The Rognstad Ridge Retreat is a cabin that will comfortably sleep 2-3. There is a fold up twin bed on the main floor, and a queen bed. Full bathroom (shower) and full kitchen. The property is on 10 acres that is mostly wooded, to allow our guests to see wildlife, song birds, and enjoy the serenity of nature.

The platonic ideal of a Driftless cabin. Lovely grounds. Close to amazing streams. Very comfortable and well equipped interior. I will stay here again.

Wife and I stayed here for a weekend getaway. The house was great. Very scenic view from the porch and a very quiet / peaceful location. We enjoyed kayaking on the Kickapoo river (less than 30min away) and spent one day visiting the local Amish stores. If you stay here would highly recommend the Scenic View Bakery.If we ever find ourselves coming back to the area would definitely stay here again.

The cabin exceeded our expectations. It was clean, had all the things one needs for a great stay, peaceful and private setting, internet worked great. Had full range of choices for streaming shows for us and my 10yr old, and all the outside nature fun - s'mores around the fire, paths for hiking with dog, and toads and monarchs. Highly recommend!!

Small getaway trip

We booked looking for a quiet stay, and this was exactly what we wanted. Secluded, peacful, and had amenities so we were able to cook our own meals. Would definitely like to stay again sometime.

Lovely, Quiet, Restful

We very much enjoyed our stay in this lovely cabin. Everything we needed was provided, check in and out super simple. We wanted a quiet place to rest and relax and this was definitely it! Enjoyed morning coffee on the covered porch overlooking the woods. Spent the days on the porch reading, playing games and enjoying the peace and a fire in the fire ring at night. We will certainly go back and highly recommend to others looking for peace.Margo and Jeff

Perfect nature lover’s cabin

We really enjoyed the woodland surroundings with all the wildflowers and birds. The driftless area is beautiful and we felt such peace on this property. The cabin was very clean and comfortable, and well equipped.

The Rognstad Ridge Retreat is located just one mile from a Class I trout stream in Timber Coulee. We are two miles from the Snowflake par 3 golf course, and within a few miles of many restaurants, shops, and the Amish community. Vernon County is in the heart of the Driftless region, and offers unique landscape, natural beauty, and opportunities for recreation. We are close to the Kickapoo River for canoeing and kayaking, and 20 miles from the Mississippi River.
