Located on a quiet cul de sac on the fifth hole of Devils Knob Golf Course this charming Post and Beam mountain home is the perfect spot for a getaway or family trip.

The light filled Great Room with floor to ceiling glass, views to the course and cozy fireplace is the ideal gathering place for family and friends. You'll want to spend every afternoon relaxing on the beautiful screened in porch and every evening watching the stars and soaking tired muscles in the hot tub.

Perfect for a getaway with three bedrooms, each on its own floor for privacy and with its own bathroom, plus a second family room. Also features high-speed internet, which makes it an ideal option for work from home.

Conveniently located in the Wintergreen resort area that features golf, skiing, tennis, and more. Miles and miles of hiking trails are a stones throw away from the house. And while the house feels like a mountain escape, it is a quick drive to nearby breweries, wineries, restaurants, and only an hour-long drive to all the attractions in Charlottesville. The house also has a 65" 4K TV with a full range of streaming services and numerous board games for those days when you prefer to just stay indoors.

Great Place to Stay

We went for our annual fall foliage trip, great location. Close to all the local tap houses and wineries. Also close to apple orchards and If you are a golfer, gonna love this one as well. Great host and responds quick to messages. Good internet, which was a must for being able to work, even when you don't want to.

Great home and excellent communication

We enjoyed our stay and had excellent communication with Brandon. The hot tub was a great addition and held heat well for being around 10 degrees outside most of our stay. It did need water added but I had that conversation before our visit based on previous posts. The driveway and deck to the hot tub were icy when we arrived but the property management company came out the next day to lay salt melt and shovel some. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

If you want a hot tub. This isn't the place for you.

Nice house, but the hot tub didn't work the whole time we were there. I called and property manager who gave me a list of trouble shooting scenarios along with turning the breaker off and back on. He did discount $100, but became short with me as well. This was my main reason for renting the property. After a day on the slopes. It's a must to have a hot tube that is actually hot.

I was surprised and disappointed by this review. Ben and his family stayed at our house from Jan. 6-10. He first told me he was having an issue with the hot tub at 6pm on Jan. 8. I suggested some troubleshooting tips, but he didn't want to try himself and asked that we have the property manager come by, which we did the next day (Jan. 9). I am sorry that we weren't able to fix the problem fast enough for Ben and his family to enjoy the hot tub on their final day. Ben asked for a discount, and I immediately gave it to him. We did everything that we could to fix the problem as quickly as we could. I am sorry that there was a problem, but sometimes things break and it takes some amount of time to fix. I found this review to be deeply unfair given that Ben only told us about the problem near the end of his stay and we did everything we could to try to fix it.

Better than expected

This house was gorgeous and perfect for the family. It was roomy and open. It was higher up on the mountain than we thought but for us that was a plus. Everything was there we needed after the snow even a sled since we didn’t pack one. It was a great time. The only not perfect thing was after the snow the hot tub cooled off and we didn’t get to enjoy that as much as we would have liked but it was a perfect place to stay.

Great space for a family. The views are awesome and the home was cozy. Great location to the Blue Ridge mountains. Will book again!

Great time on the mountain

We very much enjoyed our 4 night stay at this home in the woods. Nice open spaces with great wooded views. Comfortable master bed. Great kitchen and dining area. Great deck. Lots of cozy seating areas too.

It was the perfect amount of room with room to spare, It was the perfect location, It was very clean, The owners answer any question that I had which I did not have a lot because all of the information that I needed was provided either on the listing and the emails or when we arrived in the info book provided. Would highly recommend!

Beautiful Setting!

The house was exactly as pictured. Very well stocked with everything we needed. It was really nice to have all the little extras, i.e., tissues, hand soap, shampoo, dish soap and sponges, etc. Hot tub was very relaxing after a day of hiking. Enjoyed the Upper Shamokin Falls trail that was only minutes away by car. Favorite brewery was Brewing Tree about 30 mins away. Wild Wolf and Devils Backbone were good too.

Relaxing Mountain Getaway

Lovely house in Wintergreen resort. Spacious living space and a very well-appointed kitchen for all of your cooking needs. Nice deck, screened porch, and hot tub. Close to all local attractions and wineries. Family fun year round. Brandon and Anil were responsive and organized hosts. Looking forward to the next to the next time.

Easy, quick ski trip

This was a great spot for our two night ski trip. Great fun for our teens downstairs with video games and board games after a day on the slopes. They loved the hot tub too. Thankful for the basics since our trip was short and I didn’t want to go on a hunt for things like toilet paper and coffee filters. Thank you for supplying plenty to get by. Homeowners were pleasant to plan with. Great trip. We would rent again!

Awesome weekend getaway

I stayed here with a friend and our 4 boys ages 4-8. The house is located in a perfection location on the mountain close to everything at Wintergreen Resort. The house is very clean and has plenty of space for at least 2 familys to enjoy. The downstairs is PERFECT for kids. They loved having seperate space from the adults with a 65inch TV and nintendo switch. They enjoyed movie nights and playing video games. The hot tub was a nice touch. . It did have a musty smell so we only used it once. The owner Brandon was very attentive and responded quickly to any concerns we had. Just FYI. Keep an eye out for weather (snow). We got snowed in and unable to leave the driveway . Brandon had someone come to plow, but it wasn’t till around 4pm that we could get out of the driveway. Glad we didn’t have anything booked that day like skiing or tubing. Park at the end of the driveway if several inches of snow are in the forecast. The main roads are plowed first thing in the morning. Overall we had an amazing time and would definitely come back again! Thanks for having us!

Excellent Stay

Our family spent a long weekend at Wintergreen and enjoyed the property. The home is in great shape, is in an excellent location, and we would most certainly stay there again.

Great Location and Cabin

The place was lovely! It had everything we needed for cooking and plenty of space. The selection of board games was great as well. We loved the huge windows and were grateful the resort clears the snow so quickly because it snowed while we were there. The host also answered any questions we had very quickly. Our only feedback would be it would be great to have more instructions on how to turn on the hot tub in the welcome book. It takes hours to heat up so if you want to use it the first night make sure you turn it on as soon as you arrive. We think it would be a good idea to mention that in the check in information email in attention to the welcome book.

Excellent and relaxing place!!!

Perfect location to enjoy with family and friends! We had a wonderful time in December. Pleasant home that is decorated nicely. We loved this place as this is tucked in a quiet area just few mins out from the Wintergreen ski resort. The living room with large windows looking out the tree lines—absolutely serene and peaceful. We enjoyed the hot-tub, fireplace and upstairs and downstairs both featured an entertainment area. Our party of 7 w/3yrs old all got super comfortable beds after a long day at the slopes. We are looking forward to our next trip here. Thank you Brandon and Anil!

An absolutely perfect getaway :)

just WOW! the pictures do not do this place justice! every detail of the home is beautiful it’s so spacious and the location is amazing. there’s hiking trails you can walk to from the property, the kitchen is top notch with amazing appliances and cookwares, the host was super communicative, the hot tub was a great touch, i honestly can’t say enough about how awesome our stay was! :) My fiancé and enjoyed every second of our stay and would happily come back. 11/10
