Seward Scenic Alaska River Cottage

Ma femme Jennifer et moi avons choisi cet endroit sur la riviĂšre Trail pour Ă©lever nos enfants en raison de sa beautĂ© incroyable. Trail River Gardens est situĂ© Ă  seulement 20 min de Seward au cƓur des montagnes Chugach sur la magnifique riviĂšre Trail. De notre terrasse, la riviĂšre est Ă  seulement 50 pieds avec le majestueux mont Madison comme toile de fond. Il y a des lacs au-dessus et en dessous de nous avec des montagnes de tous cĂŽtĂ©s. Vous pouvez marcher vers des sentiers de randonnĂ©e vers encore plus de lacs de montagne. Si vous aimez faire de la randonnĂ©e et observer les oiseaux et autres animaux sauvages, alors vous allez l'adorer ici dans les jardins de la riviĂšre Trail.

Loved staying here!!! Beautiful area and yard, love being right by the river. Close to several tourist type activities, hiking, fishing, etc. Had everything we needed and then some.

This place was comfortable. It has three bedrooms with their own bathrooms. No living room area so we had to sit around at the kitchen table after our day out. Also there really was no access to the water for fishing which is the only reason I rented this place. Even though they couldn't fish my husband said this was his favorite place. We did enjoy a fire at the fire pit.

Great view

We stayed here in July. We had a family of six and it was ample room for everybody. The view is amazing. Our kids enjoyed the setting immensely and couldn’t stop talking about it. Everyone enjoyed the setting, and visit.

Cozy cabin

Our family enjoyed the rural setting, three rooms with individual bathrooms and grilling out on the deck. We even saw moose cross the river!

Fabulous location and charming host!

The photos don’t do this justice. It’s beautifully located on the river bank. Very peaceful with a short drive to Seward town.The property was really clean and comfortable.It was lovely to light the fire pit in the evening and cook jacket potatoes and steaks

Scenic cabin amongst the moose

Clean cabin with plenty of beds and bathrooms with great outdoor space along the river. The only down side was a lack of indoor living area, as the eat-in kitchen was the only indoor common space. Hosts were friendly and generous, sharing staples, offering bear spray and lots of board games & books. Location is convenient to Seward and local attractions.

We had a great stay at Russ's place located on a beautiful river about a half hour outside Seward. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms were clean. Although there is no stove (we knew that from the listing), we figured out the hot plate and it was fine for our purposes of cooking breakfast. The rest of the kitchen was well equipped. Russ was very communicative and very nicely agreed to send an item that we accidentally left in one of the rooms. We loved our time there!

Great place on the river

We stayed two nights at the property and enjoyed it very much. The three bedrooms worked perfectly for us and our two adult children. The location was amazing - right on the Trail River. We enjoyed waking up on the river, and on the second morning, saw a bald eagle flying over the river.

Beautiful spot by the river

We felt so comfortable and at home here, and it was perfect for our stay. The location is so beautiful, and we didn’t even have clear weather! It is cozy, charming, and comfortable, ands our entire family enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful riverside property

This home is located with a nice view of the river about 75yds away. We had campfires near the river with suppled wood. Cooked on the grill and hot plate (note there is no stove). The manager lives next door and checked on us to make sure all was ok. Wish our stay was longer!

**Peaceful River Retreat – Perfect Getaway!**We had a wonderful stay at this VRBO! The home is nestled right along the river, offering beautiful views and a peaceful, quiet atmosphere. It was exactly the relaxing escape we were looking for. There was plenty of space for everyone to spread out and feel comfortable, both indoors and out. The house was clean, well-equipped, and felt very welcoming. We especially loved sitting outside in the mornings and evenings, listening to the water and enjoying the natural surroundings. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a calm, scenic place to unwind!

Rustic cabin with great Alaska experience

The quiet location with windows and a deck overlooking the river offered great views and wildlife viewing. The owner, Russ, was very hospitable and provided helpful information about the area. Definitely would stay here again.A great beginning to our Alaska experience!

Fabulous home by the river - so comfortable

We so enjoyed staying in this lovely home by the river. It has a great view of the river from the picture window and glass sliding doors. Also a wonderful patio overlooking the river. We would loved to have stayed longer. We were so grateful for the laundry room as we were mid way through our Alaska trip and in need of fresh clothes. The beds were very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

Gorgeous View and Cozy Home

Cozy home with beautiful view of the light teal blue colored river. We had everything that we needed for a two night stay. Russ is very attentive and answered any general questions that we had about Alaska. Wonderful location for us!

We have lived in Alaska for 30 yrs here on beautiful Trail River. We also have a gift store, coffee shop and bakery in Seward.

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

I built the vacation rental because of the beautiful location. The cottage was originally built in the 1940's and I completely rebuilt it in 1997.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

The cottage is located just 50 feet from the river. the view from the deck is no less than spectacular. There are lakes above and below us with mountains on all sides. There are lots of birds and other wildlife around us and many hiking trails.
