Great Stay

We enjoyed a nice quiet week in this property. It was a great location with the amenities that we were looking for nearby. It was an easy walk to the pool and just a short drive to the beach. I definitely recommend this property.

Great for families!

We enjoyed our stay at this property. The kitchen was well stocked with anything you need to cook. Rooms were very nice. A few areas seemed a bit worn but really it was a nice place to stay. Longer walk to the beach than we are used to but perfect if you have bikes. The pool area is nice and quiet.

Love this property!

This property was exactly as shown in the listing and fit our family perfectly! With 3 adults and 3 children, we all had space for quiet time when needed. Also, quick access to both the pool & beach were popular with all of us!

Family vacation

Plenty of space! Indoor and out. Lots of privacy being on the corner and beautiful scenery surrounding. Would be helpful to have clearer instructions on how to walk to the beach and it’s not a short walk having small kids. Overall very pleasant stay!

Enjoyed our stay

The property is spacious, updated and accommodated our group of six adults (2 parents, 2 kids and 2 "20 something" young adult friends) very well. There were a few housekeeping issues (stained sheet and dirty towel), but property manager handled promptly. Couch was also stained (but not a big deal). We all enjoyed our stay.

Very Nice property! Very pleased with the furniture in the home, overall space, & amenities provided. Having beach chairs, umbrellas, & toys for the kids on the property was a great surprise & icing on the cake for us. Home was clean on arrival & just as pictured. Very short drive or walk to "shipyard" beach access. I would Definitely stay here again with my family & recommend friends & family to stay here as well!

Spacious place, perfectly located

Shipyard was a secure complex and simply beautiful. When we got to our rental, it was clean and spacious for 4 adults and 2 kiddos. We did need to contact the property company to clean the outdoor spaces where a large tree was taken down, and they came right out and took care of it so we could enjoy all of the outdoor space. Quick and easy walk to the beach, we biked to coffee, shops and more. Looking forward to coming back!

Such a nice place! Great location and in sight of one of the pools. We had family staying in both Tennismaster and Port O Call, so we didn’t have to walk far. Beach access was a little confusing, but we ended up using the Port O Call gate with our family that was staying there. Small, but well stocked kitchen…plenty of cookware, dishes, and Tupperware. Updates are great! A few more may be needed down the road, but overall a great place!! We would love to come back!

Perfect Family Getaway

This was a great property for myself, husband, daughter, and my parents. We all had plenty of privacy in our rooms, but also lots of opportunity to spend time together. Only minor complaint is that the kitchen could have been better stocked (more dish towels, soap, incidentals like sugar and oil), but we like to cook a LOT and so that might not be a big deal for families that plan to visit more restaurants. We made it work and it wasn’t a big deal. Overall we had a great time and would definitely come back!

The dish soap provided is part of their small starter kit to get guests through their first day or two. Sugar, oil, salt, pepper, etc. is normally not left behind after a guest due to Covid. Spring break

Beautiful quiet neighborhood. Condo was nice and clean. Beds super comfortable. Internet was quick. Management was extremely responsive to our one request. Great back deck to relax. Pool area was nice but my kids preferred the pool on the next street since they had a hot tub. Not sure if that is “legal” but they were well behaved and no one seemed to care. Would definitely return to this location.

Hilton Head stay.

All was as listed in the site. We had a nice stay. Kitchen has everything! 6 adults and a 2yr old fit just fine in this property. Would be good to list that this property is in a gated community so our other family members staying close by could not enter because of the parking restrictions. We had chosen this place because of the proximity to other family members properties but we had to use theirs to gather because of the restriction for parking and entrance into the Shipyard.

Overpriced for location

Check in was late. Pool needs work as most of chairs are cracked or broken and would be nice if a young kid could stand in shallow end of pool. The screened in porch was awesome though. I think we are just used to Palmetto Dunes which is cleaner and more kid friendly.

Nice place but DO NOT STAY HERE IF..

Nice place with many updates although it is darker than pictures show. Main complaint is that the POOL CLOSES AT THE END OF SEPT and it was not disclosed on the description. The owner was somewhat accommodating but when you vacation to swim and golf, it is very disappointing.

Close to the beach

This condo was cute and on the end of the row which gave it more privacy. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and pans. And the beds were comfortable. The beach was a 5 minute bike ride or a 10 minute walk. The only thing I did not like was that the listing had 5 beds. When I got there, the condo only had 4 beds and we never got alerted to the change. This made it hard for me and my family. It was a great place to rent and I would do it again.

Slightly disappointed

The location of home was good, size was good for our group, 3 bathrooms worked great. The couch could be cleaned, updated. The description of bedrooms was not accurate as listed, there were only 2 twins and not 3, which is why we chose it. There were no sheets for the pull out couch which we had to use because there were only 2 twins. There was dirt, debris under pullout sofa. There were also several spiders, possibly because of wooded area.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location, walk to the beach. Lacked detail to cleaning. There was dirt under the table and no cleaner to clean stove or floors. Regular soap for that type of stove will not properly clean the stove. Soft scrub or ceramic cleaner should have been left. Guests must bring their own toilet paper and trash bags. 2 trash bags were left and guests must separate the recycles from regular trash in bags. Trash was piled up from the previous guests due to it not being in bags.

Not at all what we were hoping for.

When we arrived on Saturday the a/c wasn't working properly, we had hot water issues (hot water lines full of air), the ceiling fans upstairs didn't work properly and were falling apart, there were brown stains/spots all over the walls, staircase, and lampshades. We called the only contact number we were provided right away. Nobody returned our call until Monday. They did send someone out soon after to take care of the a/c and the hot water. I was able to get one of the ceiling fans working (blades about to fall off) upstairs at least above low speed so we could circulate the 76–82-degree temps upstairs throughout the first half of the week. The other upstairs bedroom fan would only hum loudly on low. The bathroom upstairs had broken tiles/grout right outside the bathtub (trip/pinch hazard). The grill is in horrible condition (caught on fire when I tried to cook on it). Cleaned it up so it was useable. The dishwasher is loose in the cabinet and is missing retaining clips for the shelves. Nobody had any desire to sit on the enclosed porch furniture (dirty). This place has been neglected and is in need of repairs. Needs a new dishwasher, ceiling fans upstairs, bathroom remodeling upstairs, living room furniture, outdoor furniture, BBQ grill, and a/c work for us to even remotely think about staying here again. This is not at all what I would consider a good place on vacation. I'm also not impressed with the level and method of communication from the owner about these problems.

Unfortunately, you left a message on our non emergency line after hours, which we do not receive until Monday mornings; this is why we also have an emergency line where we can be reached any time after hours. The hot water heater was brand new, installed a few days prior to your arrival, which explains the air bubbles in the water. However, the plumber we sent confirmed there were no issues with the hot water itself. We sent the HVAC company to look over any issues and approved the work they suggested to be done immediately. The living room sofa is only a year old, and the cushions had been cleaned and refoamed and placed back in the villa the day before your arrival. We offered to send our electrician to take a look at the ceiling fans and you declined service. Quite a few of these issues you never mentioned to us, and unfortunately, we cannot help if we don't know there is a problem. We will be sure to check everything over and address all issues as well as bring this to the owners attention. We appreciate your feedback and we do hope to see you again in the future. Unit in disrepair

The location is great. You can easily walk, drive, or ride a bike to the beach. Walk to the pool in under a minute. The pool is a good size with plenty of seating. Shipyard is a beautiful, private community. The condition of the condo was disappointing. There wasn't anything that made it unlivable, but it wasn't very clean and there were several things in disrepair. We found clumps of hair in corners, some hair on one of the beds, dishes with some food residue, and my 3-year-old found a lighter and a pretzel in the kids' room. The trash bin outside smelled awful and had maggots crawling on and in it. Most of the sliding door locks were broken. I had to tighten the screw on the master bathroom shower handle because it was about to fall off and wouldn’t adjust water temperature properly. There was a large hole in the ceiling of one of the upstairs bedroom closets and signs off water damage. Upon check-in inspection, I reported the hole in the ceiling and the broken sliding door latches/handles. The property management told me they noticed the broken latches/handles during inspection after the previous stay and hadn't been able to repair them yet. They said the hole in the ceiling was reported by the group who stayed in the unit before us and was due to the HVAC drain pan overflowing and the float switch failing to shut the unit off leading to the ceiling falling through. Thank you for your review. We have checked all sliding door locks for proper operation and they are all able to be locked. The upstairs closet ceiling has been repaired. We would have been more than happy to send housekeeping back to take care of any cleanliness issues/parts you were not satisfied with. I will report this to them and make sure they spend some extra time in all corners of the villa. We hope to see you again next year. Selena

It looks nice from the pictures, but lots of problems

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: To preface this review i want to say Sea Turtle was very helpful and very prompt to handle most issues. We arrived very late and walked into water all over the kitchen floor. The next day Dakota arrived and called a plumber. He had to replace the disposal and kitchen sink faucet. The coffee pot was broke, and there was no iron. Missing light in master bathroom, light over washer & dryer not working, light on screened in deck was out, including ants the last 3 days on deck which we called for and never came, 1/2 of closet door was broken off, and probably the worse thing, furniture in living area was so uncomfortable it was hard to sit there. and to top it off, no cable so we couldn't watch our favorite shows. It was so boring at night! I would not recommend this villalight over washer and dryer
