Maison moderne et lumineuse donnant sur un ruisseau bouillonnant entouré d'arbres et de montagnes. Grande chambre voûtée avec puits de lumière et chambre en mezzanine. Détendez-vous sur le pont dans le hamac pendant que le son apaisant de l'eau vous berce dans un bonheur méditatif ... quand il fait froid, vous pouvez vous asseoir à l'intérieur près du poêle à bois.

Situé dans la vallée isolée de Woodland, à quelques minutes du centre-ville de Phénicie avec des magasins, des galeries, des restaurants locaux et des randonnées à proximité, de la pêche et des tubes. À quelques minutes de Hunter Mountain et Bellayre.

Ceci est une maison d'hôtes séparée qui se trouve à côté de notre maison principale. Nous sommes heureux de vous dire bonjour si nous sommes en place, mais vous garantirons votre intimité. La maison est neuve et économe en énergie. * Maintenant avec CLIMATISATION. Tout est neuf et propre avec une sensation naturelle et moderne. Il dispose d'une cuisine en acier inoxydable bien équipée, d'une salle de bains spacieuse, d'une connexion Internet sans fil, d'une télévision à écran plat, d'un câble numérique, d'un DVD, d'un poêle à bois, d'un grill et d'un mobilier d'extérieur, y compris un hamac. Pure Heaven…

* S'il vous plaît noter - cette maison est sur une route de montagne privée isolée - 4 roues motrices est préférable pour l'hiver glacial.

The cabin was stunning and very cozy. Every detail was perfect, from the welcome treats to the wood stove being set up for us. The bedding was warm and comfy, and the kitchen was well-stocked. We really enjoyed the Phoenicia area (great restaurants!) and want to come back in the summer to explore more!

Perfect getaway with the family

We had a wonderful stay. Our hosts were very warm and welcoming and the location was great. It was located close to the ski mountain and town and tucked away next to a stream so the kids and dog could do some exploring. The place was comfy and warm and we enjoyed the wood burning stove. Lots to do and a nice place to relax.

Cozy lil weekend in the Catskills

We loved our stay at Serene Retreat! You can definitely tell where they get the name from… from the sounds of the stream behind the house to the wood burning fireplace this home makes you want to cozy up with a good book and a blanket.

Amazing Weekend Hideaway!

A peaceful respite by a stream

It’s a beautiful house with everything you need to cook, grill, and hang by the fire pit. We enjoyed sitting on the porch listening to the stream with our morning coffee. As described, it’s a serene retreat. We’ll be back!

A beautiful and relaxing getaway

This home provided a beautiful and peaceful haven for the perfect long weekend getaway. Everything you need to get to is a quick five minute drive. The bubbling creek in the backyard adds a blissful, natural ambience. Make sure to pick up some kindling and newspapers at a market on your way up!

Cozy, warm and picturesque getaway spot, 2 hours from NYC

Beautiful home that was well appointed, tastefully decorated and fits a family of 5 perfectly. A short drive from NYC that provides a great respite from the busyness of city life. We loved our time at the house, enjoyed the town and shops, and the food was surprisingly amazing — especially from Sweet Susie’s! Alison, the host was very responsive and friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our time away at their place. Looking forward to coming back again!

Beautiful property in stunning surroundings

The House was gorgeous and beautifully located. Easy access to Phoenicia (although a car is very much recommended though not 100%necessary). Everything was laid out and the instructions from the host we’re excellent and extremely helpful. Would highly recommend this property for a short break from the city or a longer journey back to nature.

Your home away from home in the Catskills

The property is located on a private road which makes the place secluded and quiet. The rustic style of the house is a perfect compliment to the beauty of the nature. The house itself is very well equipped with everything you need and use on a daily basis at your own place. Alison and Peter are very accommodating, welcoming, informative and communicative! They are genuinely very nice and kind people who do everything they can to make your stay enjoyable! We did not get the chance to admire the beauty of the stream as it was under restoration during the time of our stay but the hosts were great enough to make the stay special and memorable! Highly recommended!

Perfect getaway during Christmas

My friends and I booked Alison’s place for our Christmas celebration. This little home matches all my check boxes for a dreamed cabin in the woods. Would definitely recommend it any body. Alison is also very helping and responses quickly.

lovely, restorative place to stay

This is a comfortable cabin in a lovely, woodsy setting by a stream. It was a pleasure to arrive and find fresh flowers on the table as well as art work and pottery by local artists in every room. Our host Alison was welcoming and gracious and shared some of her homegrown peaches with us!

Like everyone who comes to the Catskill Mountains, we have fallen under it's spell. We consider ourselves the stewards of this land and work to maintain this special property and landscape. We are 2 Art + Design professionals who enjoy connecting to nature and helping to provide people with exceptional experiences.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

The property has a history of being built by artists, Buddhist monks, and organic gardeners in the early 70s, the main house is in the style of the Woodstock Handmade Houses and the guest cottage is a modern open beam cabin. The buildings are all set within the curve of a mountain stream. It's wonderful to see how this space has become a place of recharge from the city, a warm gathering spot for friends, occasionally marriage proposals, a honeymoon getaway, and a place of healing and retreat for the people who pass through.

Wherever you go on the property, the sound of the bubbling stream is like a balm on your nerves. The deck that surrounds the cabin on 3 sides gives you a sweeping view down the mountain and along the edge of the forest, where you may see many of our wild neighbors such as Deer, Turkey, Fox, Bald Eagles, Heron, Owls and occasionally a bear (they tend to run away when they see people).
