Chalet Velika Planina Veternice is fully renovated and modernly equipped. It blends traditional and historical architecture, uniquely renowned worldwide, crafted from local materials and wooden beams. The ground floor offers a living area with a dining table and a fireplace. It also includes a fully equipped kitchen with a cooktop, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, a separate toilet, a bathroom with a shower, a storage room, and a bedroom with a double bed. The upper floor accommodates 4 people, with a double bed and two single beds. The chalet also features a large garden with outdoor furniture. The surroundings are peaceful and quiet, offering stunning views of the mountains and the old Shepherd village, a cultural heritage of Slovenia. Free internet access and a private Finnish sauna are available. The location is accessible: a 5-minute walk from the chairlift and the Zeleni Rob restaurant.
Please note, the chalet is situated at an altitude of 1500 meters and is accessible by gondola and chairlift.

Velika planina is the largest and most visited mountain plateau in Slovenia, located northeast of Kamnik. It consists of several pastures and is best known for its idyllic shepherds' settlement, centered around the Chapel of Mary of the Snows, which captivates every visitor. The area is most lively in the summer when shepherds fill the cottages and stay with their livestock until September. Visitors can taste local delicacies and enjoy a traditional shepherd's meal. Explore the Preskar Museum and the chapel. Stroll past cows, anthills, and traditional cottages. Velika planina never disappoints! And for winter lovers â winter on Velika planina is magically enchanting.
