Family House on Golf Course, Short Walk to Beach!

This four bedroom, four bath home is located about 100 yards from the beach and has a quiet, natural lagoon view. Minutes to the central hub of Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort - tennis, biking, shops, bikes, restaurants, golf, fishing and more! It is a great spot to experience Island life and see the vast array of wildlife. When you enter the home, you are greeted with bright décor and natural light. The living room has a mounted flat screen television to relax after a long island day.

The kitchen has an open flow for entertaining and is the perfect spot to prep a delicious Lowcountry meal. It is fully equipped ample dining and cookware, Keurig coffee maker and dining table that seats 8 guests.  There are a total of four bedrooms with a king bed in the master and two bedrooms with twin beds and a third bedroom with 2 double/full with ensuite bathrooms.  The quiet location and access to the expansive deck make this a great layout for up to ten guests. When you take a walk outside, the back deck has furniture to enjoy the endless nature views and gas grill for your cooking needs. Make memories on Hilton Head Island with all that there is to do!

Note there is no pool access with this quaint, original island home! Welcome to 20 Haul Away!

Great palmetto dunes house

Great, affordable place to stay for our family in palmetto dunes. Close bike ride/walk to beach and enough bedrooms to spread out.

great location

The location was great, beautiful resort, short walk to the beach but a few recommendations, the stove is very slow to heat up as were the burners on it. The sliding door isn't secure, the lock doesn't work and they have a piece of wood in the runner to substitute. It's a rental, not very home like feeling.

Comfortable stay close to beach

Our family of 5 had a comfortable stay with plenty of room to stretch out - great deck for hanging out, checking out the wildlife. Wonderful view of the 18th hole and short stroll to the beautiful beach.

Nice family home

Great four bedroom + 4 bath home for our large family. Convenient location to beach, easy 10-minute walk. Palmetto Dunes neighborhood is very nice, and quiet. Large back deck, great for bbq. Large great room, perfect for large families. Well equipped with beach gear - wagon, chairs, etc. Some minor TLC items to fix/upgrade that would make this place really great - back patio sliding door very difficult to open, refrigerator needs new water filter, front door lock is old and difficult to operate, only had two dishwasher pods, and no condiments.

Loved our stay

This property is the ideal blend of location, layout, and value. We loved that the 4 bedrooms are all on the main floor and connect with the common area. The bedrooms also have their own bathroom and television as well. The deck out back was WONDERFUL. Incredibly quiet and a great place for morning coffee, afternoon relaxing, or evening dinner/drinks. You just hear the breeze and the wildlife. Great natural shade as well. Kitchen layout was very nice, did a lot of family cooking during our trip.Easy walk to the beach, pickleball, the Dunes House, and the general store/Alexanders.All of these great attributes outweigh the negatives, which are that some of the beds are uncomfortable, and the water/ice in the refrigerator don't work (as seen in previous reviews). These were adjusted for as I layered comforters/blankets from the closet onto my bed and we had to buy bottled water and bags of ice from grocery store. Easy enough.Would love to come back!

Pledge The Pink Cancer Walk

We had a wonderful time at this house, our only thing was there were many burnt out lightbulbs and many outlets don't work. Outside of that the house was great for our group and worked perfectly. I would definitely recommend it for a large family or a group of people.

Great Island Getaway

This year our family decided to rent a house in Palmetto Dunes instead of a condo as we brought along our pets. The house was as described by others in that the house was in need of some TLC and updating. It is spacious with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms though the master bathroom is small and another bath has a literal sunken bathtub. The bedrooms have carpet and the carpet was in decent shape. The tile floor in the main living area and kitchen are easy to clean up sand. The house sleeps 10 but I’m not sure the kitchen and 2 burner gas grill outside is equipped to handle 10 people. The pots/pans and cutlery are old and the stove is old with a rusty warming drawer. The ice maker didn’t work on the frig. We did have to contact the rental agency the first night due to silicone caulking around the kitchen sink that didn’t set and oozed all over us and the counters. The response was quick and taken care of quickly. The back deck is large and the landscaping gives you privacy. We saw deer everywhere in the resort and on the golf course! We appreciated the beach wagon provided for the short walk to the beach to carry all of our gear. For the location and convenience our family would choose this rental again.

Great Week at Palmetto Dunes!

Though this property is older, the great room and kitchen are a fantastic space for gathering and family bonding. The walk to the beach is pretty short and Palmetto Dunes does a great job of having many beach access points so that no one spot is too crowded amongst the houses. Booked again for next year. Be careful with the dishwasher because it is not screwed in and falls forward in the dryer does not dry well, so you may have to run two cycles.

Very clean, comfortable home spacious for our family group and young children. Great location close for walking to the beach. Enjoyed the shaded trees and backyard deck, walking in the neighborhood.

Good Not Great

Fantastic location that's convenient to the beach (5-10 minute walk), golf, bike riding, shopping, restaurants. The open floor plan makes family gatherings easy. However, the house does need some TLC as many bathroom outlets didn't work. Overall, a good place for families.

Loved Palmetto Dunes

So close to the beach! The house was nice and we enjoyed the big living room and deck. Please secure the dishwasher, it tilts forward when the top drawer is pulled out to add dishes, potential safety hazard.
