Private Lake Sissabagama house retreat

Thanks for the great review and we're glad you and your group enjoyed their stay! We couldn't agree more with you as the privacy and up north feel is why we fell in love with the property. We look forward to having you come back in the future.

I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. We're working to update the beach area and create a better swimming area for kids of all ages. Some of the enhancements can be seen in the updated pictures. The sandbar is a great place to swim, fish and just hang out and I'm glad you all enjoyed it! It's our favorite spot on the lake. We hope to have you back! Brian

Kristine Thank you for your feedback and I’m glad you enjoyed your Week at Big Siss Retreat! You are correct the ice maker is working again ,simple water supply issue. ( sorry for inconvenience). Also power will be wire down to dock by August. Contractor schedules are tough right now. Enjoy the rest of your summer and we hope to have you back in the Fall/winter and Next summer. Take care, Mitchell

Matt, Thank you for your response and I agree with you the wireless misses the mark beyond Wi Fi calling and texting/email. The dsl provider only offers one speed and I look forward to future faster options which I will upgrade when available. I will consider adding a human powered boat /canoe for next season. small correction on Pontoon it is a 3 day minimum rental. Appreciate you staying with us and look forward to earning your return in late season or 2019. Sincerely, m

Thank you very much for taking the time to write a review. We are glad you enjoyed your vacation and liked the cabin. The spacious cabin and porch are always the favorites. Thank you for your insight on the deck, we will power clean it this fall, we have had quite a bit of rain and it must have became slippery. Big Sissabagama is know for having iron in the water giving the lake a "reddish" appearance sometimes. It is very clear at the beginning of the summer but we have reached the end of the summer and it does get hazy with a reddish tone. Thank you for your stay and I hope you will return again. Lisa & Paul

We have worked very hard to create an amazing retreat for our guests and always wish for them to have the best time. To address the items you commented on…We have a very detailed VRBO listing including professional photos and virtual tour of both the inside and outside of the cabin to ensure an accurate depiction for potential guests. The VRBO listing also states the square footage of the home (2,200 sq ft) and amenities included. We provide kayaks, paddle boat, and a fire pit for outdoor enjoyment as well as games, foosball, dvds, wii, for indoor enjoyment. There is also a large yard and beach area for guests to enjoy. We were very surprised to see your comment on the WiFi as we have had wonderful success. Last winter we had multiple children on zoom all day during distance learning while also working full time with several zoom calls a day. We also provide YouTube TV through WiFi and have had no issues streaming. We always try to make ourselves readily available, so we certainly wish you would have addressed this with us during your stay, as we may have been able to assist you. As for the beach/swimming area…we have been working to create a better swimming area for all ages. We cleaned up the shoreline, brought in sand and continue to clean up the weeds/ swimming area! We appreciate your feedback and will always continue to improve our retreat!

Thanks so much for your review and wonderful comments in our guest book! We are so glad you had such a great time! We would love to have your group back anytime!

Thank you so much for your kind review! We are so glad to hear it worked well for your group. We’ve worked really hard to freshen the inside and outside up, and the fish cleaning shed was an addition this year. So glad to hear it worked out so well!
