The Room is on the 5th Avenue in the center of Playa near the main bars and restaurants of the city at the same time surrounded by a lot of vegetation and large trees. It is 2 blocks from the beach and 5 from the ADO bus station

Really enjoyed our stay. Could not beat the price. Can be loud at night due to the location on 5th. Looking for a cheap clean place next to the beach this is it. Staff was super nice.

Terrible loud uncomfortable experience

I knew that this property was by a lot of bars and clubs but WOW it was loud. Every night music was blasting until 4am. The apartment isn’t sound proof in the slightest. My first night there at 11pm there was suddenly intense loud banging from above me as if someone was doing construction. I asked the vrbo owner and he didn’t believe me and sent someone to my apartment to check but didn’t tell me and so all the sudden a stranger was sent to my door with no warning and I was told I had to let her in. Bc again he didn’t believe me. Finally the sound stopped. My last morning there, the knocking was back at 9am (check out was 11am) and I really needed sleep. I told the vrbo owner and he just left me on read and didn’t respond. The apartment was clean but the shower is in the bedroom it was weird. The apartment is located behind a tequila shop and to come and go you have to walk through a tequila shot which I thought was very strange. The whole area around the apartment entrance seemed very sketchy it just didn’t seem like the safest place to stay as a single woman on vacation. The view of the entrance with a scared and it would be relatively easy for somebody to commit a crime and nobody would know. One thing that was annoying was check in. I had to go into a clothing store to get my check in key. Early check-in was not allowed. This was weird because when I went to go check into my room she told me that nobody was staying in these apartments currently. If you have a bunch of free apartments available why do you need that long to clean one up. When I went to the clothing store to see if I could drop off my bags because that’s what the owner told me I could do The woman who worked at the store was extremely weird and acted like I was strange for asking if I can leave my bag somewhere. Once you finally have access to your apartment you have to walk up winding staircase with your luggage. The woman who helped me check in saw me struggle to bring my suitcases through the clothing shop and struggle to bring them upstairs and didn’t offer to help at all. I don’t necessarily need her to carry all my bags all the way up the stairs but at least hold the door open for me or help me get through the store. I really don’t like having VRBO experiences where I’m paying money but I’m getting treated poor. At the end of the day the apartment was clean so I’ll take it but the bed was super uncomfortable, Check-in was terrible, and it was extremely loud.
