Thank you for your review as we appreciate them and look at it as an opportunity to see what we can approve on. Our approach is to lay everything out for guests to see so that we do not need to encroach on their stay unless our assistance is needed. Sadly, a lot of items are taken from vacation homes, either on accident or purpose. We let the guests know what those items cost to replace, more as a deterrent. As in your case, a bowl was broken and no invoice or bill was ever sent. We understand wear and tear is going to happen and we are prepared for that. As for our $85 cleaning fee, it is what our cleaner charges and that is it. It is actually one of the cheapest cleaning fees amongst Short Term Rentals in North Lake Tahoe. We really do not ask anything different from industry standards of a minor clean up before guests leave and this is widely accepted amongst the short term rental industry.
