Large, elegant, comfortable garden level suite Vancouver getaway!

Wake up in a spacious, fully equipped two bedroom garden level basement suite a heritage house in Vancouver's Little Italy.

Decorated with elegance and comfort in mind, ceilings are high in this well maintained suite stocked with all the amenities you’ll need for your visit. We offer complimentary dark roast coffee, tea, coco and a few comfort supplies.

The two large queen bedrooms have comfy beds, fluffy duvets and pillows with nice linens. Enjoy spacious living, dining area and open plan kitchen that is fully equipped to create a delicious meal.

Enjoy your stay in this clean, comfortable, and fully equipped garden level suite. Note that in order to secure our municipal business license we removed the full range and replaced it with a cooktop. There is also an oven for toasting, broiling and pizzas.

Direct access through the garden by keypad to the common entrance, and the private entrance to the guest suite through a common area waiting for you.

Steps away from great cafes, convenience shops, transit connections, restaurants, cafes, award-winning micro breweries, shopping, and nightlife. 10 min from downtown, short drive to hiking trails & sandy beaches, the PNE and fairgrounds, free street parking.

Our character house is located in quiet, tree-lined residential neighbourhood that links directly to downtown, beaches and the mountain slopes.

5 Blocks to the famous Commerical Drive, an area known in Vancouver as Little Italy. You can walk to the city’s best gelato, Italian cafes, shops and a diverse selection of great restaurants, cafes, bakeries. We have wonderful delis cafes and a 7/11 for all the basic needs just blocks away.

Getting around
Ample, free street parking, with some permit spots to avoid - Happy to help with that!
5 block walk to Commercial Drive.
Public transit is access is steps away, linking to city- spanning Sky train.
10 min drive to downtown core.

We maintain a clean and welcoming suite with hosting and cleaning practices in place since our opening at the beginning of COVID-19:

✔ All of our rooms get thoroughly disinfected using disinfectant.
✔ Cleaning with bleach and similar products to disinfect all bathrooms and kitchens
✔ Use a germicidal disinfectant for the following high-touch surfaces: door and window handles, cabinet and drawer handle, TV remotes, and all light switches.

2 nights post cruise to visit Vancouver

Property was clean and well maintained. Lots of space for the 4 of us (2 couples). Beds very confortable. Coffee, tea and coco available to use. 7/11 across the street to get what we needed for breakfast. Jollean was quick to answer all our inquiries/needs and gave us a lot of information on what to see or do. Public transportation is near and easy to access. Lots of restaurants within 15 minutes walk. Would come back with great pleasure!

Good location, good communication from Jollean, although not quite as shown as photos. There is no stove as shown, only a small portable burner, and limited cooking facilities. There is a funky odour due to being in the basement. We could also hear the noise from upstairs, kids and a dog running around. In saying this, it suited us as we were out for most of the day and was ok for the price we paid.

The location of the suite is good. The state of the suite is also decent. The interaction with the host not so much.The main issue arose on the day we checked out.I used the bathroom sink in the morning and noticed that the water was pooling in the sink and not draining. I noticed that the sink stopper was depressed. I tried pushing the lever but the sink stopper wouldn’t budge.I looked under the sink to see if I could lift the lever from underneath the sink but I could not access the mechanism. So I lifted the sink stopper with my finger nails and the water drained. As the host had told me the previous day that she had back to back meetings on our check out day I did not talk to her about this (in my view) minor issue. Well, when we arrived home she had messaged me about how she had to get a plumber who had to use a wrench and how the plumber said I had to have used excessive force to break the mechanism.I’m pretty sure it’s not something out of the ordinary that sink stopper mechanisms eventually fail. I believe it’s called normal wear and tear and if you rent out a place you will have to take into account that these things happen.Of course the host is now saying that she will charge me the cost of the plumber etc. etc. She wants to make me pay for the upkeep of her unit. Not sure how this will go yet.I cannot recommend this suite due to the nature of the host.

Lovely home. Host very responsive, very quickly. She was friendly and had great suggestions for the neighborhood. I feel bad this review is late, but we left her place for an Alaskan cruise . Would love to stay here again if I'm ever back in Vancouver!

A bit disappointing

Location is convenient, easy to reach lots of restaurants. Space is great. However, the place is down in the basement, so it’s pretty humid. The towels and clothes never dried. There are so sort of mold in the closet, the bed frame is filthy, and the bedding is not clean. My daughter got bug bites, so did I. There is no stove but a portable burner on top of a stand along stand. No body soap, no kitchen towels. It didn’t match the pictures we saw on the website.

Vancouver

A little pretrip before a seven day cruise to Alaska. The space was perfect, very cozy, excellent location and plenty of things to do and see. Our host Jollean, was extremely helpful and gave us a recommendation of her favorite coffee shop, it was fantastic! We will definitely be coming back to explore more of Vancouver and the surrounding area.
