Great location close to world class tennis, outdoor pools and in-season beach shuttle stop! New throughout - everything has been replaced in the last four years! Featuring a large private deck, this one-level 2-bedroom, 2-bath Sea Colony Tennis Community condo features a living and dining area, well-equipped kitchen (with Keurig), full hallway bath, two bedrooms (including the master suite) and a large private deck! Central air conditioning, washer, dryer and more.  3 TVs, 2 Blu-rays, Keurig, Wifi.

Sea Colony - The Premier Family Beach & Tennis Resort Community - features a half mile of private beach, 12 pools (2 indoor), world class tennis, fitness centers, activities for all ages, community shuttle and year-round security. Sea Colony is ranked among Tennis magazine's Best U.S. Resorts and by Tennis Resorts Online as one of the finest in the world.

THINGS TO KNOW
There will be construction in the community from October 2023 through the spring of 2024. There will be noise related to various projects such as roof repair, piling repair, exterior painting, and road repair, but the vacation rental will be accessible at all times.
The Sea Colony Recreational Association requires a per person resort fee for guests ages 4 and older. This fee varies by time of year and is mandatory.
Delaware regulations require all guests sign a lease agreement within 10 days of booking. A lease agreement will be sent within 24 hours of booking and an electronic signature is required before final check-in information is made available.
This property is managed by Vacasa Delaware LLC.

Parking notes: There is parking available for a fee and charges will apply for 1 vehicle.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

Very disappointed
Preface: This is not the unit we rented. We booked a unit with VACASA several months ago, but one week before checkin they messaged that our unit was no longer available due to flooding, and offered only this unit as a substitute (or refund). I did not want to cancel our vacation and couldn’t find anything else on such short notice. Review: The Unit is small, worn, dated and dark. It was not cleaned well…Dust and lots of hair in corners of bathrooms, cobwebs, etc. Water pressure is barely a trickle if more than one person is using water. Walls are paper thin. Towels shed terribly leaving your body coated in lint. Stains on bedding in both bedrooms and couch. Deck was very dirty and in dire need of paint or stain. On a positive note, the king bed was comfortable. Sea Colony has great amenities and good location.

Pick another unit
This unit has a terrific location. But it doesn’t overcome the owner’s lack of concern for their tenant and the unit itself. My wife and I checked in and noticed multiple burn marks on the comforter, a very sparsely equipped kitchen which included only 3 wine glasses, worn-out deck furniture, a dust pan but no broom. When I asked for a replacement can opener because the one in the unit didn’t work, I was told you get what the owner did not want to provide one. I’ve rented many places before, but have never encountered an owner who cares less for their tenants.

Pet Allergies/ unit needs care
I called VACASA the day before our arrival to inform them of my allergy to pets. We arrived to our unit in the evening only to find pet hair all over the furniture and of course my allergies flared up. I called VACASA and they sent someone out to clean the furniture the next morning which I appreciated. What I don’t understand is why a thorough cleaning wasn’t done prior to my arrival. I paid good money to stay somewhere where I’d be comfortable not uncomfortable. Pet hair was still visible even after she cleaned. I woke up every day with my eyes swollen. It’s also very clear that the owner needs to update his/her unit. The only positive thing about this unit was the view of the small lake which had had a beautiful to view in the morning. I will never rent through VACASA again. In the future I’ll rent directly through an owner. Lesson learned ?

Dirty Sheets!
Excited to experience Sea Colony, we arrived late on a Friday to find that the sheets had not been changed, the kids beds had sand in them, the floor had not been swept or cleaned, there was excrement on the toilet. We had to sleep in the unit that way. The next day they sent a cleaning crew to fix most things, but they left cobwebs in the light fixtures. When we used the oven the next day after the cleaning, it created a huge cloud of smoke. So we spent much of our time cleaning. Management only offered a refund of half of the cleaning fee!

Tucked away residence with lake view
Nice private condo with a lake view and close to the beach access. I would have rated it a 5 but it was a little dusty. Also, the water pressure was a little low and the living room furniture and design of the condo could have been a bit more updated. Besides that we enjoyed our stay.
