Brand new luxury home with 2 BDRs, each with private bath. Set in Old Mandeville on Bayou Castine, 32 miles from downtown New Orleans. Constructed in 2021 the property comes equipped with an elevator, a state of the art kitchen, formal dining area, and separate office. Enjoy the sounds of nature as you relax in the outdoor entertainment area with flatscreen TV, grill, and comfortable seating. Adjacent to this area is a walkway leading to a covered dock with views of the bayou and Fontainebleau State Park.
This convenient location gives access to 27 miles of a paved path for walking, jogging, and biking, traversing from Old Mandeville through Abita Springs to downtown Covington. To help you explore the area 2 bikes and 1 kayak are provided with your rental. Less than a mile away is the Mandeville lakefront which has everything from pubs to fine dining.

This is our go to vacation spot. We've stayed at this home at least 5 times. It is absolutely spectacular. So many amenities to enjoy, or just sit on the dock and just be. This house is literally what dreams are made of.

Everything about Cypress was incredible. if I had to use a single place to sell the beauty of Louisiana, it would be this one. We will 100% stay here again in the future. The owners keep this property in terrific condition with great attention to every detail. I've been there about three times and never had a bad experience. The location is beautiful and it's just a terrific place for a couple or a few friends to really relax.During my last visit a severe storm knocked out the electricity in the area. When the "whole-house" generator failed to start up, David (owner) came right over and corrected the issue. He came despite the pouring rain, just to ensure we were comfortable. In addition to the property and the owner's concern, consider what an amenity an alternate electric supply is. Probably not the first thing you think of when booking, but those of us from this part of the world have learned to appreciate it.

An outstanding property, in an outstanding location overlooking the bayou. Immaculately maintained throughout. This property is located just a few yards from the extensive 'trace', where you can bike (2 bikes provided) or walk for over 20 miles; is located on the bayou (canoe provided); and is only minutes from beautiful downtown Mandeville (with it's shops; restaurants; lake front etc). The property is quiet with extensive grounds. It has a large lounge, kitchen & dining area; generously sized bedrooms; and great deck areas (both upstairs & downstairs). It is superbly decorated throughout.This was our fourth stay at this property, and we are already planning our next visit. The hosts, David & Marie, are so helpful and live nearby.We stayed 18 nights at Bayou Castine and, with so much to do locally, we rarely felt the need to travel more than a few miles.

Weekend Getaway

What a beautiful and peaceful place to stay. If you want a weekend getaway... here is a MUST. Surrounding by nature and felt like we were taken to another place. Gated and the foliage makes it feel very secluded but was close to everything. Check in and out was a breeze. House instructions were easy to follow and understand. We will be coming back I am sure!
