Enjoy warming up in front of our beautiful, easy on gas fireplace. Our home easily sleeps 10! or even 12 if you utilize our two huge, top -grain leather sofas... Seat 12 between the dining table and the adjacent four seat breakfast bar. Your family cooks will enjoy our brand new, just completed- May 2023, "mountain modern" kitchen! You will love our custom designed solid wood cabinets in a classic Briarwood design; the honed silver travertine backsplash, top of the line quartz countertops and breakfast bar with 4 comfy, plush swiveling chairs; top quality Samsung appliances, and a deep double hammered copper sink...It's just gorgeous!
Four comfortable bedrooms and three full baths. Three of the bedrooms and two of the baths are on the main level! Downstairs is a whole separate area with its own living room, large bedroom with two comfy twin beds, a coffee and microwave station, and a very spacious and renovated full bath... Also has its own outside entrance to the back patio area, and doorway to the two car garage as well.

We know you will enjoy our comfortable, updated home...Room for a crowd or nice elbow room for a couple to enjoy this Sapphire Valley home at a cool and comfortable 3725’ elevation. You may not even use the air conditioning if you visit in the summer! We have tried to include all the conveniences you are accustomed to, such as lots of pillows to choose from to suit your firmness desires; hair dryers in the home; well stocked with TP, paper towels and laundry detergent. Service for 12 dishes, quality flatware And even Hinkle ever sharp steak knives! All brand new appliances, new 'Hickory' floors in most of the house, new lighting and art work; new bedding! Our winter ski season is finishing up right now at the very family friendly Sapphire Valley ski slopes. They have all you need to enjoy the gentle slopes, from skis and snowboards, and tubes to have a blast on the tube slope. They even rent ski bib pants! Slopeside Tavern is right there beside the ski lift and the tubing hill with coffee and cocoa and some of the best burgers in town.

Summer in Sapphire Valley resort is incredible with great
weather to swim, fish and picnic Lake Fairfield, hike Whiteside Mountain, enjoy boating on Lake Glenville, view the many waterfalls...Concerts on the slopes, Farmers Markets; Golf, tennis and pickleball is great as the weather is wonderful! Come home from each day's adventures to our newly updated home, which includes even the simple luxuries to make your visit comfortable and safe, such as new pillows and washable pillow protectors, new sheets, blankets, and comforters. Enjoy the ‘easy-on’ gas fireplace to take the chill off in the mornings or evenings. This light and bright home has all the comforts you are used to. Free fiber optic high speed WI-FI, internet, computer desk with printer for those who need to work a little while away from home; a new smart, “Frame” TV over the fireplace…it looks like a piece of fine art when the TV is off!

The main level offers 3 spacious bedrooms and 2 full baths; dining table seats 8, and you can even seat 6 more with 4 at the kitchen bar and 2 at the living room bistro/game table. The lower level of the home includes a spacious bedroom with twin beds, and a very comfortably large, newly remodeled full bath; a living room furnished for fun, games and leisure; and including a NEW Queen sofa bed...A family of 4 can easily enjoy this space, or let 4 of your teenagers have it!!!

WE HAVE MANY BROCHURES AND MAGAZINES TO HELP YOU EXPLORE AND MAXIMIZE YOUR ENJOYMENT OF YOUR STAY IN THE SMOKIE MOUNTAINS. There are many easy and wonderful day trips to take with our house as your home base.

Very close by, the home is an easy short drive to the beautiful and popular Fairfield Lake with its family friendly beach for swimming, canoeing, fishing, and picnic pavilion; Enjoy golf and all the fun amenities at the Community Center, which includes Red Bird Golf course, tennis and pickleball, pools, fitness, game room, putt putt, playground, walking track, trails, and picnic area. We can arrange for amenities cards for you to enjoy all of the Sapphire amenities for $2 per person per day. Incredible waterfalls nearby and scenic mountain drives to take each day if you wish. Concerts at nearby venues; hike with a Llama; Zip-lining; Farmers markets and craft shows; Or just relax on the hammock in the yard. Down our mountain is the Sapphire National Golf Course, a gorgeous and challenging public mountain golf course.

SUMMER ACTIVITES - Whitewater Rafting on the Nantahala and other nearby rivers! Fabulous golf right on our mountain and others close by, tennis and pickleball; hiking, waterfall viewing and scenic drives that will keep the family busy for days on end. Nearby Fairfield Lake and Lake Glenville offer swimming, great boating, canoeing, and fishing. Explore Cashiers Sliding Rock to actually swim below the waterfall! In nearby Rosman the Headwaters Outfitters will get you on the French Broad River for exciting canoeing and kayaking. Fly fishing in nearby streams for rainbow trout is the most fun for an avid fisherperson, and guides are readily available. 2 BRAND NEW DOG PARKS 5 MINUTES AWAY AT THE COMMUNITY CENTER!

FALL COLORS! from early October to early November Mother Nature treats us to an amazing range of yellows, oranges, flame color and reds! Folks come from all around, close and far to "leaf peep", and oooh and ahhh at the spectacular colors!

RESTAURANTS AND SHOPPING! Enjoy gourmet restaurants that you might not expect to find in a small town, but we have a great chef right at the foot of our mountain and others 5 to 10 minutes from the house. The expansive notebook in the house has our special list of favorites! Ladies, the boutiques are incredible in Cashiers and Highlands and you will find resort wear you just cannot find elsewhere. This is small town USA but with uptown, upscale restaurants and boutique shopping. Activities such as concerts on the green, farmers markets, craft fairs.

WINTER FUN! Includes skiing, snowboarding, snow tubing and two fun ski slopes. The great family-oriented ski and snow tubing area, playground, indoor and outdoor pools, tennis and pickleball are 10 minutes away from the house.

AT THE HOUSE...
Enjoy karaoke set, lots of games and puzzles too. Easy-on gas fireplace in the main level living area with VERY comfortable seating to lounge on with your favorite book. Lower level guests will enjoy having a microwave and coffee station, and a walk out to the patio where the RING TOSS GAME will test everyone's skills! 3 TVs in the house, all with fiber optic quality pictures.


Our home in Sapphire Valley is a short 1 hour drive from the Asheville Airport, on good highways and roads; Atlanta area is about a 2 1/2 hours drive to this most scenic part of North Carolina!
