Under the Oaks is a two-bedroom, two-bath single story cottage overlooking the tennis courts in the gated golf course community of Wachesaw Plantation. It is within walking distance to club amenities. This property features a fully-equipped kitchen complete with microwave and dishwasher, as well as a washer, dryer, central heat and air conditioning, and ceiling fans. Three TVs (55-inch TV with Roku in living room, 42-inch TVs in bedrooms, one with Roku) and Wi-Fi are also provided. Sleeping accommodations include one king and two twin-sized beds. Outdoor amenities include a screened-in porch, and gas grill. Wachesaw Plantation amenities include the award-winning, Tom Fazio designed golf course, Kimbels Restaurant overlooking the 18th green and majestic Waccamaw River, tennis on the lighted Har - Tru clay courts, pool complex, and Magnolia's Pool Bar. This property is a duplex. Only two parking spaces are allotted per cottage. Additional cars will be removed at the tenant’s expense. Trash pick-up at the cottage is every Thursday. Dog-friendly. Limit one dog - 50-pound maximum weight limit. Please see the office for pet policy details. No smoking. Check-out maid service is included. Linens included. Maximum occupancy: 4

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Although the cottage overall was well maintained the carpet is really disgusting. There are multiple stains everywhere. We attempted to clean the worst one that has been there since our last stay. They carpets really need to be cleaned badly....not sanitary.

Great location, beautiful and quiet

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved the area and the unit except for a few issues. I saw mold around the owners shower which Ipromptly cleaned, couldn't get the TV in owners bedroom to work (they did come out to fix, but went to the wrong bedroom while we were gone-so TV never got fixed). The living room furniture was nice- wish they had spent that money on the owners bed, the mattress was very uncomfortable. We will never rent a unit where all they have is just Roku-no live sports, news and channels. We had several issues which I emailed Garden City twice-no response.

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: When we arrived on 4/3/22, I went to use a pot to cook. I found two pans with baked burnt egg in the cabinet! It was was so disgusting! I proceeded to place all the dishes, pots and pans and silverware in the dishwasher! The rug in kitchen was filthy, rugs by front door and back doors as well. The rug in bedrooms and hall need to be clean. The screen porch had not been cleaned. Cob webs everywhere, pollen covered the fabric on furniture, and porch floor. Outside furniture looked like it had been cleaned in months. The front porch was not swept either. The outdoor garbage was over flowing and garbage outside the can as well. Pest control calendar posted on back of front door was outdated (2021). Pest control had called and said they were coming. I requested they come the day we were checking out 4/18 since we had a dog. Plus, our pet had to stay out of the house for at least an hour. Very inconvenient. At least, pest control cooperated with our request. Also, upon our arrival on the kitchen table was a card that stated “that Stacey” cleaning supervisor had inspected the home before our arrival. Obviously, she needs to be removed from her duties. I took pictures of the pans, porches, cob webs and emailed Garden City Realty. On Tuesday, a woman showed up to clean the outdoor furniture and porch. I cleaned the porch-no need now! The dishes were all cleaned! This home needs a deep cleaning! Porches need power washed. Doors leading out to back porch need to be replaced. Back porch needs painted. Bathrooms were clean, thank goodness. Bedding was clean and beds were comfortable. I would not recommend this unit. The location was great. In fact, we have rented the next door unit in November! Modern ... updated... clean! Owner lives in Wachesaw Plantation as well. Jill Kwiatkowski

We felt very safe, the environment is beautiful, and the inside of the rental was so spacious !!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Pam was very professional, however, here are the problems. Garbage disposal did not work. You could not raise the volume of the main television more than a whisper. Carpeting was soiled in several areas, same as last visit here.Towels and toilet paper terrible quality. Provided our own. Cob webs in screen porch. Master bath electrical would not always operate. Had to use tripper switch. Didn't always solve problem. Hit and miss. Master bedroom bed mattress is in need of replacing. Only one trash bag provided for a 12 night stay. We have rented several Court Street properties as we are purchasing a home in Washesaw Plantation. This property does not compare well with the others that are available. Very disappointing and not priced competitively for the condition and amenities provided.
