This newly remodeled cabin is perfect for couples, families needing to get away. Walking distance to all sports Lake George and Shingle Lake. Close to Shingle Lake Park and Beach. Next to Boat Launch on Lake George. Boating, kayaking, swimming, bike riding, or riding trails are all within reach. 8 miles to Snow Snake for skiing , golfing, tubing or ziplining. Fun in winter or summer. Grill provided or walk up to Swiss Inn and dine out.

We booked this to accommodate family for our wedding and we couldn't have been happier. Really cute place with everything they needed. Walk to town or the lake. I would definitely book again !

Rustic like with all the modern conveniences!

Great location just a short walk to bar and grill, convenience store and general store. Nice new decor with a kitchen, a/c and sitting room. Wi-Fi worked great for computer and streaming movies. I’d stay again.

Adorable cottage

My sister and I chose this location as it was only 7 minutes from my brother’s cottage. Cute 2 bedroom recently redone. Comfortable beds. Good internet. The next door neighbor looks like he never met a piece of junk he didnt love but the neighborhood is safe.

Convenient, clean cottage.

We were in Late George for a family reunion. The Shiawasee cottage is on the main road but the mail road is very quiet and convenient to town and to the lake. There is a nice desk out back where we had a small birthday gathering. The cottage is clean and updated. Very cute inside.

Very cute!

The cabin has been restored to a rustic but updated state. It’s very cute inside, well-decorated and has a cabin feel to it. Both bedrooms have ceiling fans above the beds, which is great. This place was perfect for us, we were just looking for somewhere to hole up inside and visit, honestly. I think it would be great for those mostly interested in lake usage as well. If you are looking for somewhere that has a good outdoor space, I might look further. There is a very small yard, an outdoor table and chairs, a grill, and a fire pit. The cabins are very close together and unfortunately a few of them are a bit rundown (several with trash spread out in front yard) which is not this owner’s fault, and other than some slight concern when I pulled up, did not affect our trip adversely. Had we wanted to sit around outside, it may have. The area in general is mixed, with some nicer well-kept places as well. Very short, easy walk to both the restaurant and a convenience store. We found the cabin well-stocked, and had no issues during our visit. The owner was responsive quickly with a question we had. Also fyi, Google maps took me about a 1/2 mile away to a different place, in the end I had to just drive up and down the Main Street of town (which it is on, but on corner of the address road you’ll be given) until I found it - look for the shiawassee sign shown in the pics! Or I’m sure the owner could’ve helped had I called her. We would definitely return if for same purpose!
