Coastal Zen Den

Enjoy morning coffee or afternoon refreshments from your patio overlooking the lush backyard, and pool (May - Sept.). Located an easy four block walk from the Encinal Beach and the Ballena Bay Marina, with paddleboards, kayaks, sailboats, for rent. Take a walk along the Alameda Point Shoreline path to the USS Hornet Museum. Nearby Alameda Beach offers a long open beach area with windsurfing and kiteboarding.

We are pleased to share the guest suite of our single-family home. The guest suite has direct ground level entry from the driveway. It is quaintly furnished with a mid-century coastal vibe, wood floors, two bedrooms, one bathroom, a laundry center, well equipped kitchen, and a cozy den with 55” TV.

With the backyard and pool (Shared with Host), it makes it a unique experience, like a semi-private mini-resort. Pool Season May - Sept., weather depending. See House Rules for Pool Use.

NO SMOKING, NO CANNABIS, NO PARTIES, NO RECREATIONAL DRUG USE, NO PETS. QUIET HOURS 10:00 PM TO 6:00 AM. The foregoing prohibitions include the apartment and entire exterior of the property.

Four people maximum occupancy.

We live in adjoining home, and to maintain peaceful surroundings QUIET HOURS ARE FROM 10:00 PM TO 6:00 AM. If that is not observed, it is possible that noise transmits between the homes.

Good located and clean

Clean, comfortable, convenient!

Loved our stay. The apartment is spotless! Bedrooms are extremely cozy; comfortable beds, soft sheets, plenty of pillows, blackout curtains, and even white noise machines available! Will definitely recommend to others, and reserve again in the future if we return to Alameda. (Also a wonderful place to visit, highly recommend!)

Beautiful location, clean and convenient! Average soundproofing but the host are so nice that it's not a problem. beautiful house, ideal for children. corresponds to the ad. if I go back to San Francisco I will come back here!

Quiet, clran and comfortable

Felt safe in the neighborhood. Very clean and cozy. Had a 2nd bedroom for 2 more people if needed. Nice touch of having Pete's Coffee ground and ready to use. 2 blocks from the bay.

Very comfortable stay in Alameda

This is a very clean and comfortable two bedroom, three bed place near Webster. Robert was so prompt in replying to any questions and had clearly thought of little things that just make life easier when on the road. Loved the beds. One of my sons preferred to sleep on the couch in the TV room as he wanted his own space. It was not as quiet as the bedrooms (he could hear the dogs upstairs.) But my other son and I slept peacefully.

Good stay

The accommodation was as advertised, the host very welcoming and available. The beds incredibly comfortable, the accommodation was very equipped !! The only downside is that we did not necessarily feel comfortable enjoying the pool with the people and workers coming, but it was for a good cause.

Lovely stay at the Zen Den

My family, including an 11 and 13 year old, had a great stay at the property. We all felt very “Zen” immediately once entering. It was a great location, comfortable beds and had everything we needed. Love the decor and really comfortable vibe of the place. Would definitely come again! Thanks.

Nice area and clean place!

This property was very clean and they provided enough supplies like toiletries, laundry/dish soap, etc. All the new items were very nice. The extra bonus of having sound machines was great since I sleep with one. Although it didn't block out some of the upstairs walking of residents and dogs. A suggestion is to be mindful of the early hours to walk more quietly. Also just double check coffee filter (old one in there from last guest) and the expiration of condiments. Overall very nice area and stay, we always had parking right outside of the house. Thank you

Stay at Alameda Zen unit

We enjoyed our stay at the property. The unit is on the lower level and beautifully landscaped. Great neighborhood to take walks and enjoy Alameda life. My suggestions for the owners would be to supply a Mr. Coffee instead of a French Press as many people do not use a French Press. Also, walk softly as many people are not early risers. Otherwise, very nice stay.
