About the property:

This cozy Grand Haven home is nestled in the dunes with unobstructed nature views from every window. The light and scenery bring the wooded setting right to your back porch. The perfect place to unwind and disconnect by the beach.

The main floor's open concept hosts a large kitchen with high end appliances, living room, dining area and family room with wood floors and half bath. The family room opens to an incredible backyard deck area and the stone fireplace perfect for creating lasting memories with family and friends over roasted marshmallows. Upstairs, you will find the three spacious bedrooms including a master suite, two bathrooms with double sinks, and an area to do laundry.

Located between Holland and Grand Haven for convenient shopping and activities. If you are up for a hike, climb the steps off the backyard to enjoy beautiful sunset views over the lake. If you like hiking, swimming, biking, or just laying by the beach; this town has so much to offer!


**Lake Michigan water levels are at a record breaking high and have washed away a large portion of our beloved dunes along with the steps leading to the private beach. No worries though, there are plenty of beaches less than a mile away to enjoy!

Nice getaway

The home is well furnished with plenty of space for family to visit. The grandkids liked climbing the steps up the dune. Would stay there again.

Wonderful family getaway

This was a great find! It was the perfect location nestled between Grand Haven and Holland. We loved staying here with our extended family and will stay here again if we return to this area. House was clean and property surrounding was so quiet.

Location location location

We enjoyed our stay at Casa Amaryak. The home is located between grand haven and holland MI, close to beaches and a short ride to restaurants and shopping. The house is very clean, spacious, and ideal for cooking. We appreciated that the kitchen had everything we needed. It’s located in a beautiful area!!

Family Vacation

Loved our stay here! House was clean, had everything we needed for a relaxing trip. Great location and easy drive to Holland and Grand Haven. Loved Windsnest beach just a few miles up the road. Our kids didn’t want to leave. Would definitely come back and recommend.

Beautiful neighborhood

Came to town for GVSU commencement and perfect place to accommodate the family. Great pathway for morning walks and catching the sunset over Lake Michigan. Access to beach is not for the faint of heart. 100 steps! House is beautiful and perfect bedroom/bath set up to accommodate adults. Houses well stocked with items to make the space feel like home.

Quiet Family Getaway

In the Shade, By the Beach was a great property close to Holland, beaches and parks. The setup was perfect for our group of 7 including two young children and 5 adults. The kitchen was well equipped for meals at home and the back patio was peaceful. The views from the top of the dunes on the property were incredible despite the beach being inaccessible.

Very nice

We loved the house. Kitchen had everything you’d need. Beds were comfy. Laundry and all appliances were top of the line. Highly recommend this home. Ps, the restaurant at the the end of the street “ Sandy Point “ was delicious too

Wedding weekend

We were in town because my son was getting married at Camp Blodgett. We decided to make a 4 day weekend out of it and golf different courses in area too. The house was very nice inside and had plenty of spaces inside to socialize or find a spot yourself. Beds were comfortable, showers were spacious and bedrooms were too. I would definitely stay here again. And definitely take the walk up to the beach overlook.

The inside was clean and nice, but the outside needs some love. There were tons of huge spiders. I understand the house is in the woods but the outside needs to be cleaned up and maintain and regularly visited by pest control. There were moldy coffee grounds in the coffee maker and the house had a musty smell. We couldn’t use the deck due to how dirty it was. It’s not a hill to the beach. It’s a hike. Other than those things we enjoyed our stay. The inside of the house is really nice and in a quiet location.

Family Getaway

We had an amazing time staying at this cozy property in the woods! It accommodated the 6 of us comfortably. Very clean, and had everything we didn’t bring from home. We enjoyed bonfires, grilling out and the trek up the stairs to watch the sunset. The only downside was not being able to access Lake Michigan from the property. Kouw Park right down the road had an amazing playground, beach, and lake access. Highly recommend this property to a family wanting to explore the Holland area!

Winter stay

We rented for a couple months over the winter while our house was remodeled. Maggy was great to work with! She’s a great communicator and quick to respond to respond to any questions. The house was perfect for our family of 4. It had all the basics of everything we needed. Best part is the stairs to an amazing view of Lake Michigan. It was a great workout with a beautiful reward at the end. Perfect location between holland and grand haven.

House was fine

The property was in a good location, between Holland and Grand Haven. We enjoyed our stay, but didn’t think the beds were that comfortable. The living room couch needs to be replaced and we did find it super strange that there was 1 kitchen towel, no full size towel bars in the upstairs full bathroom and the closets in the 2 bedrooms had racking in them and no place to hang up clothing.

Beautiful Location with Full Amenities

The Montana family decided to come to the Michigan family to celebrate Thanksgiving in 2024. This home was a perfect location for the nearby MI family. The home is surrounded by trees and is in an absolute beautiful setting. Kitchen was fully furnished to accommodate seveal homemade meals. The grandparents loved the quiet sitting area off the kitchen for morning coffee and Wordle. The living room was cozy and the proximity of the kitchen table allowed for all to enjoy the TV. Bedrooms were generous in size and very accomodating for 4 adults and 3 children. Bathrooms were spacious. Owners were quick with responses when questions were asked. Garage did have tools availabile to help with the snowfall that occured while we were there. There were several nice parks right down the street. Cant wait to come back in the summer months to enjoy the yard and backdeck, and of course Lake Michigan. Thank you again for a wonderful stay!

Stayed only 2 nights

Very clean. Great location. All the little "extras" like soap, paper towels, toilet paper, laundry pods, etc.. are an extra touch that makes vacationing here easier. For our short stay we didn't need to buy or bring these extras and it was appreciated.
