Our stay in the cabin was comfortable and convenient. Beautiful setting in the Catskills mountains. Also loved using the hot tub right outside the back door. Mirav was very available, but also allowed us all the privacy. Great stay.

A lovely wooded country setting, so quiet and peaceful! We absolutely loved the patio, especially sitting in the hot tub, listening to the birds and crickets singing, watching deer meander past, sipping on a glass of wine. The place is so adorable, comfortable, clean and tidy. Tile work in the kitchen area and bathroom inspiring. Such a sense of privacy yet only a few minutes drive to Woodstock for dining and other delights.

Tranquil Nirvana. This was exactly as pictured and better than we expected! Mirav is a fantastic host, very informative and attentive to our needs. The yard was nature at it's finest. We watched wildlife stroll by while relaxing in the hot tub. The property is located in the middle of the wilderness but minutes from multiple towns and everything we needed. We loved every minute of our stay and hope to return!

Cozy stay in Woodstock

We had a great stay. Check in was easy and the cabin looked just like the pictures. The space was perfect for two people - the set up is a great use of the space. We appreciated the binder that had clear directions from our host about things in the house as well as recommendations for things to do in the area. The day we arrived it was over 90 degrees F. Before we got there, we wondered how well air conditioned the cabin would be, but the wall air unit cooled the space well. One minor thing to note is that while the cabin did feel private, the main house on the property is very close by. As others have mentioned, all the windows of the cabin/barn face toward the wooded area and you do feel very secluded. We never saw or heard anyone coming or going from the main house while we were there. I only bring this up for those who are looking for complete privacy and isolation. Overall, we really loved our stay. The property is beautiful and lovingly maintained. And the location allows you to feel like you are in the woods, yet only a short drive to groceries, places to eat, and some cool hikes.

The owner's directions were easy to follow and we appreciated the thoughtful notes and explanations inside the property. We had hoped for a place that was quiet, peaceful and very private. We weren't disappointed. We found comfortable relaxing seating, both inside and out. On two evenings we saw magical sightings of deer passing by. We used the two, queen beds, both very comfortable, finding one in the living room, the other in the loft. Everything seemed clean and there was no smell. Our visit took place during a freak heat wave. The Barn has a strong a/c that even kept the loft cool, after we learned to adjust the direction of the air flow. The refrigerator, microwave, small oven and electric kettle were all clean and working perfectly. In the kitchen and bathroom the hot water was hot. The property is an easy drive to Woodstock, to the Ashokan Rail Trail and to the areas around Hunter, Tannersville and Haynes Falls. It would be a great base for taking on the more challenging hikes in the hills; but alas, we (in our late 80s now) can only dream of that. With steps and (likely) ticks in the woods, this venue might not suit a family with young children, nor people with impaired mobility. For adults, I'd recommend it highly.

The property was well kept but had a few steps inside you had to be aware of and a staircase as well. I thought there was a stove but the grill was fine. We had a nice time.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at the "Barn by A Stream with Hot Tub". The grounds were beautiful and the private area immediately behind the barn was a joy to experience with regular visits by deer.

A wonderful escape from NYC

The cottage is cozy, well decorated and very private. The hot tub is a great way to end a day of hiking and the stream provides a soothing background to the stillness of the forest.Mirav was available if we needed anything.We’ll definitely come back!

Quick escape from the city.

Lovely converted barn complete with a breathtaking view of the woods and a small creek that runs through the property. Everything was perfect for a romantic getaway from the city.

Perfect Weekend

My spouse and I came up for the weekend for a long overdue honeymoon. The place was perfect. Though it rained a lot we did not let the weather get us down, and the barn was a cozy place to curl up and listen to the rain and the brook. We loved exploring nearby towns and hiking in the moody weather. We would definitely come back, we are already talking about wanting to see the Moonshadow in the snow!

Relaxing Stay

Stayed here for a mother/daughter trip and we had a wonderful time. The cabin is cozy and clean. Still, most the windows face the back of the property so it felt very private. We really enjoyed the hot tub, the relaxing sound of the creek and seeing deer roaming the woods in the back.
