Great location, but needed outdoor cleaning.

*Rating: 3/5* We stayed at a VRBO property on Lake Caddo, and while the experience had its highlights, there were a few areas for improvement. The house itself was clean,except for cobwebs on the window unit in one bedroom and cobwebs on some of the pulls for the ceiling fans/lights. The thermostat worked perfectty, keeping the indoor temperature comfortable throughout our stay. However, the outdoor deck was in need of some attention - there were quite a few cobwebs and spiders, and it could have benefited from a good leaf blowing and dusting. (We have stayed at caddo a few other times at other properties that the outdoor areas were extremely cleaner and well cared for.) There was a loose board on the back staircase and also on the patio right at the walkway to the deck overlooking the water. One maor inconvenience was the check-in process. The host gave us the wrong code to the front door, which delayed our entry by about an hour after the 4:00 p.m. check-in time. This was frustrating after a long drive. Overall, it was a decent stay but with a few hiccups that could hawve been avoided.

Quick weekend Lake stay

This home is exactly as advertised. Great spot right on the Bayou. The owner is super nice and very quick to respond to any questions. Will definitely be back in the future!

Great place

Like the rustic look, very spacious, clean, nice locations. Just wish to have better canoe launch access. Over all, highly recommend.

Lots of issues, lots of promises

This property is as pictured but had many issues. The key provided did not open the door and we waited over an hour for assistance. Credit promised, not delivered. The description of the bath in the master did not state that a step down was necessary. Unsafe for both couples staying. The internet and TV were not working the first day. Credit promised, not delivered. The water at this house, but not at the neighbors was cut off the third full day for several hours. Credit promised, not delivered. Inside the house was moderately clean (shower small and not well maintained), outside not well maintained. One partial roll of paper towels. No washcloths in the bathing area. Found in hall closet. Prepared several meals. No serving spoons provided. Multiple attempts to give the owners a chance to honor the reimbursements promised. Gave verbal promises multiple times but no reimbursement after 6 weeks. Worst VRBO experience yet. General setting was nice.

Good for our fishing trip

Enjoyed our stay, it was in a good location for our fishing trip and accommodations were more than sufficient. Cell service is not good in the area but we had no issues with the wifi. Would stay again.

Relaxing hideaway

My group and I travel to Caddo lake every summer and this was our first time at this property. The location is perfect with quick access to the river or lake.
