Southern Gulf Charm is more than ready to accommodate the whole family with an open layout, updated furnishings, and plenty of shared amenities including an outdoor pool and hot tub! Start each dreamy day with a fresh cup of coffee on the furnished balcony and plan out a fun-filled itinerary. After full days at the beach nearby, the culinary-inclined guests can easily hop into the full kitchen and prepare tasty meals to curb appetites. Plus, the breakfast bar seating will make dinner prep a social event. Settle down in the large living room and take advantage of the mounted flatscreen TV above the gas fireplace to host movie nights complete with candy and popcorn. Don't worry about sandy suits either, as a private washer and dryer will do the trick!

A Great Getaway

Our stay at Southern Charm was amazing! Clean, nice and quiet! The pool was a big hit with my family. The distance to the beach, food, stores and restaurants were great as well!

Very dirty

The house and the place is very good, but the house was very dirty and the dish it smelled rotten, I had the clean the whole place before used.

Beautiful Place

Location is good for baseball parks

The location was perfect for us with regards to the baseball parks we played at. For the beach, be prepared to sit in traffic each direction. Take the left at Ft. Morgan to go around through the state park to save a little time. We were there for ball so wasn’t an issue for our purposes. Both bathrooms have stand up showers so no baths if you have little kids. The showers are new and pretty though. The kitchen appliances are new but the layout is off. The stove door can’t be opened if the cabinet knob is on. Take the knob off as soon as you get there to avoid an accident (trust me!). The kitchen table has room for 4 but must be moved in and out for every meal to accommodate. The current table won’t last with its legs long as they are already loose. The master bed headboard is NOT attached to anything. It fell over and just missed hitting my head and it’s HEAVY! Beautiful, but heavy and dangerous. The bedding was new and clean and the mattresses were very comfy. There is a new fold-out couch in the living room that was comfortable as well. Watch for a nail in the doorway floor of master bedroom to bathroom. It kept popping out every time I nailed it back in and it will tear up your foot! The complex is under renovations due to the hurricane which is understandable. Just be prepared that in June 2020 ALL the construction trailers are right outside the balcony and that is where they ALL meet. There are 15-20 men standing outside your balcony looking up all day but especially when they meet there in the mornings and afternoons. It’s very uncomfortable to say the least!! So, to have some privacy you have to shut the blinds on the double doors, then the barn doors that act like blinds on the front windows. It feels like a dark cave and definitely not a vacation. The window in the master is useless because it faces the construction trailers and men as well. The guest bedroom window is useless because it is located facing outside by the front door in the shared entryway of the building floor. So, all week we had to keep all blinds/barn doors closed with little natural light. Again, understandable but NOT a vacation setting. Parking in front of apartment is limited depending on time of day because of construction workers’ parking. $230 a night was about $75-100 a night over priced due to location from beach/attractions as well as the feeling you were in a cave or, on the flip side, with the attentive eyes of men always looking in. The pool area was nice and clean. Yes, I would stay here again once construction was completed (or at the least the construction trailers and men gone) and I felt safer, dangerous issues were addressed and price reflected a reasonable rate for a two bedroom apartment 30+ minutes from the beach.
