-Several restaurants including Mile 229 Restaurant, The Prey & McKinley Park Village are all within walking distance.
-Triple Lakes Trail and the Southern edge of Denali National Park within 1 mile.
-Panorama Pizza, Carlo Creek, Denali Creekside Café & the Perch within 3 miles to the South.
-Grizzly RV liquor store and McKinley Village within a mile to the north.
-Denali National Park Main entrance is 7 miles to the north.
-World Famous Glitter Gulch for all your Dining & Gift needs including the Alaska Salmon Bake, Prospector Pizza, Karsten's Public House(One of our Favorites), Crow's Nest, & Denali Grande Denali to name a few.
-Healy is 18 miles north that has a large grocery store, golfing, ATV opportunities and the Alaska Famous 49th State Brewing Company.
-Dog Sled Tours available from Iditarod legend Jeff King.
-Multiple Rafting companies to Raft the Nenana Canyon.
-Meat cache is also a double for a kids tree house. Mattress and lights
-Denali park road lottery in September. Entries are required by May 31 each year. Visit -NPS.gov and type in Denali Park Road lottery.
-When booking please do not leave a day that is non-bookable on either side of your stay. If you do, we may call you and see if you can adjust your vacation plans or we may not be able to rent. We only have approximately 115 days that we can possibly book and if every guest left a day or two on either side that is un-bookable, we could potentially lose out on half our season. Great cabin decor for hunters/outdoor guests. Wonderful location if you enjoy airfield activities and small planes coming and going. Good launch point for Denali activities.

such a beautiful and cozy cabin. Plenty of space for the 5 of us ... loved having the upstairs suite to be able to retire for the evening. The airstrip next door was cool. Was fun to see the small planes coming and going a few times a day. VERY close to the Denali visitor center. On one of our morning hikes we got rained on and we were able to just pop back to the cabin to change into dry clothes before continuing on our day.

This cabin was exactly as advertised and we loved staying there. There were 4 adults that stayed comfortably. We had everything we needed from laundry to kitchen set up. Being on the airport runway was fun as well

Wonderfully appointed, clean cabin in a charming setting close to the park. We enjoyed sitting around the fire pit watching the airstrip as well as the surrounding scenery. Oh so close to Denali. Will absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend this property. (Airplane noise was not a distraction for us)

We had a great stay! The cabin was cozy and comfortable and very conveniently located close to Denali national park entrance and food and shops in the area. It was unique to be next to an airport and fun to see the planes once and a while. The information provided by the host on the property and surrounding area was helpful.

Perfectly located Denali log cabin

The house could not have been in a better location, only a few miles down the road from the national park. The cabin was clean and very well stocked. Communication with the owners was easy and responsive. When we are back, we’d definitely stay again!

Just perfect for a visit to Denali! Convenient to everything and a super location in the woods on the airstrip. The house had everything the five of us needed and was very comfortable. Kelly and Cheryl were great!

This place was GREAT! All the light switched where labeled, the place was clean, enough towels for everybody, we had 4 adults and didn't feel crowded. We basically used it for a place to sleep while we visited Denali. We saw one plane take off and that was pretty neat. Very easy to locate while driving down the road.Brian

Great stay

The property was beautiful and close to the park. It was in a great location. We had the best prime rib dinner at a restaurant right down the street at the creekside cafe. The house was exactly as pictured.

This is a fantastic log house! Our party of 6 adults thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owners have thought of everything. We also loved being adjacent to the air strip - it was such a novelty and we ran outside every time we heard a plane to watch it land. Do bring sleep masks in the spring/summer because, although there are room darkening curtains on most windows, there are none on the front door and this light carries up to the loft bedroom and sleeper sofa. We were so happy to find this house! Thank you for an unforgettable trip.

How did we meet, Kelly had a job in Southeast Alaska 1991, I worked as a Ticket Agent. His work company would freight just about everyday, we started to chat and out on a date it was year 1991, we have been married since 1992.
We both enjoy our family time with our 3 wonderful children and enjoy our time with our 7 grandkids, Alaska will always be our home.

We have another VRBO just 2 miles off of the Denali highway, at Cantwell, and decided to buy another property to share. The Property at Cantwell is called "Gorgeous Lakeside Chalet" and if the log home isn't available, you may check this property out as well.
We wanted to open our 2 homes for other travelers to enjoy our Alaskan nature and relax at the same time.
