Fabulous holiday villa

Marvellous view of the valley, definitely need a car to get to beautiful villages, lots within 1 hour. September 2025 weather was fantastic, sunny days all week. Villa was very comfortable for 5 adults, separate bedrooms and bathrooms, well equipped with dinner sets etc. A very rustic property.

Idyllic stay, in a picture perfect location

Casa Frati is exactly what our small group was looking for. An idyllic house set on the perfect hillside with stunning views - worth getting up for a sunrise. Kitchen has everything you need with a great indoor and outdoor eating area. Rooms and showers were also all a good size. The house is designed to give groups two separate, private areas if needed. Not hard to find with enough small restaurants in a short 5-10 min driving distance. Just beware no screens on the windows and gets buggy.

Postcard setting

Amazing property with spectacular views convenient to all the best towns in southern Tuscany. The pool was a perfect spot to relax after exploring the local towns and the villa had lots of charm and character. The only item to be improved is there were no supplies of any kind in the home (salt, pepper, condiments, garbage bags) but maybe that was because we were early in the season. If you're looking for relaxation away from it all this is the place.

What a beautiful stay. On the negative side, it was difficult to find. Google Maps tried to take us down a very sketchy road that we wouldn’t have gotten through. We did call the hosts and they met us nearby and led us to the place. Also, there are no kitchen supplies or toiletries, so bring your own. That being said, the place is beautiful and the views are outstanding. We stayed in many incredible places during our two weeks in Italy, but this one will stay in our memories more than any other. I can’t overstate how beautiful and peaceful this place is. It’s also smack in the middle of the Val D’Orcia and near many beautiful Tuscan hill towns like Pienza and Montepulciano. Incredible.

Schöne, besondere Unterkunft

Die Unterkunft ist etwas Besonderes, als ehemaliges Kloster und einem großen Garten mit tollem Pool und traumhaftem Ausblick. Es ist nicht alles in Top Zustand, nicht "alt auf edel gemacht", sondern authentisch antik. Der einzige Wehrmutstropfen war, dass es Mäuse im Haus gab! Deren Kot war sogar im Bett zu finden - das darf nicht sein. Der freundliche Verwalter hat sofort Mäusefallen und Staubsauger gebracht.

Herrlich, idyllisch und ruhig

Die Unterkunft liegt wunderschön gelegen und lädt so richtig zum Erholen ein. Was gibt es schöneres, als ein gutes Glas Wein in dieser ruhigen Umgebung zu geniessen? Die Wohnung ist sauber und der Pool perfekt um abzukühlen. Wäre gerne länger geblieben.

Ruim huis met een ongelooflijk prachtig uitzicht. Het zwembad was heerlijk en werd heel goed onderhouden . Zomer '22 was snikheet en de schaduw van de bomen was welkom. De vele olijfbomen kreunden echter van de droogte. Mooie dorpjes op enkele km. Een auto is echt nodig. Er is wel achterstallig onderhoud nodig. Veel lampen deden het niet. Overal veel ongedierte, maar dat is op het platteland misschien wel gewoon. Op het eind geweigerd om extra te betalen voor het bubbelbad want inbegrepen.

Wunderschön mit Bedarf zur Optimierung

Das Haus ist wunderbar gelegen, eingebettet im Val d‘Orcia welches zum Weltkulturerbe gehört. Das Haus ist eine Toskanische Villa wie aus dem Bilderbuch. Mit großem Umschwung um z.B Federball spielen zu können. Meine Familie und ich besuchten die Toskana Anfang Oktober, da ist es am Abend schon sehr kalt. Unbedingt genügend warme Kleider mitbringen es wird erst ab Ende Oktober geheizt! Auf Nachfrage, wurden uns Wolldecken zu Verfügung gestellt. Die Ausstattung der Küche mit ist mässig gut.

Sikke en atmosfære. Det ligger langt væk fra alting, og adgangsvejene er svært fremkommelige. Men når først man er fremme, waugh hvor er det lækkert.

Best spot ever!

Great place with fantastic wiew!

Nice house with lot of space. Very clean when we arrived. Pizzaoven in the garden worked well. Hot water also. If something negative( We really could live with it anyway) lightning above kitchen area and some other places was poor( several bulbs were missing in the lights).Fantastic views aroud the house.

Kauneutta ja rauhaa Val D´Orciassa

Talo toimiva, mm. keittiön koneet, lämmitys, lämminvesi, kuivat polttopuut kolmelle takalle ja pihagrillille. Näkymät eivät kauniimpia keväässä voisi olla, niin sisällä talossa kuin ulkona. Isäntäväki sydämellisen ystävällisiä.
