The Blue House is a really lovely space. Close enough to downtown T or C but in a residential neighborhood so it feels more secure. The host Lindsay was super responsive and welcoming.

We had a very nice stay here and have no complaints. There were thoughtful touches, chocolates on the bed, cream in the fridge for coffee, bottled water... everything was quite inviting. Our host Lindsey was a good communicator and made us feel welcome. Definitely recommend!

It was very nice. The house was clean and equipment with a lot of brochures on attractions in the area. Also, toiletries. Close to convenience stores, elephant Butte Lake, and the hot springs.

Soft towels and sheets, plenty of blankets, coffee with fixings, and sweet snacks were all very welcoming. There was some traffic noise, but all in all the location was great and had all the amenities we needed

Weekend at the lake

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and cozy. The air conditioners worked well considering the outside temp was over 100 degrees.

Very warm bedroom

I love staying here but with only the little window unit in the living room the bedroom was very warm with only fans and 100 plus degrees outside.

Long Weekend Get-A-Way from El Paso

We had a great time spending time in Truth or Consequences, NM and visiting both nearby lakes with our 2 Rottweilers who had never been to one (not too many in El Paso). The casita was just perfect for us in size and amenities. We'd highly recommend to anyone wanting spend some dipping in the local hot springs, hiking or visiting local shops. We'll definitely go again.

The Calm of the Blue House

This wonderful, relaxing casita was an amazing place to stay during my first trip to Truth or Consquences. My timing included the rocket launch from Spaceport with Sir Richard aboard and the beginning of the green chili harvest in Hatch. T or C has a wonderful farmer’s market along with the well-known local hot springs. After my daily adventures, the Blue House was calming to come back to including the backyard where I could watch the New Mexico sky change colors at night and in the morning. Definitely put this one on your list if you are headed here (unless I beat you to it)!

Perfect "staycation" in different town

My husband and I simply wanted to rest and relax while leaving the house as little as possible. Mission accomplished! This house was perfect, it warm, cozy and had a great internet connection. It is fully furnished and has all the necessities to cook our own food and store groceries. It was minutes from the center or town and literally 2 minutes away from the hot springs, which we did visit a couple times to aid in our relaxation. I also fully enjoyed the gas fireplace. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful and we would stay again without hesitation! The host Lindsay really did a wonderful job making this a comfortable house to stay in :)

The Blue House

This is a non smoking listing. Unfortunately, it is not. It’s very apparent. The linens smelled like smoke , towels, ext. The whole building smelled like cigarette smoke. I couldn’t stay the whole time I rented the are for because of risking my health issues due to the cigarette smoke. When we first arrived at/after check in time, the home had not been cleaned yet, we had to wait for the cleaners to go in and get it done.

Very nice and quiet. Located well to get to everything! Beware the goat heads they are everywhere and you track them in the house. Even when you take your shoes off at the door.

Last minute cancellation

The owner cancelled 4 hour before check in, we had already drive many hours to get there. It was memorial Day weekend so everything was booked.

I used to own a tour company (Covid'ed) so if you have any questions about New Mexico, I'm your gal! Also, thanks to Covid-19, we have delved in to home renovating and remodeling. Aside from dog walks and installing new faucets, I like baking bread, talking business, and designing room color schemes.

The Blue House is in a great location - a 5 min drive to Elephant Butte Lake, a short walk to the Rio Grande, and a few blocks to the downtown Hot Springs District. There is a convenience store at the end of the block that has all the basics, should you need anything. The Blue House is cute, comfortable, and homey. It's a perfect place for a TorC stay, whether a longer work-from-home vacay or a weekend getaway to have fun or relax in the water.
