The Westside Getaway is a charming 3 bed, 2 bath cottage in the city of Grand Marais. It is fully renovated. Located conveniently on Highway 61, only 1 mile from downtown, halfway between the Harbor Light and Putt and Pets mini golf! Comfortable and cozy with an electric fireplace. We offer a fully stocked kitchen. Cleanliness is very important to us! Great parking for multiple vehicles, as well as trailers.

Our family has stayed here before and we love it! 5 stars because they deserve it. The property is very nice and convenient to downtown GM. Dog friendly property too! We did bring our own, portable grill as we wanted to enjoy the weather and a home cooked meal. We will definitely be staying here again!

Beautiful Home

We loved our stay at this beautiful home in Grand Marais! It fit our family of 4 with 2 children under the age of 4 perfectly and had everything we needed. The owners were so pleasant and were very responsive to our needs during our stay as well. You can’t beat having a full home while being away from home vs a traditional hotel. Our favorite part of the home was having a back yard and fire pit which we really enjoyed. Thank you Matt and Nancy!

House

This was a perfect place for a Grandpa & Grandma, and our daughter, son in law and our 2 grandchildren and 2 dogs! Plenty of room and we loved having 2 bathrooms andwasher and dryer. It was quite cozy warm, too warm for us (;.Easy in and out with boat trailor. We hope to stay there next year again

Great place in Grand Marais

Perfect place to stay near Grand Marais. Plenty of room, modern, and a nice backyard. The open kitchen, living room & dining area work great for relaxing. Two full bathrooms are a nice touch. Loved our visit!!

Long weekend in low calm season

Because of the low season, we could visit and do some hikes with not many tourists. The house was a suitable base. Although the house is next to the highway, the traffic is not at all intense. The house is super clean, warm and with the necessary cooking tools. It even had some board games to end up the evenings with some laughs. Fully recommended.

Ski get away

Property was very clean. Plenty of room for the four of us. Only negative is the location is right on highway 61, so moderate traffic right out the front door. There were sound machines in each bedroom however, so that helps. The location is just on the fringe of Grand Marais.

Getaway

Clean and cozy home, and able to maneuver around in wheel chair easy enough. Looking for place to be home base as you tour around the area, this is the place.

Great location, great cottage, would stay again!

We stayed at Getaway for three nights. We had two large golden doodles and our daughter with us. It was a perfect location for Grand Marais. There wasn’t one thing they forgot that helped us feel at home. It is decorated very nice, and it is clean. The front of the house has very tall ceilings that makes it feel even more spacious. It was the perfect place to rest after a long day of hikes in the North Shore. The house sits right on highway 61 with one bedroom in the front, but they have a noice machine in every bed room to help you drawn out the road noice. We were so tired we didn’t need them. I would highly recommend Getaway!

Roomy and comfortable

Plenty of room, comfy beds, clean and stocked with everything our group needed. Depending on your group, you could walk into town from here, or just to Up Yonder for a night cap. It is positioned near the main road, but we weren't bothered by road noise. Would definitely stay here again!

Great place to stay in Grand Marais

Up North

We have relatives in the Lutsen/Grand Marais area. It's always fun Up North...visiting family, shopping, hiking, 4 wheeling. This cottage we stayed at was a good location. We had 2 dogs with us and each morning we took a nice walk down to Grand Marais. The dogs loved it! The walkway is nice to use...right on HWY 61. So much to do...not ever enough time!

Photography excursion

2nd time here in two years for our annual North Shore winter photo trip. Great place, fits our needs for cooking in, lots of kitchen equipment, utensils, and gadgets for prepping. Hosts are wonderful. When coming to this area we’ll definitely look to stay here again.

25th Anniversary

We had a great time, the cottage was exceptionally clean, more than well appointed, everything we could possible need was there as well as lots of extras. The bottle of wine, and puppy blankets were especially nice touches. Thank you so much for a great get-away. We will definitely book again.

Little Gem

The property is very well appointed. Everything you could need was there and the beds were so comfortable. It was great place to relax after a day of mountain biking, hiking & exploring the Gunflint Trail. Would highly recommend.
