Snug Harbor Resort and Marina - One Bedroom Water View Cabin

Located on San Juan Island’s west side, on peaceful Mitchell Bay, Snug Harbor Resort offers year-round waterfront accommodations.

All of our cabins and suites contain upscale rustic interiors, vaulted ceilings, full kitchens, and uninterrupted stunning views of Mitchell Bay. Snug Harbor’s incredible setting is unparalleled on San Juan Island and is perfectly located for adventures throughout the islands.

We strive to make each guest’s visit amazing and memorable. Once you arrive and explore the resort, you will discover the unique features, comforts, and amenities provided to each of our guests. We offer paddle boards, kayaks, canoes and bikes for complimentary use by our guests. Travelling by boat? We have a private marina where boaters can dock for their stay.

Our own Mitchell Bay Coffee Shop is open daily offering an array of coffee beverages, local pastries, waffles, soups, and more. We also keep our gift shop well stocked with local goods for your cooking needs as well as clothing and gifts for your friends and family.

Snug Harbor Resort is an ideal place to unwind and relax. While we have free wi-fi throughout the property and great cell phone reception, although there are no phones inside the cabins. Take time to relax by the water, build a fire, and allow the peace and serenity on Mitchell Bay to overtake you.

These cabins, nestled on a little hill above the waterfront cabins, still have full, uninterrupted views of Mitchell Bay, and offer a little more privacy. From the private decks with picnic tables and BBQ’s, guests often spot deer grazing on the grass.

Inside the 450 square-foot cabins, there are 12 foot vaulted ceilings with an expansive glass front giving lots of natural light. Living rooms are comfortably furnished with a cozy sleeper sofa and lounge chair, flatscreen tv and blue ray. The gas fireplace and ceiling fan will help keep the temperatures just where you want them, summer and winter. Fully equipped kitchens include a built-in dining nook.

Each cabin has a bathroom with a large tiled shower with pebble floors and full glass front.

We spent two wonderful days at Snug Harbor Resort at Christmas time and had a great time in our “little cabin by the water” Very clean, everything we needed in the cabin and a short walk to the lobby/gift shop/coffee bar when needed. Resort staff were awesome during our stay. We already are looking forward to staying again. Highly recommended!!

Beautiful property tucked into a cozy harbor.

We loved our stay here. The cabin was super clean and beautiful. It was spacious with all the necessities and would have been room enough for a long stay if desired. We loved our view of the harbor, and walking on the docks with our coffee we purchased at their own coffee shop. We had a delicious latte, and and enjoyed browsing at their well-stocked gift shop. We went in the winter, so it was pretty quiet, which was great! The employees were warm, friendly, and helpful. Very pleasant stay great memories made. We definitely plan on being back.

Perched in Perfection

It’s a challenge to find comfortable, tastefully designed accommodations on San Juan Island. Snug Harbor is everything it describes in an ideal Pacific Northwest setting. This is where you come to hide away and rest.

Restorative Retreat

My week stay at Snug Harbor Resort was so restorative and refreshing after 2 years of Covid and working in the mental health profession. Snug Harbor gave me a tranquil, peaceful, and beautiful place to experience solitude and healing. The property and cabin are perfectly appointed, with thoughtfulness and intentionality for making the guests feel safe and cared for.

Best of both

We stayed a couple of days at the resort and loved it. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful, and the cabin was really cozy. We often use Vrbo for vacations but rarely stay at resorts. Snug harbor included the privacy and small touches you would expect from a nice Vrbo (kitchen supplies etc) but at checkout felt like a resort (you can just leave).

Snug Harbor Resort

What a wonderful cabin! Clean and comfortable. Stocked with everything we needed. The only concern was the internet and cell connection. Was working on a project that required both and it was an issue. Kept cutting in and out. As a getaway, the cabin and property were perfect. Front desk staff was very friendly and enabled us to check in early. I highly reccommend Snug Harbor.
