This cabin has everything you need and more! Endless things to do! Right in the middle of all the best skiing and snowboarding. Lots of room for the entire family. Enjoy a cup of coffee on the patio and listen to the river in the morning and enjoy the peacefulness!

Absolutely beautiful place to stay! Our family throughly enjoyed it! From fishing in the river, to the campfire roasting marshmallows to seating on the back porch enjoying the crisp mountain air.

This is the second time we’ve stayed at this great cabin and will absolutely be back. We love the amenities and the riverfront. It’s very easy to relax and unwind which is just what we needed.

Enjoyed Every Minute

Time with family is a priceless gift. We enjoyed every minute of our stay at Sweets River Nest. The weather was absolutely perfect. We enjoyed s'mores at the fire pit, and the fishing was amazing.Thanks to Lisa for being the perfect Host. We can't wait to return!

Absolutely Love Staying at Sweets River Nest

We absolutely love staying at Swèets River Nest.Lisa is the perfect host. We always leavewishing our stay could be longer. The cabin is well appointed & feels like home. The area is breathtaking, and our family enjoys fishing in the river & enjoying time in Boone, Blowing Rock & Banner Elk. Can't wait to return!

Awesome Mountain Getaway

Annual Ski Trip (2nd time at Sweets River Nest)

Amazing property. The three levels gives everyone their own space with plenty of room and the space to all gather to enjoy each other. The house has everything you need and extra touches to anticipate other needs. We will be back next year!

Beautiful River Home

This is a beautiful home in a beautiful location. We spent our vacation playing in the river and hiking. We really appreciated all the extra touches and the host responded immediately whenever we had a question. Overall, great home and great host. We'd love to come back.

Great Mountain Getaway!

Wow... what a beautiful home! It was incredibly clean, very well stocked, and Lisa was super communicative. We loved that a s'mores kit was left for us to use-- how thoughtful! We typically come to the mountains in the winter to see some snow, but would love to come back in the summer and go tubing in the river. Thanks for a great stay!

Annual Ski trip with the "kids"

This house checked all the boxes! The kitchen was fully equipped, sleeping options were comfortable, the grill deck was very nice, and the hot tub and pool table kept everyone busy before and after the slopes. The river and fire pit were also nice bonuses. This home is beautiful with plenty of great amenities and room for 12.

Beautiful mountain home on a river

House was spotless and brand new and well appointed. Great for a party as small as two or as Large as a family reunion. All bedrooms are very large and the house was well laid out so that everyone has ample space and privacy. The house was divided such that families could stay on each floor or the kids could be put downstairs and the adults upstairs and everybody could have their time space and privacy. Real bonus to have the master bedroom suite on the first floor. Another positive feature was barbecue area both on the upper deck and on the ground level. Fire. pit down by the river was a bonus as well. hard to find any negatives but one thing worth mentioning is lighting on the main floor, though full of gorgeous fixtures, was very dim and sometimes made it difficult to cook or read. The living room with the fireplace was extremely cozy and nice

Perfect vacation spot for our family!

We had a great time at Sweetsrivernest! This was a great home base for hiking 🥾 waterfalls, or visiting Boone, Blowing Rock or Valle Crucis. This home had all the things. Plenty of kitchen items, river items, and a sweet s’more gift upon arrival. We sat chairs in the river and enjoyed time in the sun, tubed around the areas of deeper water, and had some great family time around the fire. Lisa was very responsive to questions and left great local suggestions as well. The nearby Crab Orchard Falls has been a favorite for years and always try to find a place to stay nearby. We will definitely rebook.

Summer Oasis!

Of all the years of traveling to the mountains, this was the VERY BEST mountain vacation ever. Perfect home with your every need provided. Great location on the Watauga River minutes to Valle Crucis Community Park with fun Friday night free concerts (summer months), Mast General Store, Mast Farm Inn Tavern & Barnyard Tavern. So much to do or just relax on the back porch and watch the glistening river and occasional deer meander by. There’s not enough we can say about how perfect our stay and host Lisa was. We loved it and hope to visit again. Thank you Lisa!

Family Snow Trip

Amazing family snow trip getaway. This was the first time for my friends and family to see snow and ski. The location was amazing, literally 10-15 min drive from everything needed to accommodate our stay. The kids had a ball! We loved the fact it started snowing soon as we was leaving. The kids didn’t want to leave the cabin at all. But we was on a mission to see what sugar mountain had in store for us. Thank you so much for the amazing stay.

Quaint and cozy

Home was awesome, super clean, next to a brook. The small details were thoughtful -kitchen was fully stocked for cooking and entertaining. We stay in cabins all the time and this one was one of our best stays.

Sweet River Nest

Was wonderful, family enjoyed. The one problem we had was disposal of our trash. We left on Labor Day and the convenience site was closed which was on a Monday and they were closed on the Sunday before. There were 12 of us and we did a lot of cooking as well. Otherwise we will return and recommend, it was perfect for our family.

Best house and location EVER!

I cannot say enough good things about this property. The house is spectacular and has everything we could have ever needed. The kitchen is fully equipped to cook every meal. The location is what really was the best for us. We LOVE Valle Crucis and being right on the river and close to the park was amazing. We would book this house again!
