LAC NANTAHALA~~MAISON SPACIEUSE EN BORD DE LAC

Enjoy our large and comfortable lakefront home. The Cool Cat Cottage features three levels with den and fireplace on main level, a well equipped kitchen, master suite & a separate bath on the main floor, and 2 large bedrooms with a full bath upstairs. All the bedrooms have a water view.
Downstairs there's a bunk room with three full-sized beds, and a full bath. Also downstairs, there is a kitchenette with full size fridge and microwave, a game room with a pool table, and a home theater room with a 72 inch screen.

WE HAVE HIGH SPEED INTERNET via STARLINK for your online needs!

There's a big rocking chair front porch with a gas grill on main level and a patio with a porch swing below. Unlike most Lake Nantahala homes, there are no steep stairs to the lake. Just walk out of the downstairs door, and make your way down to the lake, passing down a few stairs to a shady deck with a picnic table and sitting area, down a few more steps to the fire pit, and down the gangway to our large private dock with swim platform and use of 2 kayaks, 2 stand up paddle-boards and life vests. Large parking area with room for at least 4 cars.

The Cool Cat Cottage is perfect for family gatherings and relaxing times at the Lake. If you are planning a big party or loud celebrations into the early hours, this is not the place for you. Our neighbors are our friends and sound carries across the Lake. Quiet hours are 10pm - 8am. We are happy to share our house but please be respectful.

Our family loved this house. The lake is beautiful and just steps away from the house. It's very comfortable, clean, and spacious. The host was very helpful and informative. We definitely hope to return next Summer.

We had an amazing stay! The secluded location was exactly what we were looking for—peaceful, relaxing, and surrounded by beautiful scenery. The home was clean, comfortable, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a great getaway. If you’re looking for a quiet escape on Lake Nantahala, this is the perfect place. We’d definitely stay here again!

Lovely stay on Lake Nantahala

We had a great stay for a few days! The house was VERY well stocked; kitchen and bathrooms. The lake lovely, home cozy and accommodating. We enjoyed rafting at the NOC, did some hiking and relaxed! Should we be in the area again, we would definitely stay again. Thank you for opening your home for us to enjoy!

Great Lake House

The cabin was very clean and well appointed. It is quite possibly the closet cabin you can rent to the Nantahala Wedding facility.

We loved staying at this lake house! It was so fun with all the amenities and the house was stocked with everything we needed. We loved having the kayaks and standup paddle board, the pool room and movie room. The kids loved it! Thank you! We will be back!

Nice place!

Only comment I would say is the trail walking down to the lake needed a little maintenance. But it was close to the lake and a pretty easy trek down. Nice place. Would stay again!

Such a perfect spot to stay for our family wedding at Nantahala Weddings. Right across the street! Super view. Early mornings on the dock were just lovely!

The space was great for a family gathering from all over the country with enough room to entertain and be comfortable. The amenities were all very nice and the house had almost everything you could ask for in a short term rental. Clean with a great view of the lake and the mountains, although it was maiming most of our trip, it was still nice to look at in the fall foliage. The pool table was used but only one cue had a bump so we had to share a bit but definitely a nice entertainment area for family and kids. Had a great time and enjoyed our stay!Thank you!

The cabin was absolutely beautiful, the views were breath taking and the cabin was furnished very, very nicely. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and plenty of towels and blanket. Kitchen had everything you needed. The kids loved the movie room and all the games

Wedding week

The house is beautiful and fully stocked with necessities. Plenty of blankets and towels. The view is amazing and so close to the wedding venue. We love our stay and highly recommend the space. Thanks for a great week!

Great Trip

Great trip to the area. The house was actually slightly larger than I anticipated and the kitchen was well stocked. The amenities of the kayaks and paddle boards was a big plus. The dock was also very nice and close to the house The shared drive to the house is very narrow but thankfully I never met another vehicle coming or going so it was a non-issue. I would definitely recommend if the description meets your requirements.

Kitty’s Cool Cat Cottage

Pros: The location was excellent, beautiful setting on the lake. Kitchen and bathrooms were clean. The downstairs game room area is nice. Good Wi-Fi through star link, but it is unsecured.Cons: Inside the house there was a foul odor. There were cobwebs and thick dust on the furniture. The dryer doesn’t dry towels but other items were dried okay. There were branches hanging over the walkways to the dock, and a step missing. Bedding was moderately uncomfortable. Some outdoor chairs required cleaning and were cracked and broken.In summary, okay stay but very rustic, not big on cleanliness or comfort. Felt like I paid 3.5 star rates for a 2 star stay.

It was a beautiful spot! Nantahala Park is a pretty special place, surrounded by nature and the spectacular views of the sparkling lake from the house, and short walk down to the dock. The house was so clean and spacious with lovely extra large bedrooms. We were with family staying for a wedding nearby. It was the perfect location, with gorgeous views and indoor and outdoor sitting areas and dinning tables. We cooked and bbq’d.We were a group of 7, ranging from 2-75 yrs old. It was so nice having the master bedroom on the main floor, with 2 full bathrooms on that floor. The bedrooms upstairs were also really nice and spacious with a nice bathroom. The bunnies room on the lower floor which was the walk-out basement was a lot of fun and comfortable, again with a full bathroom. We had a great time going for a swim in the lake. Then kids loved it! There were also kayaks, and life jackets to use, for adults and kids sizes. We went to the marina near by and rented a boat for an afternoon too which was an exciting and beautiful way to see the lake and the park. The hosts were so nice and responded to our questions before going. We really didn’t need to contact them while there cause everything was ready for us. We all said we wished we could have stayed longer!

We had the best time staying at the Lake House on Nantahala Lake. The house was so well equipped and the kids loved the boat dock and the kayaks and other water toys. Our only regret was that we could not have stayed longer. I highly recommend this great house.

Nice place to stay with plenty of room. Great kitchen full of tools to cook and nice fireplace and porch. The path to the lake could use a little work but, not bad if you’re careful. Overall enjoyed the stay and peaceful surroundings.
