Maison d'hôtes spectaculaire en bord de rivière avec vues incomparables sur la rivière Salmon et les montagnes !

This guest house/guest cottage is located on a 5 acre lush property RIGHT along the banks of the Salmon river. Fish right there if you desire! The views across the river to the magnificent Beaverhead mountain range (the Continental divide) are absolutely stunning! Photos don't do it justice.
Wallace creek also flows through the north end of the property into the Salmon river at most times of the year and there is a picnic table out there by the creek to dine at. Abundant wildlife frequent the property including deer, turkey, eagles, osprey, geese, various types of ducks, hawks, owls, blue heron, and many other species of birds. It truly is a virtual paradise!
River and mountain views from ALL windows too.
(1) spacious bedroom with queen size bed (with river view), (1) full bathroom, a cozy living room with super comfy furniture and sleeper sofa for 1 additional adult. Also has a fully appointed kitchen with river views from the window. Step right onto the patio from the living room - the river is literally steps away. Again there are gorgeous views of the Beaverhead mountain range (which is the Continental Divide) complete with stunning sunrises and sunsets.
NOTE: this 850 Sq ft guest cottage is located behind the garage (on the river side) and next to the main house where your hosts (Jan and Tim) live most of the summer. We are very mindful and respectful of your privacy, however!
This amazing property is located less than 15 minutes from shopping and dining in downtown Salmon. Many trails in the area for hiking & biking too. We welcome your visit as we love to share “the magic.” We know you will absolutely love “The River’s Edge!”

Jan and Tim were wonderful host.The apartment was beautiful with an exceptional view of the River. Everything was provided for comfort and kitchen needs. Jan and Tim’s place was one of the most beautiful places we have ever visited. We hope to be back next year! Also, Tim has a beautiful vegetable garden and sent us home with carrots. They were Wonderful Tim!

Our 10-day stay at Rivers Edge was perfect. Jan and Tim are warm, generous,and knowledgeable hosts and they maintain a gorgeous property. We spent hours on the patio overlooking the Salmon River, enjoying the incredible birdlife and views of the Bitterroot Range. The kitchen had everything we needed, the bed was comfortable. There's so much to offer in the Salmom area - we'll be back!

Amazing property, and the most helpful hosts! We wanted to unplug for the weekend and this home was the perfect location for us. Even our dog was in total relaxation mode... Salmon is a great little town with lots of interesting shops, great coffee & bakeries, and solid restaurant choices. Highly recommend!

Rivers Edge

Over the 4th of July we celebrated our anniversary and had the pleasure of staying at this awesome VRBO right on the Salmon River. My husband and I and Bernedoodle Finn could not have enjoyed our stay more. Jann and Tim were the best hosts ever, the accommodations were perfect and the views of the River, mountains, and wildlife were spectacular! We will definitely be back!

Perfect Private Getaway

We were so happy we found this beautiful place to stay in Salmon, Idaho. We loved the fact it was right on the river. Every evening, we enjoyed watching the abundant wildlife (deer, turkey, Osprey, Bald Eagles and waterfowl) in the relaxing peaceful setting. The accommodations were wonderful! The whole process of setting it up was easy. The hosts, Jan & Tim are wonderful people. It's nice they are willing to share their piece of heaven.

Beautiful home on the Salmon River

We couldn’t be more impressed with our accommodations. The home itself was beautiful with a western design and very comfortable. The deck is right on the river. We watched eagles, osprey and deer as we sat and had coffee in the morning. Jan and Tim were amazing hosts watching out for our every need. If you are planning a trip to Salmon, this home should be your first choice.

Rivers Edge

THE most beautiful, serene, and comfortable house by the river! The sunrises, sunsets and moon rising (that Jan pointed out to me!), were spectacular! The grounds of this property are immaculate and absolutely gorgeous in the Fall! The Guest House was perfect for my daughters and I. Cozy, everything you could possibly need and a sanity saver! Looking forward to our next visit!

Our stay at the Riverfront Guest House was amazing. The VRBO is exactly how it is presented in the pictures however when you get there the river is even more spectacular when standing on the outdoor, covered patio. The views in the background are breathtaking. Our Hosts Jan and Tim were extremely attentive and wanted to make sure our stay was perfect and it was. Inside the VRBO was stocked with everything you could think of in all of the rooms. Also, the bed was very comfortable which to us was extremely important. We rate this at 100% and would definitely come back and stay again.

My wife and I have vacationed at three VRBO properties. This visit, "The River's Edge" was the BEST of the three vacations. I desperately needed a vacation from work. I will say that after this seven day vacation of viewing Nature on our doorstep, fishing, and adventure that I am ready to return to work. The owners of the VRBO Jan and Tim are exceptional hosts. TRANQUILITY-BEAUTY-PEACE

My Son and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay there! The property is gorgeous, and the "River" is clear and captivating! We spent hours watching it. The town of Salmon, Idaho, is an old town, and there is a nice grocery store and Ace Hardware! We got our groceries at the Save-on, then grilled our steaks on the outside grill! We stayed in the guest house right next to the main house, and it had everything that we needed for our stay! We had the whole property to ourselves. There was a little buck deer and some does playing in the yard in the morning! Total quietness and not a soul in sight! Check-in was easy, and check out the same. Hope to return someday! We, (Tim Barca and Jan Rosenthal) used to live in Eagle, Colorado, but made this special haven our summer home in 2023. We live in Tesuque, outside of Santa Fe, NM in the winter months & short term rent our beautiful 2 bedroom/2 bath casita there from June 1st- mid November. We absolutely love Salmon and the surrounding area and feel so very fortunate to have found this most special riverside retreat. It’s beyond fabulous and nothing compares! Best cottage in Salmon that is located RIGHT on the river...there is no comparison to any hotels or other cottages! Total privacy and seclusion....on 5 lush acres with spectacular mountain & river views and abundant wildlife. The neighborhood is fabulous-it’s the best in Salmon in our eyes!

It is right on the Salmon river plus has a gorgeous running creek on the north end of the property. It also has 5 lush acres, many mature trees, wildlife galore... and it’s very private, yet only 10-15 minutes to town~you virtually see no neighbors. It’s so very special!
