Elegant 2-BR Ocean View Apt. Pool, Jacuzzi, Just Walk to Beautiful Sandy Beach

2 Bedrooms - 2 Full Baths. Sleeps Up to Six (6) people
This meticulously cared for apartment is in a prime location. During the day, you can walk to the beach, the mini market, several cafes or go explore the surroundings by car. At night, you have wonderful restaurants within walking distance. The complex where the building is located includes a private swimming pool and jacuzzi. A beautiful & serene beach is only a 8-10 minutes walk. A second beach is only at a 7-minutes drive. We provide you with beach chairs, beach towels, and a cooler.

There is an assigned parking lot and an elevator. Utilities included are water, electricity, gas for stove and water heater, Cable-TV, Netflix, Wi-Fi Internet and a land line telephone for local calls. Guests who stay long term on a monthly rate will be responsible to pay for their own consumption of electricity. Food staples are not included. For your immediate convenience we make sure to leave a few hand soap bars on each bathroom, dish soap with sponge, laundry detergent, a few packs of local coffee, creamer, sugar, a gallon of drinking water, toilet paper, paper towels, napkins and some extra trash bags. If you need to buy more of these items, they are yours to keep.

The apartment is fully furnished, including flat-screen smart TV, Cable TV, Netflix, washing and drying machine, microwave oven, gas range with oven, coffee maker, blender, toaster, refrigerator, stereo, tv in the master bedroom, a safe, iron and ironing board. We also provide you with cookware, plates & eating and cooking utensils, glasses, cups and mugs. There are also plates and cups for young children. Each bedroom has it's own bath and it's supplied with blankets, towels, and a hair dryer.

There are sufficient beds (e.g. One queen-size, two twin-size and an electric air mattress). to sleep up to six (6) people comfortably.

Gated & Safe Community and one (1) off-street private parking included.

PLEASE NOTE THE THAT THE SEMI-PRIVATE BEACH, WHICH IS AT WALKING DISTANCE FROM THE APT., DOES NOT ALLOW BEACH CHAIRS AND UMBRELLAS.

Great vacation !

Very nice stay of two and a half months in this condo. A very beautiful view of the sea and wonderful sunset. Near the beach, convenience stores, restaurants. Very nice and well maintained swimming pool. The beach chairs were very appreciated. The owners are very easy to access to answer all our questions and requests. It's a beautiful place...to recommend.

I am very please to have rented this great apartment for a month!

Wonderful view, a beautiful kitchen fully packed, great atmosphere where you able to relax and spend some quiet time. Cable & Internet, and Safe Deposit Box Fully functional. Overall 100 percent satisfaction with this apartment. Best I ever had!!

Safe and Convenient

The property is great and as advertised. Owners are very responsive. The only issue which is temporary is the construction across the street as far as noise and dirt. May also need more privacy drapes once the apartments are occupied.. The plus is those apartments block alot of the late night music from the Liqour Store

This apartment is relatively close to the beach and in the hert of new Juan Dolio. There is construction nearby 7 days a week but the motorbike wake you up at 5 am anyway. Power outages frequent but reliable generator back-up. Jorge the owner is veryy attentive any problems quickly fixed,

Nightlife and Beach

Close to Hemingway beach access a 5 minute walk to the beach and close to downtown New Juan Dolio. Music is played late on Friday and Saturday night but other than that a quiet and secure location. Construction across the road during the day-well you should be out anyway. Excellent TV and Internet

Beautiful Property Hidden Flaws

The apartment is exactly as it shows in the pictures and Lilibeth the other Property Mgr was excellent, from the arrival to taking care all our needs. The apartment does not have an Ocean view, it should state, partial view of the ocean. My concern was the elevator broke down for 2 days (something about a part needed) and the large door to the main entrance was not working properly, the keys provided me were not the correct keys to open the small entrance to the property (security was no where to be found, my husband had to come down the stairs to open the door) I suggest an intercom or bell be installed.

Fantastic Holiday.

I spent six wonderful weeks on Playa Real. The condo is comfortable with a large balcony, in the evening there is always a beautiful breeze. The condo is very well equipped as described and the photos are exactly what you will find. The staff at the Colonia Tropical is always nice and helpful. It is a very safe and quiet place. If you do not want to rent a car, this is the place for you; all are within 5 to 10 minutes walking distance, beaches, grocery stores, restaurants and bank, everything you need to spend a beautiful vacation. I would like to thank for their professionalism, Mr. Diaz, Mrs. Barnichta and Mr. Sanchez (the taxi driver). I recommend this place to anyone who wants a quiet holiday. N.Sandonato

What a beautiful condo!

Excellent property - everything just like photos

An excellent place to stay. Exactly like to lovely photos. Owner provides a great folding with local information on restaurants etc. lots of options for restaurant delivery and takeout. There is a cute strip of restaurants a 5 minute walk away. Neighborhood is quiet and feels more secure than any "non gated" neighborhood I have ever been in in the D.R. Apartment wifi is great and most of the time sufficient for Skype etc. owner has Netflix and DVD collection. The property has 24 hr security that are polite and very helpful is asked. There is a small mini supermarket only a few step outside exit next to the pool, and a pharmacy. For larger grocery orders you need to take a taxi to the grocery store in San Pedro. All the drivers will know where to take you if asked. Out drivers happily waited for us to shop, and drove us back, which is better than looking for a San Pedro taxi when you walk out of the grocery with all your food. Taxi fares are very reasonable. For beaches, unless you want to pack your own good and drinks, it is best to take the owners advice and take a short taxi ride to Oasis Beach, where there are restaurants etc. the local beach next to the apartment is semi private and when we walked it and inquired, everyone told us there was no place to eat along the beach. All areas offering food or drink are private company nods or hotels etc. I cannot say enough good things about this property, I spend a lot of time traveling, and also a lot of weeks in the Dominican Republic too, this apartment is an excellent choice and is EXACTLY as promised.

Great place to stay!

The property is exactly as shown in the photos. It is very spacious, clean, and bright. The area is safe and quiet. Shops, bank, and beach all near by. Jorge, the manager, kept in touch and attended to our every need. I recommend this property to anyone who enjoys a quiet, safe place to stay. There are a lot of regulations, and rules to follow, and forms to sign upon arrival which seem daunting at the time but being careful, conscientious tenants there was no issue.

Vacation at Juan Dolio, Colonia Tropical Apt.

This vacation was very memorable and satisfying for me and my wife. We arrived in a very clean place and even though we were a little late Lilibeth, the manager wasn't too upset at us. Still humorous and friendly. The owner Jorge Diaz called us shortly after arrival and checked out if the apartment was to our satisfaction. And it was all of that if not more. The sliding windows give a very nice openness and great view witch we never got tired of. The Kitchen could have a few more pots, and bigger coffee pot please ha ha as we ate in a lot, but adequate, I must say. Bedrooms with each a shower was a nice touch when coming back from the beach very hot and needing to clean at the same time so to speak, ha ha. The beach just 10 minutes away if that. To top it off Marbella beach area is offered as an extra beach access. So that was very nice for using beach chairs. And for old backs that's great. Shopping needs are 5 minutes away very useful in a condo. And San Pedro is a 35 pesos (less than a buck) bus ride, 20 minutes or so and you can return loaded with groceries for 10 to 15 bucks by taxi, bargain as they expect it ah ha. For us eating in was a preference but restaurants were available, 5, to 15 minutes away offering choices to different tastes and budgets. La Meson was a favorite of ours 5 minutes away. Wonderfully relaxing stay

Beautiful apartment. So light and airy. All conveniences including a washer/dryer and beach towels and chairs. Owner and onsite representative very helpful and accommodating. 5mins ish walk to the beach which was beautiful and calm. Cove protected by a reef, so good for paddling and a quick dip - water shoes would be a good idea for tender feet ;). Nice quiet area but still options for meals out. Two supermarkets within walking distance for basics. Looking forward to another visit.

Comfortable and cozy stay

The apartment is as it appears in the photos, a beautiful view, apartment in excellent condition, really a comfortable stay, fully recommended, Jorge and Lilibeth, they are responsible and safe people, lasting approximately 9 days with my gf in this apartment and it was a amazing holiday, thoroughly recommended and satisfied, I definitely would return .... a charm :)

I chose this apartment over the cookie cutter long and narrow apartments on the larger buildings by the beach because I believe that the feeling you get while inside the property is as important as what you see outside. I also keep it completely stock with all the amenities to help you be comfortable and relaxed without making the atmosphere stuffy and crowded with adornments. This is the kind of place where you wouldn't mind staying in all day lounging. The views out the wrap around, wall to wall, sliding glass doors are as relaxing as the apartment itself. You see the ocean on one side, a birds eye view of the streets and everyday life, a small horse riding arena, and lush greenery as far as your eyes can see.

The apartment is located on a six floor building (only 12 units). The complex also includes a small commercial center with some apartments on the 2nd floor and a courtyard with tables, lounge chairs, and the pool, all surrounded by villas. Some neighbors are full time residents. The complex is gated and there is 24 hr. security on the premises. On the main street there are wonderful restaurants, some food marts, bars and access to the semi-private beach across the street. By car, there is easy access to even more restaurants, a pharmacy, a coffee shop, convenience stores, and the main highway. I have a team of local, friendly personnel who can assist with any issues regarding the apartment during your stay. For longer stays, cleaning services can be requested for an extra fee.
