Great Getaway

Amazing Lake Home

We enjoyed a fantastic week at this beautiful lake home. The photos are a great representation of what you can expect. Kitchen is well stocked and the outdoor fire pit was perfect for relaxing outdoors. The owner provided great recommendations for local restaurants and attractions. We highly recommend this property!

Beautiful home and location!

Beautiful home, gorgeous views, and immaculately kept. Communication with the host was easy and they were very responsive to questions. Host offered suggestions on local places to visit and eat as well. Looking forward to coming back again for a visit next summer!

Julie is being too nice! She showed up to a burst pipe in the basement. Not the way her relaxing weekend was supposed to go! But she was absolutely awesome to work with on the issue. Family getaway

My family and I were delighted by this property. The cabin was very clean, and more than soacious for 5 adults and two kiddos. We were surrounded by beautiful landscapes, and only a quick drive from town if needed. Chuck was so great to work with. Thanks for everything!

This property offers the classic Tomahawk cabin experience. Unlike many other rentals, its equipped with quality furnishings and interesting antiques. Its setting on a point provides Northwoods privacy. Good experience!

Serenity Now

Wonderfully peaceful location to be shared with family and/or friends. Cabin is fantastically decorated and very spacious for lounging and relaxation...both inside & out. Lake is perfect for fishing and kayaking. Owner was very responsive and a pleasure to work with. Would recommend and stay again! Congrats Chuck & Jen on your wedding next week!

Incredible property, so much I even wanted to make an offer ;) Amazing location, spacious & clean home, beautiful decor, and most of all the hosts think of everything (including pre-stacked firewood for our first outdoor fire!). Beautiful home with beautiful views

We are seasoned VRBO renters and this one is top of the list for accommodations, communication and the views! This home offers a well-curated and comfortable vibe that includes Wifi and satellite. Our stay included 2 couples but would be great for families as well. Appreciated they include wood for an indoor/outdoor fire and is pet friendly. Mohawskin is great for boating and fishing once you get to the main body of water. Thanks for sharing your home!

Tomahawk Getaway

Had a perfect winter getaway in this cabin to explore the winter activities around Tomahawk, Minocqua, and Wausau. Location is very convenient to explore Wisconsin’s north woods. Cabin was very nicely equipped, drive and parking areas cleared of snow prior to our arrival, kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, and the real wood burning fireplace was fantastic to sit around and gather with your friends and family. Cabin was very well maintained, decorated, and clean for our stay. Would definitely stay again if I was in need of a place to stay in the same area again! Book it, you won’t be disappointed!

Time in Tomahawk WI

Amazing house on a peninsula on Lake Mohawksin in Tomahawk WI. Family had a great time fishing from the two docks, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, jet skiing, and riding a pontoon around the large lake. Great place to play cards on the large island in the kitchen, drink coffee on the porch in the morning, make s’mores in the fire pit at night, all while enjoying views of the lake. Thanks to Chuck for being a wonderful host and always willing to answer any questions. Great place to come back to again!

Fantastic family retreat

Everything about this property exceeded our expectations as we gathered multiple generations of family to celebrate milestone birthdays Chuck, the host, was responsive to our questions and made sure we were set for a relaxing weekend The home is uniquely situated on a quiet peninsula with peaceful grounds set for enjoying the great outdoors with a fishing dock, multiple seating areas and some sturdy kayaks to check our the lake. The interior was immaculate and thoughtfully designed. We were also able to check out some nearby restaurants and were pleasantly surprised at how close to town we were when a last minute grocery run was required. It was hard to depart on our last day.

Lake views from every window!

We rented this cabin in March for a family getaway with adult children and their significant others. The three bedrooms and three bathrooms served us well. The beds were comfortable, plenty of hot water for showers, the kitchen was well equipped and the open concept great room was perfect for gathering. We played some epic games of monopoly at the huge kitchen island and did a puzzle on the large table by the fire. Overall beautiful house and properly. No complaints. Communication with Chuck and Jen was perfect and I would absolutely recommend this property.

Wonderful vacation!

Thanks so much for an amazing week! We look forward to our yearly “up north” trip so much - as we get to spend uninterrupted time with our teenage daughters! Screen time was dramatically reduced for the week - so that was a huge win! The house was amazing - even better than the photos! So much room, well equipped (including a large ice maker!!!) and very comfortable. The grounds were spectacular and fun to explore. We loved that the north dock was deep and great for swimming. The lake was fun to explore and we found many great restaurants as well. Chuck was easy to reach and responsive - even while he was one his honeymoon!

Beautiful Fall Getaway

This was the perfect cabin for a long fall weekend. The cabin was clean, well cared for, amply supplied with basic amenities (towels, kitchen utensils, etc.) and just as described in the listing. The bedrooms are large and the beds comfy. There is an upstairs living room where our group spent most of our time, but there is an entire second living room in the basement. The attention to detail is very impressive, as all of the decor, fixtures and even blankets are top quality while also adding to the north woods feel of the cabin. While we didn't get out much because it rained a lot, there is a canoe and kayaks available for use as well. All in all we had a great stay!

Amazing Lake Cabin among the Pines

My group could not be more impressed... the cabin is beautiful. Well built, wonderfully decorated and quietly situated among the pine trees on Lake Mohawksin, we had the perfect set-up for a relaxing few days in North Central Wisconsin. This gem included all the amenities needed, was clean and equipped with everything we needed. We slept well on comfortable beds... each couple enjoyed their own bathroom... plenty of space... all good. Our time was spent boating (pontoon rental in town), kayaking and hiking with worthy dining experiences afterwards (Besse's, Bootleggers). Our host, Chuck, could not be more accommodating. Easy to contact, always helpful... he was the perfect host. I would highly recommend this stay...

Almost Perfect

This property is the epitome of casual luxury in WI lake country. The house is situated on its own wooded private lake point and decorated throughout with fascinating Native American artifacts. Super comfy and welcoming. Why not five stars? Series of little things. Canoes with paddles but no life jackets. Oven failed. Direct TV didn't work. Upstairs Sonos didn't work. Owner was apologetic and I'm confident he'll get that stuff fixed, but for us it was the difference between excellent and good. I would still recommend.

Mark we're sorry to hear things didn't meet your expectations. It's difficult to resolve these issues when they arise unexpectedly during a stay, so we apologize!. I can certainly leave a few life jackets out in various sizes so appreciate the feedback. Sonos is dependent on wifi which is an intermittent issue. The oven is back to working (for unknown reasons) and the DirecTV technicians weren't available for a week. Thanks again for the feedback

Private Cabin Oasis

Thank you Chuck for a fun and relaxing long weekend for our family's annual cabin retreat! The cabin was plenty of space for 6 adults and a 1 year old. The lake is beautiful and easy to explore by kayak/canoe, but if boating be careful for stumps! The cabin is conveniently close to town yet secluded and private.

Both bedrooms upstairs offer outstanding views of the surrounding lake and towering pine trees, many over 100' tall. There are several gathering areas in the home for guests to congregate.
