Enjoy cabin life in this newly built lake front cabin in a quiet bay of North Star Lake in Marcell, MN. Beautifully decorated with all the conveniences. Cabin sits on 4 acres of property bordering 70,000 acres of public land ensuring privacy.

Cabin Includes:
‱ 2 Bedrooms with California king beds
‱ Sleeper sofa
‱ Murphy Hutch bed in a very private area of the rec room
‱ 2 beautiful bathrooms with tiled showers
‱ Kitchen with granite counters, new appliances including dishwasher, coffee pot, microware

‱ Open floor plan with large spacious dining and living areas
‱ In-floor heating as well as two half split units for heating and cooling
‱ Sit on the patio and enjoy the beautiful view of the lake or have a campfire while enjoying the spectacular view of the stars.
‱ Complete with dock to make your boating or fishing convenient. The bench on the dock is a nice way to enjoy your morning coffee while watching a variety of animals including beavers, swans and an occasional otter sighting.


North Star Lake is known for it's spectacular views and great fishing. Close to many other lakes holding numerous species of fish including walleyes, bass, musky, northern, lake trout, crappies and panfish.

This is great base in the winter as you explore the hundreds of miles of snowmobile trails or in the summer to hike and explore the thousands of acres of public land.

Most amazing vacation ever. This cabin did not disappoint. Beautiful, clean, great location. The hosts made sure we had everything we needed and then some. I cannot recommend this place enough!!!

We had a wonderful almost full week here. Joe was so helpful and kind. The cabin is stunning, very clean, and fully stocked with anything you could think you would need. We clearly over packed. It’s open & pet friendly. There were a lot of stairs to the dock, but good exercise and the cabin and yard (patio/grill/sitting area with large umbrella/fire pit) and all the amenities more than make up for it. We can’t wait to go back.

My family would definitely rent this cabin again. There are lots of extras for guests to use, and everything feels high-quality. The cabin is secluded....being a beautiful 25 minutes drive to from most stores/restaurants in Grand Rapids and Deer River. We actually got locked out for a short time, but the owner responded and fixed the issue in 10 minutes. A utility company started doing work on the cabin without warning during our stay, and the owner issued a partial refund (even though this was out of his control). This shows his commitment to being an excellent host. Thanks for everything!

Amazing cabin & property!! The pictures do not do it justice. This cabin had everything you could possibly need - from cookware to utensils, cozy blankets and games, puzzles, books and all the space inside and out to enjoy it!!The trek up and down to the lake/dock is well worth the view, serenity, and recreation opportunities. If you’re looking for the perfect ‘up north’ get away— this is the spot!

Amazing!!

The cabin was amazing! Everything is very modern in the cabin, all the appliances made our stay very convient and comfortable! The cabin is nicely secluded with woods all around and access to the lake. Fishing was pretty fun!

Incredible cabin

Not only is this cabin beautifully decorated, it is perfectly cleaned. Spotless, really. And entirely dog friend, with an open floor plan and nothing extra laying around for a dog to get into. The view is lovely, too!

Family Getaway

We had a fantastic long weekend at the cabin! Joe was a responsive and helpful host—communication was smooth from start to finish. The cabin itself was exceptionally clean, spacious, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed (and more).We brought our boat along and had no trouble launching it, thanks to the nearby public access. The lake was perfect for fishing, and on the hotter days, we really enjoyed swimming and floating right off the dock. The kids especially loved using the kayaks provided.While the stairs and path down to the water are a bit steep, it was manageable for our group and definitely worth it for the lake access.Overall, a wonderful stay—thank you, Joe and Patty!

Marcell Stay

From our initial booking I had a good feeling. John communicated and answered all of our questions. Simple and easy. The cabin exceeded our expectations and upon arrival we felt like it was “our home” for the week. From the well stocked kitchen, to the comfy beds, pool table and outdoor patio table with a huge umbrella
all the things we wanted to enjoy family time. Our 3 sons in their 20’s wanted to fish musky and the lake did not disappoint!! We floated in tubes , played cards and grilled! Highly recommend!!

Great property on a quiet part of the lake.

Fabulous! Beds were comfy, property super spacious. Very quiet part of the lake and you get your workout in on the steps :). Kitchen was very well equipped; it had everything we needed. Very easy access to property off 38. We would rent this again. That's always my gold star rating.

Weekend getaway for wedding in Big Fork

Amazing cabin and property for our weekend up North. The cabin had everything you could imagine! One of the best stocked VRBO’s we have ever stayed in. Communication with the manager was amazing. The beds were very comfortable. The reason for the 4 star rating on cleanliness was because the second and third beds had dog fur on them. We were able to change the sheets as plenty were provided. Easy fix!

Fantastic week!

Our son was getting married in Big Fork so we decided to make a vacation out of it. This VRBO appears to be a newer build. Huge kitchen, nice patio, washer/dryer. It had all the amenities you could want. The views of the lake are beautiful and a couple people in our group caught some nice sized fish. Owners were good to work with. Highly recommend!

Beautiful week in the North

The cabin is beautiful with all needed amenities plus more. We enjoyed our nightly pool tournament and daily relaxing. The view of the lake from the cabin is breathtaking. The walk to the lake could be challenging for some, was safe but many steps and incline on the way up from the lake will get your heart pumping. The lake itself is gorgeous with many loons calling and nature everywhere. This cabin is on a back cove of Northstar Lake but even with my large boat was fully accessible to the entire lake and made a great trip with morning coffee or each evening enjoying the sunset. Thank you for the opportunity to enjoy this gem in the North!

Our little escape to paradise

This place is a true gem if you are looking to get away from it all!! The cabin was more than what we expected. So clean, comfortable and has everything if you forgot something. Lake is peaceful. We brought our boat up to fish a little. 1st cast was a 42" muskie! We were hooked! The pool table was an added bonus also as we are avid pool players. What a great table to play on! We will definitely be back!! 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Wonderful relaxing vacation!

This was such a wonderful cabin to stay in! Relaxing and serene! Our kids loved beating us in a game of pool! We brought two kayaks and a boat with. They have a canoe and two kayaks as well. We did a lot of fishing and made our catch the last night. We highly recommend staying here! Everything is stocked so well and nice and clean! Thank you again for opening your cabin up to us for some much needed R & R!

Wonderful Cabin

Wonderful stay, my parents, kids, husband and I all had a wonderful stay. The view was beautiful. There was plenty of room for all of us. There was a lot of towels and amenities. It was great. Thank you for opening this home it was perfect and we will be booking this location for future events

Amazing view!

Very nice cabin overlooking the lake. Having a dock was great and Joe was able to direct me somewhere that I could rent a boat for our stay. Nice, secluded area with a small town not too far away and a larger town about a half hour away to get anything we needed. Would definitely stay here again!
