PET FRIENDLY Ranch Living avec de belles vues près des attractions / festivités locales

Situé à 5 miles à l'ouest de La Farge, Wisconsin dans le coeur de la vallée de Kickapoo est l'hébergement à la journée ou la semaine sur un boeuf ranch de 300 acres. À tout moment de l'année, il y a une population allant de 50 à 300 têtes de bétail et des veaux. Le baraquement est un hôtel rénové 100 années ancienne ferme de deux étages avec 2 salles de bains et 5 chambres. Il est situé au sommet d'une haute crête surplombant la vallée de Kickapoo ci-dessous. Il est situé à seulement quelques miles de la Réserve Valley Kickapoo et borde le Conservatoire Mississippi Valley. Il est pas une location de luxe, plutôt propre, vieille ferme dans un magnifique cadre de ranch. Si vous recherchez un lieu de séjour raisonnable tout en profitant de l'atmosphère rurale, cet endroit pourrait être pour vous! Il est entièrement meublé et disponible pour un petit ou un grand groupe.

Avoir un endroit propre pendant que vous appuyez sur les ressources de la zone. Chasse, pêche à la truite, le vélo, la motoneige, le ski, l'équitation, le kayak, activités de plein air sont tous disponibles dans la région. Il suffit d'apporter votre propre nourriture et de boissons. Asseyez-vous dans la cour et profiter du paysage tout en griller sur le gril en plein air ou autour d'un feu de camp. Bois de chauffage sera fourni. Tous les draps, ustensiles de cuisine, la cuisine et manger matériaux, cuisinière, réfrigérateur, serviettes, matériel d'entretien ménager sont fournis. Télévision et DVD pour les films et Internet avec WiFi gratuit à partir du 24 mars 2017. Beaucoup de paix et de calme. Bons restaurants, toutes les églises de dénomination, les hôpitaux sont proches.

The lovely owner was there to meet us at check-in. The house is quite literally on a cattle ranch, so there is cattle ranching work going on almost constantly. Our stay was in March, so the vegetation was not lush and green as shown in the picture. The house is an old farmhouse, and you should expect the quirks that come along with it. The upstairs bathroom toilet was having some issues flushing, but nothing that we couldn't deal with. There was open and good communication with the owner about this during our stay. The downstairs bathroom is very tiny, has an accordion plastic door right off the kitchen, and contains the only shower. It was entirely pleasant trying to get cleaned up in there. There were plenty of towels, kitchen supplies, and bedding. There was not a coffee grinder though, so bring ground coffee with you. My spring allergies flared up while we were there, probably from the hay bales on the ranch. We had a nice fire one night. Chairs and firewood are provided by the owner. Overall, we had a lovely weekend with family at The Bunkhouse.

We really enjoyed the property. It was perfect for time away from the hustle of our busy lives. However, the location pinned for directions is not the property. It's the host's home about a block down.We booked over a month and a half in advance of our stay. I remember checking the box saying we were bringing pets. We communicated about my dogs before booking, after booking and over several messages and phone calls. Upon arrival, she met our dogs. At no time was anything said about there being an issue with our booking.We were awoken on our last day at 8am by the host. We did not answer as we were startled awake. She came back at 9 as we were getting up and requested 20 cash for our two dogs. I refused cash and informed her that should only come through the app. She told me she didn't know how. A lack of knowledge on how to use the technology does not make an emergency on my end.When I reported it to VRBO this they said I don’t need to do anything and they’d talk to the host. Just now she sent me an additional bill for the money.

This is indeed an old farmhouse. Spacious interior, and with nice vistas. Right on a major thoroughfare, so traffic noise detracted a bit from the otherwise peaceful location. Hosts are nearby, helpful and friendly.

Was a wonderful experience! The place was spacious enough for the family and the home was clean and welcoming. There is a beautiful view of the sunrise in the mornings! The hosts were great with communication, and went above and beyond expectations to make sure we were having a great stay. The kids really enjoyed watching the cows in the pastures from afar. People working around the farm were very friendly and always waved when we were outside. Over all I was very pleased with our stay and will definitely be looking to stay again during my future WI trips.

Great location made better by a great hostess!!

The property was very clean!! Older farmhouse but well maintained. Just be aware, it had two complete bathrooms but only one shower.Great for our needs; fly fishing every day!!Loved that we had the entire property to ourselves.The hostess was always in communication and she met us at the house.No corporate owners here!! We loved that she greeted us and told us about the property.We will definitely stay here again.

Wonderfully relaxing and beautiful location. Comfortable accommodations. Janice was great—very welcoming. We enjoyed our “return to hometown visit” tremendously, including going to the bookstore in the old Tobacco Warehouse, Saturday farmers market, dinner at the Driftless Cafe and the lounge at the restored Fortney Hotel.

We had a great time at the bunkhouse. Mom and daughter trip, with some wedding dress shopping, and thrift store shopping. We got to see a calf be born at the farm, that was a highlight for my girls who grew up in town.

This house is just as advertised. A large farm house with plenty of space. We loved the relaxed setting, the quaint farm house and the cows too! The house had everything we needed. It was clean and felt like home. Janis, our host, was helpful and available.

Nice Old Farm House with a Friendly Host

As the listing said, this was a clean, no frills 2 story old farmhouse. The A/C is provided using 1 window unit on each floor, which along with the ceiling fans kept everyone comfortably cool. The upstairs unit was loud in the bedroom where it was placed, so that room wasn't used for sleeping. The water pressure in the shower was very low but did the trick, just plan on spending a bit more time in there! Hostess Janice was very friendly and responsive, and the notebook that tells the history of the house and the people who lived in and around it was a wonderful read for all you history buffs out there. Overall a good experience!

Bunkhouse Stay

Janice was very flexible with check in. I loved learning about the history of the house and her family. Such a sweet host. Quiet area to stay with beautiful scenery and wildlife galore. It reminded me of my grandparents houses growing up.

Kayaking the Kickapoo

Janis met us and checked in to make sure everything was ok. Views are amazing. The property was just as described. We enjoyed gathering around the dining room table, in the living room and the firepit. The house was charming.
