We definitely plan to stay here on our next trip to the area.

The best stay in the Berkshires

This beautiful home exceeded my expectations and I’m not easily impressed. It was even better in person. Easy communication with the owners prior to and during our stay, incredibly peaceful setting, clean and very well-appointmented. My family of 7 (including 3 toddlers) had the most comfortable stay here. The bunk bed room was an absolute hit! We’ll be back!
