The main level offers a living room, dining area, well-equipped kitchen, full hallway bath, two bedrooms (including the master suite) and large private deck. West Lake is stocked with fish and features a white sandy beach for sunbathing. Central air conditioning, washer, dryer and more. 3 TVs, 2 DVDs, wood-burning fireplace, Wifi.

Location is nice but property needs a better cleaner and some updates

Location was good. Close to shops and the pool was clean. Couches definitely need to be replaced and the cleaner needs to do a much better job.

Cute and quiet

Very secluded in the back by Kent Avenue it was easy to go for walks and ride bikes not a lot of traffic. Only downside is the yellow line only has 1 tram running so you are waiting longer. The green lines cover more and have 2 trams running.

Not great...but okay!

Things were a bit outdated. It was quiet, and In a great location. But things in the home definitely needs some updates. Painting maybe, new appliances, and furniture inside and out. Things were dirty out on the patio, and we were weren't able to use. Not the worst, but it could be alot better for the price.

Birthday week

We came here to have a fun beach week for my daughter’s 6th birthday. Overall I think the Sea Colony is a great place. Cleanliness could’ve have been a smidge better. I think the biggest drawback is the lack of upgrades in the units. I also noticed this to be the case with the kitchenware. One of our pots had chip paint and rust which is absolutely dangerous. I caught while boiling water on the stove. I would definitely come again but the units need some serious upgrades.

Clean and spacious

The unit was Ok, it was clean and spacious. all appliances are very dated but functional, main issue was the front door gets stock and was really hard to open. Entrance area needs to be clean. Better instructions to open the electronic lock There are ants issue in the kitchen that needs to be attend. in general we liked the place and we enjoyed our vacations at Sea Colony as usual.

Decent location, no frills bare bones stay.

It’s okay if you don’t plan on being there much. It’s very dated which I normally dont mind but we were really grossed out by the unexpected couch stains, rusted/dirty appliances/cookware, poorly cleaned bathrooms etc. It could use a better cleaning crew in general.The fireplace is blocked off by the tiny television set and looks like you shouldn’t move the tv to use it. There is no coffee table like in the photo. Bathroom outlets don’t work. I’m sorry but I did feel the photos were not accurate. Vacasa kindly refunded my cleaning fee which I appreciated.

We wouldn’t sit on the couches.

I would strongly encourage the housekeeping staff to turn the refrigerator on much earlier. When we arrived the refrigerator was not cold and we had to request a small fridge because our food was going to spoil.

Horrific

Nothing positive to say in this review. The unit itself is very weathered and everything needs updating. But primary problem is the unit is just disgustingly dirty. The dishes and silverware were covered in food that caused a terrible smell. There are bug traps everywhere. The trash from the previous renters was not taken out. The oven is caked in burnt food. Bugs are splattered on the wall and ceiling by the doors. The TV in the family room was half the size of the pictured TV and there was no remote. Sat on hold with Vacasa for 30 minutes and finally just hung up. The owners have clearly not visited in a very long time. I wish I could share pictures in this review.

Has real potential, if clean


We arrived and found the location of the unit to be very nice. The outside area is beautiful. We are not in credibly picky people but immediately upon arrival we found many issues with cleanliness. The home had a strange smell. There were ants and spiders in each room. There were used towels on the back of the bathroom door. It did not appear the shower was thoroughly cleaned. We also had issues with the keypad. At one point we were locked out and Vacasa had to give us a new code as we stood outside early in the morning with our breakfast. When we contacted Vacasa about the ants and spiders the my had someone drop off spray and 2 small traps. We had to go buy more of our own ant killer and traps. The door to the closet was also broken off the hinges and placed inside the closet. We felt the home has real potential but it needs a deep cleaning and some general basic work inside. To be honest, we did everything we could to stay outside of the unit for as much of our stay as possible, which was fine, but also frustrating.

Thorough Cleaning Needed

Upon our arrival we discovered that there was some damage to the unit and it was poorly cleaned. There was a lot of dust in the kitchen, dining area, and living room on the walls, wall decorations, and curtains. There was hair and soap scum in the master bathroom shower and dust on the bathroom wall. The oven and toaster oven in the kitchen were both filthy. There is damage to the kitchen counter and kitchen floor. Also, the walls behind many of the doors have holes in them due to no door stops. The bed in the master bedroom didn’t have a mattress cover/pad. The pillows on the beds were small and some of the pillow cases were dirty. There is blood or some substance that looks like blood on one of the box springs in the small bedroom. The living room curtains don’t close properly. However, Vacasa did supply a mattress cover for the bed in the master bedroom. Also, they did send one person from housekeeping to clean some of the problem areas in the kitchen and living room. However, I still had to purchase a Swiffer duster to take care of the dust in the living room, dining area, and master bathroom. This unit must be thoroughly cleaned and the damage should be repaired before it is rented to anyone else.

Very comfortable and convenient. Nicely decorated. All the appliances worked, and the kitchen is well equipped. Showers apparently recently renovated and very attractive. A few minor dents and nicks here and there that didn't in any way interfere with our enjoyment of our stay.

Could have been great...

Some relatively minor cosmetic work would do wonders for this place... new blinds and paint. Also a screen that works on the sliding door and a new gasket on the front door. Glad we didn't have furry guests.

Sea Colony was amazing.

The house was great. It came fully furnished. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean. The private bus ran every 20 minutes to to take us to and from the beach and other amenities like the private indoor and outdoor pools hot tub and saunas. Will definitely be staying again.
