Our newly renovated (1 bedroom/1 loft/2 bath/sleeps 6) cozy cabin sits on 12 acres and feels remote, but is only 2.5 miles from downtown Travelers Rest. It is just minutes from the Swamp Rabbit Trail, numerous state parks, endless shopping opportunities, family (and dog) friendly eating establishments, well-known breweries, wineries, and fun! Our closest town, Travelers Rest (TR as the locals call it) is an up-and-coming gem in the heart of Greenville County's most beautiful travel and adventure destinations. Only 15 minutes away is Greenville, SC--one of the most beautiful and cleanest cities in Blue Ridge Country. A little farther north (45 minutes) is Asheville, NC, home of the Biltmore Estate and Winery. Drive a short distance to endless hiking and biking trails, pickleball courts, river rafting, skiing, tubing, other quaint towns, and more!
You may not even want to leave the 12-acre property with trails, outdoor games, hammocks, a stream, a fire pit, indoor games, puzzles, crafts, books, DVDs, internet TV, WIFI, and more! Plus, an updated kitchen with brand new appliances, quartz countertops, and country-chic dishware and utensils. If you like to cook, we've got what you need, if you don't, food is just a phone call or short drive away!
Bringing some Littles along? We have a baby gate, children's books, games, and crafts.
Bringing your fur baby along (20 lbs. or less dog)? We have a kennel, bed, blankets, rugs, towels, long leash, toys, a brush, and bowls just for them.
Even though it feels far away, you don't need a 4-wheel drive to get here, any vehicle will do. Uber and Lyft are available from either the Asheville or Greenville/Spartanburg airport; it is a 30-45 min. drive, appx. $50-$80 ride share fee. But, we do recommend a car if you want to explore the many hiking trails, Swamp Rabbit Trail, Greenville, Greer and other outlying towns.

All aspects were excellent. Great location blending peaceful setting and close proximity to town and a variety of hiking locations. Very cozy atmosphere and very clean. Ann is a superb host. Thoroughly enjoyed seeing the various wildlife passing through the yard.

Wonderful retreat
We really enjoyed our stay! Everything was just as advertised. The location is perfect, so close to TR and many state parks but still feels remote. Ann was very nice and responded quickly to our questions. We would certainly stay here again!

Relaxing, Great Spot
Great cabin! We really enjoyed our stay. Our family of 5 and 1 dog fit nicely. Host was very responsive and had perfect suggestions when we asked. The property is as-advertised - great location, close to attractions, but calm and peaceful in the evenings. The cabin has a great porch, comfy bed, organized kitchen area with all that we needed. Lots of books, games, and DVDs for the family. Highly recommend the cabin and the Travelers Rest area!

Loved this place
The cabin was just as listed. It was clean and comfortable and the location was great. The owners have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable for you and your pet. I would definitely recommend the cabin.

Perfect for R & R
It was the perfect place for us to get some much-needed rest and relaxation. We truly enjoyed our stay & our pup had a blast running around in the yard! The pictures do not do it justice, the cabin & property exceeded our expectations.
Paris Mountain State Park, Greenville, Downtown Traveler Rest & the Swamp Rabbit Trail are all close by.

A cabin with all the amenities you need
A beautiful clean cabin set back far from the road for privacy . Large yard for the dog. Everything you need for a comfortabe stay . Close to many state parks and hiking trails .The owner was great to work with. Really enjoyed staying here with my lady, looking forward to a return visit.

Quiet Cabin
Lovely setting with wildlife. Cabin is updated with new interior. Host is responsive. NOT A PARTY house but definitely relaxing and tranquil. Close to town. Comfortable and clean. Wonderful stay.

Secluded but close to town
This was the perfect place for a long weekend family getaway. We visited with my daughter at Furman. I have no complaints the cabin was very clean and cozy. It sits on a large piece of property secluded from everything. I hope to rent this property many times over the next few years as we come to visit my daughter and the Traveler's Rest area.

Wonderful Retreat!
When I saw this listing on VRBO, I noticed all ratings were 10's. I will also give a 10 for our stay! We were in town for our nephew's graduation from Furman University. The property is 2-3 miles from downtown TR, yet private on 12 acres of land with an abutting land preserve. We saw both wild turkey and deer during our visitThe property itself is very well cared for clean and comfortable. It rained almost the whole time we were there, but we didn't care because we loved sitting on front porch in the rocking chairs listening to the birds and the rain.It really was like a home away from home! We loved it!

This cozy cabin is in an ideal location near hiking, TR, and Furman. We had a lovely weekend visiting our Furman student. The cabin is well maintained and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay including a binder with many nearby hikes. We did the loop at Bunched Arrow nature preserve with our pups. It was beautiful and unexpected to find just minutes from the cabin. The deer and turkeys on the property over the course of our stay were a fun bonus.

During an anniversary bike ride along Swamp Rabbit Trail, my husband and I fell in love with Travelers Rest and Greenville and decided to buy our little slice of heaven to share with our family and friends, and now you too. The people, the cleanliness, the outdoors, the history, and the food, all make the area a highly desirable vacation destination. Our family visits the cabin as often as we can, each time discovering new adventures and making new friends. Our little cabin has given us precious memories of our time here together.

We love the open space that is close to everything, yet feels miles away. With wildlife aplenty, we enjoy sitting in the front porch rockers, drinking coffee, and breathing in the fresh air. With hiking, biking, and shopping so nearby, you can always find something to do or simply stay home and enjoy the cozy cabin, deer, turkeys, and outdoor fun.

We have carved out a few trails; one that leads to a stream and the other to open fields. They are unmarked so just get out there and start exploring. There is another beautiful hike less than a mile away at Bunched Arrowhead Preserve: from our driveway, go left, then your first right onto McCauley Rd., then you will see the parking lot on your right. Also, during the summer months, look up concerts in Trailblazer Park and Paris Mountain, movie nights, etc. There is so much to do (or not do) in the area.
If you have bikes, bring them. You can ride them around our property or go a short distance to one of the many mountain bike trails on Paris Mountain or paved Swamp Rabbit Trail. Whatever you decide to do, you will have plenty to choose from. Enjoy your stay.
