Overall good place to stay in .Close location to everything. AC in rooms - would be great if there was AC in Living room. Neighbors are nice. Definitely recommend.

I’ve always been skeptical of staying places other than hotels, but from day one Jennifer has made us feel at home and very comfortable! her communication is phenomenal and i will definitely be staying again.

The house itself was quaint and nicely decorated, but my stay in August was extremely uncomfortable due to the heat. Temperatures reached triple digits with high humidity, and while both bedrooms had AC units, the living room, dining room, and kitchen area only had a single ceiling fan. Opening doors and windows provided no relief, as there was no cross breeze. This made it nearly impossible to spend time outside of the bedrooms, essentially confining us there just to stay cool.I reached out to the property owner simply to ask if there was an extra fan available. Instead of being helpful, she overtalked me and dismissed my concern, reminding me that “this isn’t the US” and saying most houses in PR don’t have AC. While I understand island life and was not asking for a refund, I found her response unnecessarily defensive and unprofessional. A simple “no, I don’t have a fan available” would have sufficed.Overall, while the house itself has charm, the lack of proper cooling in the main living areas during extreme heat and the owner’s dismissive attitude left a very negative impression. I would not recommend this property for summer stays.

First Time in Puerto Rico

Check In: Pretty easy. There are two gates to go through before you reach the property so that's reassuring. Keys could be cleaner though. They had a black, greasy film on them.Stay: Its very spacious if you have a large family/group. 1 Queen bed and a bunk bed in the other room with a Full size bed at the bottom. The Queen size bed is pretty firm, so if you're used to a softer mattress like me, you may be a bit uncomfortable. There were several botles of water in the fridge which I really appreciated and got me through most of the stay.Noise ( uncontrollable): The next door neighbor is very sweet and helpful, but she has 3 Chihuahua's who bark a lot and every time you walk by. Also be prepared for the 3AM Rooster alarms that subside around 8:30 AM.Location: I would say that Carolina is in the middle of the major cities. 10 minutes from the airport, 20 minutes from Old San Juan and Condado Beach, 28-35 minutes (depending on traffic) from Luquillo Beach, about 15 minutes from Isla Verde. You will need to Uber everywhere unless you rent a car. Honestly the driving is a bit aggressive and the parking is kind of terrible so if you're cool with that then go for it!Checkout: Someone, not sure who, started coming into the apartment before I left. It was about 10:48 AM. Checkout is at 11. O ce they realized I was still there they stopped immediately and left.

Great Location - Very Comfortable

I came into Puerto Rico for a little R&R (rest and relaxation). It was me and my buddy, so the two bedrooms was enough for privacy for both of us. The master bedroom has its own personal refrigerator, and I believe a full- or queen-sized bed. The other room in which I stayed in, has a bunk bed. Full size at the bottom and twin at the top. There is also another rolling mattress underneath the bed to accommodate one more person. The air conditioners in both rooms were amazing and kept us nice and cool. The living room and kitchen is exactly as described. It does get really warm there as there is no air conditioning in these rooms besides a ceiling fan. The air conditioning units are only located in the bedrooms. The kitchen has everything you need for your stay. You may have to buy additional napkins for your stay as the owner provides one roll. The bathroom also comes with one roll of tissue so you may need to purchase more. The owner does provide body wash and shampoo that hangs in the shower for your convenience. There is a balcony that wraps around the apartment that has some good morning and night views. There are two chairs located on the balcony to provide seating to take in the morning sun and nightly ambiance. The owner provides 3 keys in a padlock outside the residence. 1 is for the front gate lock. 1 is for the 2nd flr gate lock. One is for the front door to enter the apartment.The owner was extremely nice and responsive. Would stay here again 100%.

This home was in a perfect location, close to the airport, great restaurants, shopping, and entertainment. The host responded quickly whenever we needed assistance, and the housekeeper was incredibly attentive and helpful. Overall, a very comfortable and enjoyable stay!

Great location near SJU AIRPORT

The Hidalgo rental was great! I stayed 7 nights not 8. I checked in at 5am. It was nice and clean and communication with Jennifer was on point. Jennifer even suggested an affordable car rental company, an excursion contact for Culebra, etc... The beds in the pictures are different. Jennifer actually upgraded the bedrooms. The smaller bedroom has twin beds with the bottom being a full size in addition to a pull out bed. It was very accommodating. The master bedroom was very spacious and it had a personal refrigerator that came in handy. Both bedrooms have brand new AC consoles that work very well and fast. There is Netflix and Disney Channel which was a Plus ➕️ for my 3year old grandson. Jennifer has a cooler that was great for daily use. My favorite part of her lovely home was the patio. It is so relaxing. I would have my morning coffee out there and enjoy the sounds of mother nature. However, it rains almost every night/early morning. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR WET CLOTHES TO DRY OUTSIDE. I can go on and on... I do have to say it's extremely hot in the living room/kitchen area. Jennifer has no AC there. Even with all windows open it is just HOT HUMID air blowing in. Groceries that are not supposed to go in the refrigerator got stale within a day or two. We bought alot of groceries and sadly it went to waste. The electrical outlets needs some fixing. I found them to be old, worn out and dangerous. The kitchen fridge went out on us and our groceries were quickly melting (thank god for the fridge in the master bedroom), come to find out it was the electrical outlet. The outlet in bedroom #2 blew my charger out. The toilet needs a quick tightening. The shower pressure at times is very low but, the hot water was good. There's a sign that says to keep the "kitchen clean" which is almost impossible when there's no "cleaning supplies" to use. We had to buy some, which I didn't mind as well as the garbage bags. I had a family of 5 plus a toddler in diapers for 8 full days. I think for longer stays the cleaner should be sent every 2 days to take out the trash. My biggest problem was No washer/dryer. I understand the reason why Jennifer doesn't provide them but, 8 days was too long with dirty, wet towels. Maybe she can charge an additional fee if the guests would like to use them. We found a laundromat about 3mins away. All in all I would definitely recommend The Hidalgo rental! Thanks for sharing your lovely home with us. Good luck with your future endeavors.

The house was remodeled in 2021 and is very spacious to pass a good time. It is 6 minutes to the exit of the principal highway of Puerto Rico which is very good if you rent a car and want to go around the island and explore the most tourist places, like el YUNQUE which from the house it is 34 mins! Also, 22 mins from the Old San Juan!
