We’d like to clarify a few points for future guests: • Mattress & Furniture: specifically for this guest’s request we purchased and installed a brand-new firm queen mattress. New beach chairs are purchased each season. • Kitchen & Cooking: Fully stocked with new pots, pans, utensils, and both glassware and beach-friendly cups. We provide a request to renters to be careful with the lovely brand-new butcher block counters. The kitchen also has a modern gas stove, a doubly size sink, dishwasher, and full-size refrigerator. • Linens & Towels: The house is supplied with 20 standard bath towels, along with 8 large beach towels. A housekeeper is available and was provided for you to reach out during your stay who would gladly have provided more towels for your party of two. • Air & Windows: Each room has multiple windows allowing for fresh air, and AC units are provided in each room for comfort. • Steps: The home is built to code and has a few single-step transitions (to patio, family room, grassy area). • Entertainment: A 50-inch smart TV with an MP3 soundbar delivers excellent sound when paired with any smartphone. The vintage cassette stereo is there for fun nostalgia. • The Beach: Seagull Beach is one of the largest and most popular on the Cape, with lifeguards, bathrooms, and a snack stand. It’s wonderful to know that you made good use of the beach chairs and outdoor games as well! We appreciate your feedback regarding the cooling situation. Unfortunately, the heatwave during your stay was particularly intense and not at all typical. While we do have AC units in every room, we understand that it took some time for the house to reach a comfortable temperature. Regarding the time to cool the house, we wish you’d reached out to us as that has never been the case and we would gladly have replaced the ac unit, which we have done since your stay. We strive to ensure that every guest arrives to a perfectly clean and comfortable home. We're sorry that the level of cleanliness did not meet your expectations. Had we been made aware of these issues, we would have sent our cleaning team back immediately to address them, as we did with our handyman who came immediately after you had called about the outdoor shower. We always aim to respond quickly to any concerns our guests have, and we're glad we could assist you promptly in that instance. Similarly, we apologize for any confusion about the linens and towels. Our standard practice is to provide clean linens, freshly made beds, and towels. We understand that the listing could have been clearer, and we will make sure to update it to avoid any future misunderstandings.
