Bungalow Blue ~ 1 bedroom w/ AC in heart of Coral Bay

Bungalow Blue is set above the jungle canopy with amazing views of the serene Coral Bay Harbor. This newer, custom designed home sits in a private location, yet is walking distance to restaurants, shops, groceries, and water activities such as kayaking and paddle-boarding.

The Bungalow has a large screened in porch, with ample space to kick back and relax while listening to the birds, frogs & sounds of the island. This home is the perfect spot for a romantic getaway!

The open floor plan includes an up-to-date kitchen with stainless steel appliances a new Vitamix blender, a living room with flat-screen Smart TV with Blu-Ray DVD player, WiFi, Amazon Echo Show for additional entertainment and large doors leading onto the screened in porch. The bedroom features a Queen bed with a private entrance and A/C. Bungalow Blue also features a gas grill and washer & dryer.  While this bungalow is best suited for couples, it can sleep four guests. Please inquire for approval and accurate pricing for additional guests using the Murphy bed.

As your on island property managers, Antares will be there to assist with your arrival and during your stay. Welcome to your island home away from home!

Power is provided to St. John via an underground cable from St. Thomas. Our power supply is not always reliable and power outages are not uncommon. They are typically short lived, but can last for a few hours. These outages can happen with or without warning from the island’s power company, known as WAPA. We will do our best to keep you comfortable and informed. Antares strives to make your villa stay as comfortable and trouble free as possible. Please understand that power outages are out of our control. Please note, water will not work during an outage. There are no refunds for power loss.

Bungalow blue

The perfect stay..we enjoyed every sunrise and sunset In this magical location. The covered porch made breakfast and any meal extremely enjoyable. This house exceeds all expectations providing everything you need from kitchen utensils to beach gear. It is on the far end of the island so you will definitely need a rental to get back and forth to town and all the picturesque beaches. We really enjoyed it!!!

Paradise getaway

What can I say about this property? Everything about it was amazing. Check-in and communication with the property managers was top notch, with information about check-in, actives, etc. all provided in an easily accessible website/app. The view was spectacular and the inside and outside of the property was exactly as described and pictured. We loved the open air feel to the property and loved sitting on the deck and enjoying the amazing views.

Honeymoon in Paradise

My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon, and it was our first time on St. John. We loved our quiet and secluded stay. The bungalow was great for the two of us, and the screened-in porch is amazing to start the morning and end the day. Definitely need a jeep if staying here, the roads to the bungalow across the island and the driveway itself have pretty steep hills, but we strongly recommend it so you have the freedom to explore the Coral Bay side of the island. Beach chairs, towels, and snorkel gear were there for us to use, and there was even a little welcome package in the kitchen for us! Overall, a fantastic place to stay when visiting St. John.

Great location on quiet side of the island

Our first trip to St. John’s and Bungalow Blue didn’t disappoint. Perfect for two. Well maintained. Neat. Clean. Comfortable. Living area and Kitchen have all the necessities and well organized. Providing beach towels, chairs, coolers and snorkeling gear a big plus. The screened in porch is delightful. Coral Bay is quiet and remote yet provides all the things you need for a wonderful vacation.

Bungalow Bliss

This is a very comfortable house for two. It was private but we didn't feel dangerously isolated. The view of Coral Bay from the screened in porch was absolutely beautiful and we enjoyed watching the iguanas in the treetops. After looking at other driveways, we were glad for the flat landing although a 4 wheel drive jeep was needed for traveling to the beaches. The house had every amenity we would ask for and we did cook while there. The snorkeling equipment, beach chairs, and beach towels meant that we didn't have to rent any equipment for our stay. The little Martin guitar was a nice surprise for my husband who plays guitar daily. We would highly recommend this house to anyone wanting to get away from the busy side of Cruz Bay. The only negative aspects of this location are the barking dogs and crowing roosters which distract from the peacefulness.

Very nice quaint cottage!!

This is our 2nd time we’ve had a week+ stay in St John in the Coral Bay area and really liked the location. 5-minute walk to the grocery and 2 restaurants. 3-minute drive to 2 more restaurants too. Easy 15-20min to several beaches. The cottage looks completely renovated - beautiful wood work around the windows and doors. Nice AC unit in the bedroom with a full door. Nice kitchen with all the supplies you’d need. Ice packs, beach chairs, beach towels too. Great views from the large screened-in porch. Make sure you bring bug spray or Skin So Soft - the screens don’t necessarily keep out those pesky critters. Another perk is the Hospitality service that you can text/call for info. They’re very responsive! I’d totally reco staying here. Really gorgeous place!

Perfect place

This was our first time visiting St. John and Bungalow Blue was PERFECT. It is centrally located on the east side of the island (which is cooler at night than the Cruz Bay, we’re told), close enough to walk to several restaurants and just minutes drive to any of the beaches. You can tell this place is well cared for and the spacious porch makes it feel so much bigger than it is. There were so many thoughtful touches around the home that made us feel welcome (snack/coffee basket, island themed books, maps and information about the island, beautiful beach decor and plenty of hooks for hanging all our things!) It also had everything we needed for our daily excursions...towels, beach chairs, umbrella, coolers, snorkel gear, etc. We especially loved relaxing on the large screened-in porch every morning and evening while our 2 boys watched all 3 Pirates of the Caribbean. :) Thank you for the awesome recommendations and a lovely stay, Shawn and Kate!

Wonderful home in paradise!

Bungalow Blue is an amazing home! This is a well equipped and beautifully appointed home. We really enjoyed eating meals and relaxing on the screened-in porch while watching boats in Coral Bay. We never needed the AC since the tropical breezes kept us cool. The home was immaculate, and the spacious bathroom was spectacular. This is a wonderful place to stay on St John and is centrally located near a variety of excellent beaches. We are grateful for the opportunity to stay at Bungalow Blue, and we highly recommend this home for your next vacation!

This house is everything they advertised and more. It is well equipped, including everything you need for the beach. Convenient location. But the best part is the back porch. It's screened in with a view of the harbor. We almost lived on that porch.

Ideal Rental in Coral Bay

This was my second stay in BB and I cannot say enough great things about this home, the owners, the location, and the extras. I visit Coral Bay annually and have stayed in many homes. BB is perfect for me and has extras like snorkel gear and AC in the bedroom that I haven’t found in other rentals. Shawn and Kate are very responsive and accommodating and have made sure that the home is equipped with everything that you need to enjoy a relaxing time on the island. I enjoy morning reading on the porch and watching the birds and iguanas and goats. The house has multiple fans which keep a nice flow throughout. The beach chairs are nice and have straps for easy toting (unlike some other homes I have rented). There are many movies and books and a complete set of utensils and kitchen items. There is a washer and dryer, too.

Everything we could ask for and more!

After staying in Cruz Bay for many years, we wanted to stay in Coral Bay. After searching, we chose Bungalow Blue and we are so glad we did! This home was perfect for us. Stocked, airy, private, comfortable... Awesome

Located on the quiet side of St John, yet 10-15 min drive to really amazing beaches, this place is perfect. Walk to a few decent restaurants too. Fully apportioned, lots of space, with huge screened-in deck, the breeze blowing, and super private, you wont feel you have to go to those idyllic beaches (but you better). Only issue was the bathroom, which sits in between the master bedroom and the main part of the house, which is a bit awkward. Bu the wall-bed was cool, the kitchen super-stocked, and coffee and rum galore!

Truly a wonderful place!

We really enjoyed our vacation at Bungalow Blue. Perfect location, very nice accommodation. Extremely clean and well decorated. Nice to have all the little extras available from Kate and Shawn like beach chairs, umbrella, coolers all on hand. Perfect location and lovely space

An excellent choice on St John. We much prefer the Coral Bay side of the island. Shawn and Kate are extremely responsive and helpful. Made communication easy. The home is about a 15 minute drive from most North Shore beaches and Salt Pond. Walking distance to a few restaurants and a small but well-stocked grocer was a real bonus. After beach-hopping in our Jeep all day, it was nice to wander down the hill for a beverage at Aqua Bistro. The house itself has a great layout; the screened porch is excellent with comfortable furniture and great views. Wi-fi was consistent throughout our stay (but we were happy to stay away from our devices). Kitchen had everything we needed, even a pizza stone. Appreciated the chairs, cooler, and umbrella. We brought our own snorkel gear but there is some at the property. Although hurricane damage is evident on the island, businesses are open and tourism is a great way to support the community. You can’t go wrong with this spot. Enjoy!

Awesome Stay

Loved staying here - it's a wonderful home and easily accessible. It's located within walking distance to the market and restaurants. There was a thoughtful gift basket waiting for us on our arrival. We would definitely return. We especially loved Salt Pond and all of the beaches along the north shore. The views and wild life were simply amazing.

A Great Little House!

Bungalow Blue is a great house with a wonderful view of Coral Bay! This is the quieter side of the island, but the house is an easy walk to some great little restaurants and a bar with live music. We loved exploring all of the beaches on the island and then in the evening we would walk down the hill and have a wonderful dinner and terrific music. We would definitely recommend Bungalow Blue! Shawn and Kate are just great about communicating too! It’s a really comfortable home!

Perfect Escape

We stayed at Bungalow Blue in June and we had an AMAZING time! Everything about our trip was perfect! This was our first trip to St. John and we would 100% come visit again and stay at Bungalow Blue. We arrived later in the evening and the house was very easy to find, Shawn and Kate were very communicative prior to our arrival and gave us excellent directions on how to get to Bungalow Blue. We had a few questions once we were on the island and while we were getting settled for our stay. Shawn and Kate were very easy to contact and quickly responded to our questions! Which was awesome! The Bungalow is very close to the market, which was right at the turn to the driveway. And there were some lovely restaurants very close. The house was within 20 min of all of the beaches that we visited. It also had everything that we might need on our trip, including some maps of the island, swim fins, snorkel masks, beach chairs, at least two small coolers, a great book of information, and even a fish spotting guide (which we loved!). We can't wait to visit St. John again!!
