(Note: for some reason VRBO shows Vail as 49 miles away from Minturn... but that's not correct. It's 7 miles and a 10 min drive to Vail from our house door-to-door. Similar distance to Beaver Creek)

Welcome to your new favorite place! What people love most about Minturn is that it is a 10 min drive to Vail/Beaver Creek but it feels miles away, with no highway noise and a real historic, charming town (Minturn has real history and charm). This home is on one of the best lots in Minturn with 140' of riverfront, epic views and 1 block from Main St (shops, food, etc). All beds and bedding are very high quality and super comfortable - think Ritz or Four Seasons quality (all Cal King).

There is a video in the picture gallery that will give you a great feel of the layout - we have completely refurnished the place since this video with newer more contemporary furniture (Restoration Hardware, etc). The pictures show the new furniture.

Great house in Minturn!

Great home on huge riverfront lot. Great hot tub views and easy walking to convenience store/restaurants/bars/shops/etc. Owner was great. Plenty of parking. Great back deck. We loved this house

Great Home on a Scenic River

This was a great place to stay located right on the River in Minturn Colorado. The Host was most accommodating to all of our requests. Sitting by the River and relaxing with a cup of coffee was a most relaxing experience!

Generous space, very easy in & out!

We very much enjoyed the spacious home and terrific location in darling Minturn and the ease to get in and out of other communities off I 70. Very special spot right on the river. Great hot tub easy kitchen generous living space and very large bedrooms. Terrific home!

Beautiful Property and Great Location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owner was very helpful and attentive. The property is beautiful - great views on the river, awesome spa, toasty fireplace, and conveniently located between Vail and Beaver Creek. Just a couple of things and it will be first class. A few walls could use some patching and touchup paint. And it would have been nice to have dressers in each bedroom room. Thank you!

Great spot for a mountain getaway

I highly recommend this property. We stayed as a group of 5 (3 teens, 2 adults) and there was plenty of space. The house was clean and comfortable. Very well stocked with regards to towels, utensils, etc. We took advantage of the fire pit and the hot tub. We were able to bring both of our dogs :). The location was fantastic. We could hear the sounds of the river from our beds, and we ate breakfast on the deck overlooking the river every morning. Minturn is super close to both Vail and Avon, and there is tons to do (we went hiking, fishing, and paddle boarding). Our host was exceptionally responsive. We did not have any issues that needed assistance, but he was great about checking in and making sure everything was going okay. We would love to stay there again!

Overpriced house; not ideal for anyone with pet allergies

Our family was hoping for a comfortable ski vacation in a sweet town. Instead we arrived to an overpriced home that smelled badly of cheap cleaner trying to cover up pet dander. A real bummer; this house is not worth the fee and I don’t recommend it.

If you look at all of our reviews on this and the other popular vacation rental sites they are all 5 stars. We have rented three homes over the past 10 years and Pesha was the worst guest we’ve ever had. She didn’t tell us she was bringing dogs, which we do allow for a $250 fee, and we found out from our neighbors that she brought two dogs - one of them was a 6 week old unhousebroken puppy. I can't imagine ever bringing a puppy that isn't housebroken into someone's home without even asking them, so this should tell you something about her character. We kindly told her that she needed to pay the $250 pet fee and that if there were any stains or damage we would have to charge her extra for that too. After she left there were three urine stains on our carpets and the dog chewed the corner of our couch. We brought this to her attention and asked her what she thought would be fair for her to contribute to getting the house carpets steam cleaned - I left it up to her to make an offer. But of course we needed to steam clean the carpets throughout the entire house after finding three stains. I would have been fine with any gesture... her offer was to give us $0 for the damage her dogs did. She only chose to leave us this bad review after I gave her a 1-star review. I knew that she would be notified of our bad review and that this would likely trigger her to leave us a bad review... but I felt it was important to warn other hosts of her behavior. Pasha isn’t welcome in our home and I don't recommend letting her stay in yours. It is odd to me that she mentions "not ideal for anyone with pet allergies" since she brought two dogs herself and our listing does clearly state that we allow dogs. It is also odd that Pesha gave us a bad review when she was referred to us by her friend who stayed at this house, loved it, and immediately asked to rent it in the summer.

I fell in love with Minturn when I took a year off after college to be a ski bum in Vail. The town is amazing and it has such a unique and authentic feel. I love the mountains of Vail and Beaver Creek but the towns are too touristy for my taste. Minturn gives you the best of both worlds - easy access to Vail and Beaver Creek but a home in a real, authentic town that feel very remote (even though it is only a few miles away).

We live in Boulder, CO but we spend a lot of time in Minturn - part of the reason it isn't available very often ;)

Our favorite things about this home:
- only 10 minutes from Vail or Beaver Creek but it feels totally remote
- the beds and bedding are high quality and comfortable (think Ritz) and they are all California Kings from Urban Mattress in Boulder, CO. Sleep well!
- the hot tub is huge, new and high quality (it can seat 8 but we find it most comfortable with 4-6 adults)
- it is on the Eagle River. Fall asleep to the sound of the river
- the family room is great for chilling after skiing - it is huge, with a cozy fireplace, a very high ceiling, and beautiful views of the river, national forest land, a mountain peak and Lionshead rock.
- walking distance to shops, restaurants, bars, etc (good take-out during Covid)
- it's a great place to escape with your family and friends
- Minturn is a mecca for backcountry skiing, snowmobiling, mountain biking trails, hiking, snowshoeing... all from your front door
- the fishing in your backyard is good year-round (check out Minturn Anglers for local tips, guides, etc).
- if you're comfortable backcountry skiing, you can ski down to Minturn from Vail via the Minturn Mile (at your own risk)
- no highway noise or crowds!!!
- Minturn is a real town, established in the late 1800's and formally incorporated in 1904. Unlike Vail or Beaver Creek you feel like you're in a real town!!!
- Sonos sound system throughout the house
- Very high wifi bandwidth with a google wifi nested system throughout the house
- two big screen TV's in the family room and downstairs media room with streaming services. The upstairs TV has the Sonos bar and subwoofer so it sounds great for loud movies.
- Large GE washing machine and dryer for getting your ski gear ready to use again

Reasons this place may not be for you:
- you want to be walking distance to the lifts of Vail/beaver Creek (Minturn is a 10 min drive, bus ride or uber ride away)
- you want to party like a rock star in Vail or Beaver Creek and not have to drive or Uber home (Minturn is a local scene)
