When we arrived the place smelled clean, everything was nice, most importantly the kitchen had everything you would need if you were looking to cook most of your meals like we did. House was cozy, would definitely come back and stay here if I’m ever back for a music festival or snowboarding.

Great stay

We had a great time at the house. It’s very charming and right on the lake. We loved the fire pit and deck looking over the water. Only negatives were the beds were not made when we got there and the air conditioning did not work that well upstairs.

Quiet getaway

This was our second year here, and we loved it. There’s lots of space and separate areas for our teens and pre-teens to getaway, but also enough to do and space to do it in when we want to all be together.

Secluded Cabin

The house was very clean, great fire pit and deck. Walk to the beach for the kids. Overall experience was very good. The only thing that could have been better is the water pressure for the showers.

brian , thank you for your kind review and input , i am happy you enjoyed your stay with your family , i have not had a issue in the past with the water pressure , i apologize for the inconvenience it may have caused , i have had a professional address the issue and apparently the pressure switch for the well did fail, causing lower than normal water pressure , the issue has been rectified , thank you again , and please consider returning .

Lovely home but inaccurate description of property

The home was lovely, comfortable, and well-stocked, but we were disappointed to learn the day before arrival that the dock and beach were not private, as the photos and description indicated. They are shared with an association of owners along the lake. Since this was a holiday weekend, and the beach is small, it became crowded quickly. Additionally, the lake was 80% lily pads with a muck floor making fishing, canoeing, and swimming challenging- not terrible, but inaccurate.

im sorry your visit did not meet your expectations , however the shared beach is stated in the property details on listing ,the beach did have more people than normal on what was a steamy hot july 4th weekend , the lilly pads have been more prevelent this year in all lakes in southwest wisconsin due to higher than normal rainfall, the lake district association does cut the lillys creating boat and kayak lanes on the lake .

Great girls get away

Great house with lots of room and a beautiful view! The beach is right next to it and had a lot of room in the driveway to accommodate parking for 8 people. Communication with the owner was easy and he was very helpful!

The location is nice, quiet, and secluded. Gave cute cottage vibes. However, the house had a musty smell which we later found out was coming from moldy water some live flowers were in (2 seperate vases). The flowers were fresh but the water and vases needed cleaned due to the mold. The beds were not very comfortable but that is always hit or miss at places. The water had a very strong sulfer smell and made it hard to have everyone shower since it would stink up the house. The septic alarm went off a couple times in our 2 day stay as well. Overall, the house was clean (minus the flowers) and it was a very nice location. The owner was receptive and did respond quickly when I texted. There was plenty of parking onsite which was nice however the beach area parking is at the end of the driveway and we kept getting blocked in. It was easy to ask the people to move their cars but just a minor inconvenience. Despite the challenges we faced I did really enjoy sitting on the deck with the view of the lake along with the secluded forrest feel where the firepit is.

i am sorry for the nuances you encountered , and very happy you enjoyed your stay , as explained in the check in instructions the home is operated on a septic tank and also a well system , the alarm is a early warning system to call for extraction service,and easily silenced as instructed, all well water does have a slight sulphur odor, mostly undetectable ,however after your comment we have completely serviced the entire water filtration system in the home , i thank you for your feedback, the issues have been corrected .

Wonderful

The house was exactly as depicted in the listing, well-stocked for all of our needs, and perfectly clean. There was plenty of room for 8 of us to spend time - both inside and outside on the deck and around the fire pit. The beach is at the end of the driveway and very nice. The owner was communicative and the checkin/out process was simple and seamless. I would highly recommend this property.

A lovely family cottage

We really enjoyed our trip! The cottage was beautiful - very cute, clean and well located. We were 6 adults and 2 children and all fit in well, if a little cozy. 6 people total would probably be ideal in the space. The lake area was right there and perfect with little ones, for the beach, paddling and light swimming. The AC in the house was a life saver on this very hot weekend! Would also recommend bringing a couple of fans for the upstairs if traveling at the height of summer. Do check out Holi Cannoli for excellent chicken parm, only a 2 minute drive away :) Thanks Liam for a great stay!

Great Location

Outside: The house has a great outdoor space. Our family loves fires so we loved the fire pit. There was also plenty of wood to use. The front deck was large enough to have dinners outside. One downside was the transition from the back deck to the front deck. At night you can't see the transition well. Inside: There was plenty of room to spread out if you needed to get away from everyone. The kitchen had everything you needed to cook meals. The one bedroom is downside and the other 3 are upstairs with the full bath. One word of caution if someone in your party is elderly. The bathtub is upstairs and the sides of the tub are high so it's difficult to get in and out. There is also no safety bar in case of balance issues.

Nice getaway!

We enjoyed the home and the beautiful backyard. The deck looking over the lake was a very nice place for our dinner meals with our son and his family. Our grandkids, ages 14 and 10, enjoyed the small swimming area, playing darts and making s’mores. We really liked the proximity to the Geneva Lake area and the Kettle Moraine Forest State Park. Liam was very responsive to all our questions.
