Brand new cottage situated fifteen feet away from the shore of beautiful, clean Long Pond. Part of our family's 100 yr old fishing camp, the cottage, built in 2021, has all the modern conveniences with lots of cottage charm. The great room looks out onto a full view of Long Pond through seven tall windows and a massive sliding door. You can be out of the cottage and onto the beach in seconds. The second floor master suite feels like a secluded tree house, with views down to the lake and across to the tree tops. The cottage combines echos of the surrounding 20th century Craftsman cabins with clean, modern lines, lots of light and magnificent views of the lake. Available mostly in the off-season, the woodland cottage is perfect for bird watching, appreciating Fall color and woodland wildlife. The panoramic windows afford a view of the amazing weather patterns coming across the lake at all times of the year. Highly insulated, with a modern, high efficiency wood stove and premium HVAC system, the cottage is a warm and cozy base for outdoor adventures in all seasons.

Our family has been stewarding this property for 100 years. We are a family of five siblings who steward this special compound. Our grandchildren are the fourth generation who will learn to swim on the sandy beach and love the surrounding nature.

In 2020 we took the opportunity to remove an old 1930's fishing cabin and replace it with the compound's only year-round structure.

The location can't be beat. Warm, cozy and weather-tight, the new cottage can be enjoyed year-round. It feels like being in the middle of a nature park even though it's located less than one hour from Boston, Providence and Cape Cod. In the off-season months, the Duck and Drake cottage's closest neighbors are the local wildlife. The cottage is surrounded by an undisturbed wooded wetland and is an amazing spot for viewing all kinds of birds and fall color. Sitting in the great room, you can watch the seasons change as eagles, osprey and otters fish on the lake. There is a canoe that can be used during the warmer seasons and a semi-private beach (shared with the property owners). The property is situated next to Pinewoods Camp which operates from June through Labor Day.
