Quiet dog friendly home overlooking nature preserve, 1 block from private beach.

We have refreshed the whole house for our guests. We hope you enjoy the changes such as a fully fenced yard for the pups, new doors and windows, new bug screens on deck, and an upgraded air conditioning system to keep the family cool. Our quiet, NON-smoking, single family home has 4 bedrooms, 2 full bath and sleeps 8 people max. Well behaved dogs are welcome; 2 dog limit. The home overlooks the beautiful nature preserve with large variety of birds and other wildlife. The home is just one block from prime hook private beach. Watch wonderful sunsets and walk on the beach at sunrise. Fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, grill, outside shower, and many inside and outside family activities. We just added Hepa filters.

Families will need to bring EXTRA blankets if desired, beach towels and bath towels. Code to the lock box is sent 3 days prior to arrival. There is no smoking anywhere on this property.

An additional fee will be charged if guests smoke in the house or on the property.

The house was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Our host responded promptly whenever we messaged with questions. We especially appreciated the screened-in porch and easy access to the beach. The sunset views from the deck were spectacular! Our dog loved playing in the fenced-in yard.

Great Stay!

Our stay at Lunas Landing was great! House was clean, beautiful and comfortable. We had everything we needed. The location to the beach was excellent. The neighborhood was peaceful and quiet and the wildlife preserve views were outstanding! We would definitely stay again!

Great location

The host, Kelly, was very responsive. The house was great. Super comfortable and enough room for the 7 of us to hang out. There was so much in the house, it was amazing! Very dog friendly. I loved the quiet community and the private beach. I would definitely go back again.

We had an amazing time at Primehook Beach. I never heard of this beach before. Loved everything about the house and how close it was to the private beach. We had a ton of fun here. Clean, lots of kitchen items and space for everyone to hang out. Loved the big table that we were all able to sit and eat dinner together. Very friendly community. I would rent here again.

Quite time at Prime Hook

Primehook Beach

We had a wonderful family week at Primehook Beach (5 adults, 3 kids, 1 dog). Great beach a block away and beautiful sunsets over the nature preserve. The house was well supplied and fit our needs. The screened porch was a great place to sit in the mornings and evenings and the fenced in yard great for my son's dog. A peaceful and relaxing place to spend a vacation!

Relaxing getaway

The house is located in a very quiet, peaceful area only a few minutes walk to a private beach. The accommodations were perfect for what we needed. Plenty of space/seating for everyone to relax and hang out. I loved sitting on the screened in porch to read, listen to the birds and see the beautiful sunsets.

Perfect getaway

This house was perfect. It was well stocked for all our needs, I especially appreciate paper products and tissues, usually overlooked in many houses. The location could not be more perfect , lovely marsh views , quiet , and a very short walk to a private beach. Great that our dogs were welcome too, with water bowl ready ! Our family loved this stay , we all want to come back.

Luna’s Landing was a great place to stay!

Our stay at Luna’s Landing is just what we needed for our annual get away! While this wasn’t our first stay on Prime Hook, it was our first stay on the wildlife refuge side. Absolutely great for bird watching and a very short walk to the beach. The house was clean and had every amenity you could need during a week stay. We loved having the fenced in yard for the dogs and the screened in porch for relaxing after a day at the beach. We hope to be back in future years!

Perfect for a family with dogs!

We absolutely loved our week at this lovely home. As promised, there was a beautiful view of the refuge, and the beach was only a block away. The house was so well stocked and so comfortable. As a bonus, there was some available beach gear and a wagon to carry it in. We had wonderful walks and relaxing evening on the beautiful screened in porch. My dogs LOVED the yard Thank you to the host for your quick responses to my few questions. We truly had a wonderful time and hope to return someday!

Great vacation home

We were a party of 10, four children and six adults. The beach was great for the young children, since it was not crowded and with it being on the bay, the waves were small. The house was clean and recently painted/ redecorated. The kitchen had all the necessary equipment, which even included a crockpot. The screened porch was great for evening relaxation. Overall, a very enjoyable stay.

Peaceful and Private

The group (4 retired women and there fur babies) enjoyed our stay at Luna’s. It was just as described in the listing. Well stocked, comfortable and the fenced yard was an added bonus. Loved the peaceful mornings enjoying coffee and watching the sunrises on the screened porch. Only to be outdone by the sunsets over the reserve. We would very much consider a return visit.

Very dog-friendly. People-friendly, too!

We had a lovely week with two of our dogs, an intergenerational gathering with 3 age groups represented and rave reviews from all. The neighborhood is quite friendly, the beach super accessible and sparsely populated. The house had EVERYTHING we needed - the kitchen was particularly well equipped. We loved the outdoor shower and the screened porch. Our 2 pooches reveled in the fenced yard, had flooring that made us not worry at all about muddy pawprints, and the dog dishes were the added touch that made us all swoon in delight.

Absolutely love Lunas Landing!

My family and I stayed at this property for two weeks. The house is comfortable, well equipped, perfect location, and has absolutely amazing unobstructed views of the wildlife preserve and sunsets. Few things that make Lunas Landing extra special: - The separate room with bunk beds on the first floor is excellent when you have teenagers: there's a TV to hook up a gaming console, several bean bags, and a door! - We have two dogs, so the fenced in yard was very convenient, especially in the early mornings. - The screened in porch is wonderful, whether to have a meal, or to just sit and read a book while listening to the rain, or to enjoy a beer and some crabs! I hope we'll get a chance to stay here again in the coming years.

We hope you enjoy our home as much as we do. The home is uniquely situated to enjoy all the views. Walk the private beach in the morning for amazing sunrises, and watch the beautiful sunsets at night overlooking the preserve right from the home. The home can comfortably sleep 8. While it is ideal to enjoy nature in a peaceful setting, it is still close enough to tons of activities along the coast including water sports, wine and beer tasting, and any kind of shopping your looking for. We are also close enough to NY, NJ, and the DMV area that you can drive here after work and not waste the whole day traveling. The home is about 2.5 hrs from the DMV area. The home is also well equipped so all you need to bring is bath towels, beach towels and food (although the local restaurants are great). We also have a full size washer and dryer if needed after a day at the beach. Feel free to bring your pups along for the fun. Dog bowls are provided.
