Bel endroit

Un Courriel en français aurait facilité notre arrivée car nous avons bcp cherché le stationnement. Chambre petite mais trÚs fonctionnelle. Tout y est. 2 débarbouillettes/serviettes pour 2 personnes pour 2 jours. Prévoyez en apporter de plus.

Host got back to messages in a timely manner. Access to the building was very easy, and instructions on how to get to the property were very straightforward. The room was on the smaller side, but perfect for what we needed for a couple day stay.

Room was fine. Comfortable bed, good location to Banff. We had 2 bath towels for 4 days and they are worn out, very thin. We were sent codes to get into the parking, rental unit and front door. The only one that worked and only for one day was the parking. We were able to access the building through that but codes did not work for the room. Went outside to try and call the owner - a man putting up signs asked if he could assist us. Said he owned some of the units. He called verbo for us who said to call the owner. The phone number he gave me for help not connecting. No alternate phone number. The man outside said he would call the mans wife whom he knew. Nothing. Then he called another man he knew. Finally that man came and gave us his access code and we were able to get in. There are 2 access doors to enter the rental. This mans passcode worked for the front and rental doors! We were told the password for the garage worked now but it never did. We parked on the street for the next 2 days and the last day we got back later and there was nowhere to park on the street. We waited outside the parking garage for some time until someone came out. We entered parking as the door stays up for some time. It was a nightmare after travelling all day and not being able to access the rental, hoping for parking on the street and wondering if the codes would continue to work! Nightmare after travelling all day. Stressful to say the least!! Leaving a gift card dosen't make up for this!!

The property was very secure with multiple key codes needed to access the room. There was one major problem with the room. The toilet seat had a split in it and would pinch your leg when you used the toilet. It was reported to the owner right away but wasn't fixed during our 4-night stay. Our visit was to Banff and since the room was listed under the Banff location, we wrongly assumed Canmore was close to Banff and walking to downtown was to downtown Banff. Once again, I learned to never assume.

Had the bathroom been cleaner, we would have rated our stay higher. it's a small bathroom which is fine, but there were streaks down the bathroom walls especially down by the toilet, and the wall fan in the bathroom needs a good clean. There were other people's hairs on the shower walls when we arrived which was off- putting. On the positive side the bed was comfy as were the pillows. Heat was off but the suite was warm even with ceiling fan going. The building's air conditioning units were just outside our window so it was noisy to keep the window open to get fresh air and keep it cool. Perhaps with a deep bathroom clean we'd recommend this stay to others during cool seasons.

Getting into the building was a struggle as the front door number did not work once that was sorted it was fine. The bed was so so soft I removed the memory foam as I it gave me a very sore back the first time I stayed better after I removed it for the second stay. Also struggled to get out of the bath as there now rails and being over 70 things could haven been made easier. First week I had to boil the kettle on the floor as the cable was so short. Second week kettle looked as it had been changed and it sat on the table there was no tea towel so my niece gave me one.

Small and simple

It was a nice place to lay our heads, but I was expecting more for the price we paid. May just be inflated pricing due to proximity to National Park even though it was still 35 minute drive away. All the codes and extra doors was a lot to figure out and enter. The room was suited with some helpful tourist pamphlets, yet it would’ve been nice if they provided a few extra little amenities like a few breakfast snacks or oatmeal packets. I felt I couldn’t shower because I didn’t bring any soaps or shampoo. However, later we did find those options under the sink. Those could have been displayed in the shower in a nice discreet way. Also when we tried to log into Netflix it was in some unknown language that made it really hard to navigate and try to watch something. That was a little frustrating. Didn’t use the other condo amenities like hot tub or gym but it was cool to know it was there. I’m not sure that was in the ad write up.

The room was smaller than we had thought but it was adequate for our short stay. I would like check- in to be at least an hour earlier. Location was great.
