Marcie is a great host and their property was a perfect fit for us! There was a lot of time spent in the water or on it fishing. The water is clear and has a nice shallow beach. The kayaks and paddleboard was used every day for traveling on the lake, and plenty of golf nearby for the golfers. The pickleball barn was a lot of fun for the family Matches. The house was very comfortable for the entire family and a great time was had by all. Thanks again Marcie.

Great ski weekend getaway!

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely lake home. It was minutes from the ski lodge! The Pickle Barn was a bonus feature for our family and friends!

Great stay!

The house and lake were a fantastic place for our two families to stay. The lake water was clean and the house and outside had lots of spaces to for us to enjoy each others company yet not feel crowded. Marcie was a great host; we hope to come back next summer!

Tranquil location

Eagle lake is a peaceful rural location. We stayed for a full week and had the entire lake to ourselves the majority of time. The home is well equipped and located with an expansive water view. We would definitely consider staying here again.

Lake Fun

Great home. Clean. The house has everything you need and has a nice view of lake. We recommend renting a boat since there is a dock in the back and there are many sandbars to anchor the boat and enjoy swimming, floating on rafts, tubing, and fishing. We also enjoyed the pickleball court. Close neighbors; need to keep it down.

Great family getaway

We had a wonderful family vacation at this beautiful lake property. There is something for everyone to enjoy. We were especially thankful for all of the thoughtful features for kids, toys, cribs, safety gates, door alarms, bunk beds, life jackets and outside toys, kids plates/cups and even a high chair! They thought of everything! The water was beautiful, clear, and shallow with a nice sandy bottom for the little ones to enjoy. The pickle ball barn was a huge hit! Thank you for hosting us in this beautiful property.

Eagle Lake vacation home

This is a lovely family friendly house on a quiet lake. Since our group included a toddler and a baby we really appreciated the crib, high chair, stair gates, and toys. The furnishings are modern and the beds were very comfortable. The packages of snacks and toiletries were a nice surprise. We also enjoyed being able to rent the pontoon boat. Thank you!

Perfect!

We needed to find a place large enough to house family members who were coming in town for my daughters wedding. Fantastic stay!

We loved this property! I spent a week with my husband and our toddler and crawling infant. The house was clean and comfortable. The amenities for small children were very helpful and made the vacation easier and enjoyable, but it wasn’t overwhelming to take away from the lake house feel. The lake is very clean and warm. Marcie and Nate were responsive and pleasant, too. Thanks for sharing your home with us. We will be back!

Great house/great view/great lake

I knew upon arriving that we made the right choice for a weekend with friends. The house is as advertised - clean, plenty of room, excellent views, and well equipped kitchen. We opted for the boat rental which made the trip that much better. We really enjoyed Eagle Lake, parking at a beach with a nice sandy bottom (the entire lake seems to have fairly hard, sandy bottom), just hanging out. The lake is exceptionally clear, with minimal boating noise. Just a great time. The hosts are very responsive and helpful, if needed. Highly recommend!

Beautiful House on Eagle Lake

We had a family ski trip weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our time at the house. Check was easy, the house was clean and the view of the lake in the main living room is just stunning! We loved the complimentary snacks and toiletries left for us! The house had board games, books and toys to keep all the kids entertained the whole weekend. The adults had a great time having a hot shot tournament with the basketball arcade in the basement. We loved our stay and would definitely come back if we do another ski trip to Bittersweet or Timber Ridge. Thank you for a great stay!

Our Corona 2nd annual trip

Our family along with 2 other families stayed at this property from 7.31.21 to 8.7.2021. The property is very well maintained. Marcie has thought of everything her guests could possibly need. Full kitchen with crock pot; Keurig; as well as a water filtration system for drinking. She has a basket that she leaves some snack items in. The only issue we had was the upstairs was slightly hot, I was aware of it thanks to other reviews, so I was prepared and packed some fans. Our weather was perfect, the lake is quiet and the neighbors are very friendly. We will definitely keep this property in mind for future stays! We typically go to different areas in Michigan for our summer vacation as we like to see all that this state has to offer!

Relaxing, spacious and welcoming

We do an annual family get together with my brothers' and sister's families. So we have a mixture of families and ages... and this place was amazing. Everyone had fun and found their activities and their space. There was enough room and space for everyone. Outside is great, with a walk-in sandy bottom... Great for swimming, fishing and even sand castle building. When we weren't outside, the kids loved the basement (and the bball pop a shot)! We cooked breakfast every morning on the outdoor griddle... I miss it now! So easy to feed everyone on the big griddle. I can't thank Marcie enough for hosting. There were so many nice touches that made us feel welcome and at home (towels, coffee, a Berkey filter, etc). We did have the power go out, and the generator kicked on automatically - it's like they thought of everything! Thank you! I hope we can make it back!

Great Family Lake House Vacation

My husband and I and our two grown sons/wives and four grandchildren (ages 3, 5, 7 and 10) just completed a week stay at Eagles Nest. We had a wonderful time at this home and I would recommend it as a family vacation site. The home was very clean and exactly as displayed in the photos. This is a great home for a large family. The little ones especially enjoyed playing in the sand and shallow water. My older grandsons fished off the pier and caught many different kinds of fish. A large expansive deck outside of the main floor has two big picnic tables for many enjoyable dinners. The home is well maintained with good quality towels (and plenty of them) and bedding. The ground level area with a large TV, bunk beds, sofas and toys worked perfect for all of the children and allowed the adults time to relax on the upper level. This was our first time visiting Eagle Lake and we were impressed with the clear shore water, and quiet atmosphere. The home is located close enough to both South Haven and Kalamazoo to allow for enjoyable day trips including kayaking, biking, golfing, the Michigan Maritime Museum and the Aero Space Museum. We had a great vacation at Eagles Nest!

Just Fabulous!

I have to tell you that your place is fabulous!! We couldn’t have asked for a better home to bring our families to. No detail seemed to have been missed. The house is beautiful and in immaculate condition when we arrived. Bedrooms were spacious and bathrooms clean. Your well thought out home essentials, proved that I brought way more items than needed! We hosted our kids and grandkids for the week and there was something for all ages. We had 2 "crawlers" and the addition of baby gates throughout the home and alarms that signaled whenever anyone entered or left, were such a big help in keeping our grandkids safe. The game room was a big plus and the remote controlled 2-story shades opening to the lake were a dramatic hit for all ages. Eagle Lake is small yet beautifully clear and lots of shallow space for the little ones to have a blast swimming and fishing. I was a bit worried about the amount of dry sand for the kids to play in. But they hardly set foot in it! Too busy in the water! (I could have saved some $$ by not buying all those sand toys!). The biggest testament was from all our little ones: they all cried not wanting to leave their “vacation home” when it was time to go. Thank you, Marcie, your quick replies to all my random questions was a huge relief. We will definitely return to Eagles Nest!!
