Great House

This is by far the best house we have rented on BHI. The location is fantastic, loved being on the marsh. The bedrooms are huge and the house has all the amenities we needed. The host was very communicative and we will definitely be looking to book this place again.

Another great week at Always Sunny.

This property was a great find for our family for Labor Day. The house was ready and cleaned for our arrival. The views of the marsh were breathtaking! The grill, golf carts, beach chairs etc were a great perk of the property. Communication from Heidi was awesome and helped answer a lot of our questions prior to arrival. Would definately repeat!

Best location on the creek!!

We have stayed all over the island but Keeper’s Landing is our favorite! We’ve stayed in multiple houses in that area, but this one by far has the best view and access to the dock!! The owners were so helpful and extremely responsive! We had a flat tire on one of the two golf carts and they were so fast to get us lined up with help!! Everything about this house was so wonderful and we will definitely stay there again!! Thank you for an incredible trip!

Thanksgiving Memories

This property was perfect for our family. Lots of places to explore and time to enjoy the many porches and dock. Spacious rooms and abundant tvs let us enjoy Christmas family movies, football and soccer matches and shows for the kids during rainy times. Keepers Landing is a quiet and friendly neighborhood! Great house in great location!

We loved staying in this house--the photos do not do it justice. It was big and there was plenty of space for all 9 of us. It had an amazing view and we loved the dock where we could walk out into the marsh. The porch off the main living area was wonderful with a great fan to keep it cool, and we ate all our meals on it. The house was also very well stocked with bikes, beach chairs, a paddle board, and kayak--we really appreciated that. Heide texted us when we arrived and was easy to contact if we needed her. We just loved this house and highly recommend!

Amazing house with everything needed for a perfect vacation!

This house was perfect for a much-needed, long-awaited vacation to BHI! We loved the open layout so we could all be together for cooking, happy hour, eating, games, all while looking out over the marsh. The entire house is well-stocked with every amenity you could want - loved the gear for the beach & “dock activities,” bikes, well-running golf carts. The bedrooms are large with comfortable beds and private porches - great napping spots! Heide was so responsive and helpful with every detail! No one ever said I wish the house had. . . because it really was perfect and we were so sorry to leave!

Practically Perfect

We had been wanting to stay in one of the waterfront Keepers Landing homes for a few years and I am so glad we did. The house was clean, beautifully decorated, comfortable, supplied with everything we needed and obviously perfectly located! Plenty of room for everyone, comfortable beds, nice big refrigerator, good appliances, Nest thermostat big dining table….all details that make for a lovely vacation. The sunsets on the marsh are unparalleled and we spent every evening on the dock. The beach is a 5 minute cart ride away. We had a few golf cart problems but Heide was super helpful and only a text away. I can’t say enough good things about this house in my favorite place.

Wonderful location!

We’ve been coming to BHI for years and always love our visits. This was our first time staying at this end of the island and on the marsh. I enjoyed both aspects. The views from the balcony and porch were fabulous and added a peacefulness. The standup paddle board was awesome! The kids (11, 14, 16) each loved it and I enjoyed taking my chair out to the end of the dock and enjoying happy hour while they enjoyed paddling. We spent most of our time at east beach and shoals club so the location worked well. The bikes and chairs were in good condition and we appreciated not having to take our own. The sofa was also comfortable for a family of 6 to enjoy a movie night. The homeowner was quickly accessible when we had questions.

Wonderful Marsh Front Home!!

We have visited Bald Head for the past 15 years. We always search for a Marsh-front property, and this one was just fantastic! It was perfect for the two families on this trip (two king masters with sitting/desk space gave both parents some privacy, and two other rooms slept our kiddos, all with en suite bathrooms). Keepers Landing is a charming little neighborhood, well kept, quiet, super close to the Point (where East and South Beach meet) and Shoals club, and convenient to the Conservancy and Market Shops. The house is modern, well maintained, well equipped, and the owner was super-responsive and helpful if anything came up. The best feature, in our opinion, was the private community dock. You could see all the way to the end from the outside porch, kitchen, and main living area. This was awesome for our bigger kids - they could have a bit of freedom to explore, castnet, and catch crabs, while we watched from a distance. The views of the Marsh are wonderful, birds are everywhere and we even saw a few Painted Buntings in the trees off the back porch! We look forward to renting 30 Keepers Landing again!

30 Keepers Landing

We really enjoyed the location of 30 Keepers Landing and the community dock was a big plus. However, there were several maintenance issues which detracted from our stay. The upstairs master shower did not drain and the pocket door to the bathroom was broken and would not close. There were also several broken/burnt out lights throughout the house and the porches had not been cleaned and so there was a significant amount of leaves and plant material and spiders on the porches. In addition to this the fan on the back porch was not functioning. The owner was very responsive in getting someone out to fix the master shower the following day and this was greatly appreciated. However the home overall would benefit from some general maintenance to help with these issues.

Perfect Week on the Marsh

We loved our stay in your beautiful home. This was our 10th summer vacationing on Bald Head Island and we could not love this island more. We have always loved the marsh area but your home just outdid all of our expectations for the week. We loved waking up to the view of the marsh and being able to walk out on the dock early morning. The house had everything we needed in terms of space and appointments - in the kitchen, towels, bikes, beach chairs, puzzles, games, etc. Each of our three children had their own room and we enjoyed dinner together on the porch and spending time together in this wonderful place. The best view at BHI!

What a fantastic place. It isn't like the typical beach rental - it's like staying at a friend's solidly built, well maintained and well decorated home (no creaking when the wind blows, in other words!) The view from the upper deck is magnificent, and the ceiling fan made a hot day bearable. We had no problems with mosquitos, which I'd worried about (I think the island spiders handle that). The boardwalk and piers are lovely and quiet, with just a few other guests on them to crab or put in a kayak/paddleboard. Sunset on the pier is really magnificent, with the tides changing and the view across the march all the way to Old Baldy. The master suite on the upper floor is enormous and felt like such a luxurious vacation. The other rooms are plenty big and each has its own bathroom. Good washer/dryer. Electric stove instead of gas, which I don't love, but it was new and the oven worked well. Huge fridge, great for big families. Came with kayak and paddleboard and at least 3 adult bikes and might have had one or two kid ones (we didn't have little ones). Couple of boogie boards, many good beach chairs. Heide was very responsive to questions and we will absolutely come back. Thanks!

It's always sunny

We had a fantastic stay! The house is nicely appointed with everything you need, bikes, kayak, and stand up paddle board. There was plenty of space for our two families, with four adults and 6 kids ranging in age from 3 to 15. The kids loved fishing and crabbing off the dock and we enjoyed paddling in the salt marsh. It was an easy bike ride to East Beach and Shoal's Club, too. We had a few minor hiccups with the house, but Heide was very responsive and took care of things immediately. We highly recommend this home. I just wish we could have stayed longer!

A little slice of heaven!

This house and owner were both wonderful. The pictures don't do the location and home justice. The hoise is quite large, very nicely decorated and has great views out on to the marsh. Our youngest spent hours on the dock, and the short trip to the beach worked great for our family. The owner was great to work with as well, very attentive and gracious. Overall a really great stay. The only reason this is five stars is because we can't give it 6!

Our family of 7 has been coming to Bald Head Island since 2005 and owned a home in the Maritime Forest at Cape Fear Station since 2008. The spectacular creek views lured us to Keepers Landing along with a love of fishing and paddle boarding, so we purchased this popular rental property in 2020 and are excited to share our little piece of heaven with you and your family.
