Private getaway. Carriage House

A rare find in Wildwood Crest. Carriage House is a quaint 2 story cedar shake cottage above a detached garage and is 1 of 3 units. The main house has 2 units. This property is perfect for family & friends who want to vacation together and enjoy their private space.
This 2 bedroom with 1 bathroom offers plenty of space for a family of 4 or 2 couples.

Short walk to the beach, 1 block to beautiful sunsets. Minutes to boardwalk, water parks, historical Cape May, zoo, NAS Aviation Museum, Cold Spring, wineries, light houses, and restaurants.

Or just relax with your favorite beverage on the porch with views of the garden & sunset.

Please bring linens, towels, toilet paper, napkins & kitchen trash bags. (2 queen sheets)

We provide cleaning products & laundry soap.

We have 4 beach chairs, umbrella, cart, and toys. We also have corn hole, giant pong cup game & outdoor chess.

Please feel free to unload/load in the driveway. After you finish, please park cars on the street. For your safety, please do not park across the street from the Hardware Store (our neighbor to the left) It’s a high hit area with traffic pulling in & out of the parking lot.

Minimum age to rent is 25. No senior week or events

Charming getaway

This cute cottage is well-appointed in a quiet neighborhood in Wildwood Crest. We enjoyed the location and it was close to a delightful cafe called the Jelly Fish that serves breakfast and lunch. The only downfall - and this only applies if you are a larger couple - are the beds are full size and I'm 5'5" and my husband 5'9" and we had to snuggle close to avoid rolling off the side - which I did in the middle of a hot flash! Overall, great experience!

Great getaway

This property was beautiful, spotless and blocks from a gorgeous free beach. Parking was easy, the owners left clear instructions for everything needed and it was an absolute pleasure. Well worth paying more than the seedy motels beachfront. I’d gladly stay here again.

A private and cozy stay

We had a wonderful time. The carriage house allows privacy and safety. We want to advise the owners that the wood gate at the top of the outside stairs is falling off its hinges; rusted from exposure to the elements. But we love this rental and hope to rent again in the future.

Great place!!

Quiet space, separate from the main house. Beach, boardwalk and restaurants all within walking distance, but far enough away so that it was peaceful at night. Great place for families and amenities were just what we needed! Can’t wait to return!

Comfortable, well-equipped house

We stayed here for a week in July. Pros: The house is comfortable, cozy and well-equipped. The owner is very responsive - there was a problem with the sink one day and the owner had it fixed immediately, even though it was a holiday. The house was clean and well-kept. Cons: We didn't love the location. The neighborhood is quiet and residential, with very few restaurants/cafes within walking distance. It is a longer walk to the beach than we had realized, especially as the walk from the boardwalk to the ocean takes another 5 minutes (the beach is huge and the ocean is far out). Overall, we thought the house was great, but we wouldn't choose to stay here again - we much preferred Cape May.

Great Place for R&R

The Carriage House was neat and clean with a fully stocked kitchen. It is walking distance to the boardwalk and some excellent restaurants. For adults, you are close to many wineries and breweries. We would have liked a dresser or storage in the second bedroom. There was no where to unpack clothes unless they were hung in the hall closet. Other than that we had a great time.

Perfect Getaway

This was the perfect place to stay for our family of three. The property itself was comfortable and equipped with all of the essentials and then some - the beach cart, chairs, and toys were especially appreciative! The location was ideal - only a few blocks from the beach and walking distance from restaurants and stores. We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect Escape!

We absolutely loved Raj & Kelly Jagadesan private carriage house!! Very clean and calming. Coffee on the porch in the morning while enjoying the view of their wonderful yard was amazing. The extremely well equipped kitchen made cooking our favorite Italian seafood dinner fantastic. We will most certainly be back!

Best Vacation Home!

We loved staying here and cannot wait to come back! The owners are super nice and quick to respond. Everything in the house was perfect! The A/C, heat and hot water worked so well! We also felt very safe with an automated lock system on the door and keyless entry. The carriage house also sits back a little ways from the street with trees that created privacy! This is such a great place to stay with so many amenities! We loved using the grill and the bicycles to go to the beach! And there are so many stores in walking/biking distance. The only thing we didn’t realize was that there were no towels or sheets but I did not read the listening so that was my bad. Again, we cannot wait to stay here again and make more memories with our family!

Charming, comfortable & clean

Our stay was excellent. The beds were comfortable, and we especially appreciated having beach chairs and a beach cart to use! The decor is absolutely charming and well thought-out. We had absolutely everything we needed for a great stay in this beautiful historic place. Owners were very responsive and helpful.
