Relax in a warm and cozy, wooded retreat 2 miles from M22 and Good Harbor beach. Nestled in the heart of beautiful Leelanau County, you will be near whatever you want your vacation fun to be. Nature trails throughout the county for all levels of hiking and biking are close as well as excellent golf courses. Beautiful beaches, swimming and historic lighthouses dot the shores of Lake Michigan along M22. Kayaking in lakes and rivers are highlights here as well. The Sleeping Bear Dunes and excursions to the Manitou Islands are favorite day trips.

Harbor Haven is a peaceful and private residence with all the ammenities and comforts of home including WIFI and cable. The furnishings, stone fireplace, open floor plan, outdoor seating and fire ring add to the country charm of the setting. There are 2 bedrooms, and 2 full baths in this ranch style home. The master bedroom has a queen bed while the second bedroom has 2 twin beds. There is also a sofa bed for added sleeping.

Wine tours and festivals such as craft beer, music, casinos, the National Cherry Festival, The Film Festival, Interlochen Summer Music Series are just a few of the events celebrated in our area.

This was a lovely stay. The host was very responsive and accommodating. The house is beautiful. It was very clean. There are so many nice details through out the house. It felt like I was actually in someone's home that was full of love. The beds were really comfortable with plenty of blankets. The house is located in a quiet safe neighborhood with plenty of space for parking. Plenty of room from the neighbors. It's a short drive from the beautiful lake. My husband and I look forward to staying here again.

Rustic tranquility

We had our dog with us. We had easy hikes with her at Clay Banks, Whaleback and Pyramid Point. We spent an afternoon at Good Harbor beach. We ate outside at the Western Avenue Grill and Little Traverse Inn

The Haven in Cedar

My spouse and I stayed one week here at the well-appointed cottage. Nice, quiet neighborhood within a natural setting...we witnessed a doe and her fawn walking the path that runs through the back. While there are neighbors on this court, all was quiet. Advice to future renters: consider bringing jugs of drinking water (as we did) because this place has well water. Also, the washer/dryer unit is listed for renter's use on this site, but the owner's folder has rules that request the machines not be used. Overall, we enjoyed the time in this area of Michigan and we would recommend to stay here.

Terrible water pressure and TV system

The water pressure out of the shower was a complete trickle. So bad you could not even shower really. Very disappointing to not be able to take a nice shower after a day at the beach. The TV system is not in main living area--only in a nook area and can only be used by two people given there is only a love seat for it. And the TV actually didn't even work-leaving only the master bed TV working. Coffee maker did not work. Nice quiet neighborhood in good location but the detail work inside was shoddy at best. Terrible design for laundry--can't access door to load laundry and dryer which is actually the washer too takes 4 hours to dry one load. All the interior doors don't close right or stay open They were not hung by true professionals. You can tell whomever the absteenee owner hired did not care about quality or doing the job correctly. Decor and furniture seems to be hodge-podged mix of antiques that aren't exactly well suited for family lounging around the home. The stools, chairs, etc are not really comfortable and appear there solely for pics online to make it appear cozy. It is not a terrible place....but better options exist I am sure.

Oasis near Lake Michigan and Traverse City

We’re a family of five with kids ages 6 to 13. We really enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean and intricately decorated. The kids did not want to leave. The backyard was a cozy place to roast hotdogs and marshmallows for s’mores. I love that it was such a close drive to good Harbor Beach, sleeping Bear dunes, Traverse City and other coastal towns. Kitchen was fully stocked and the house had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. A home away from home! We loved it!

Great location and accomodations

This property was fantastic. The kitchen had everything, the beds were comfortable and the back patio was great for evening fires. It was so centrally located that you could get to TC in 20 or Northport in 25 and everywhere else in between in less time. Good Harbor beach is beautiful and dog friendly which was a plus.

Michigan Adventures

This is a great property! Very comfortable and homey. We loved the backyard setting. They had anything and everything you might need for cooking. It is conveniently located for our fishing excursions and visiting family in the area. A previous review suggested to bring water as it is on well water. The post was helpful to us. We would definitely stay again!

Great spacious place 2 minutes from the best beach in Sleeping Bear Dunes area

This place is awesome! We had it booked last minute and we were very happy with the hosts and our overall experience. It is located in a quiet cul-de-sac under giant trees that provide lots of shade and cool air. Plus, it's just a 2 minute drive to our favorite beach - the Good Harbor Bay beach, which in our opinion is the best one in the Sleeping Bear dunes area. The house is pretty spacious, lots of room, but more importantly it has character! My wife really liked the one of kind polish hand made plates and bowls, lost of knickknacks and what appears to be handmade decorations. For the last couple of years we have been coming to this area every single summer and stayed a various rentals, but this is the only rental that didn't feel like it was a commercial rental place, it felt like someone's home, like people actually live there, again as far the decorations go, attention to detail, all of the provided kitchen utensils and household items that you might need during your stay which made for a carefree and very relaxing experience, exactly what you would like to feel like during your vacation. We highly recommend this place! Thank you very much to the hosts and we will definitely consider coming back to this place next summer!
