This cozy unit is the downtown residential neighborhood, itâs on the second floor, single private unit with separate entrance, dedicated parking spaces, and a small private yard. This place is near SFO, a block away from downtown Burlingame (Burlingame Ave), a block away from the caltrain station, city Hall and the libraryâŠ..
Clean one bedroom walk up with steep steps, convenient to downtown Burlingame and Caltrain station. You will hear the trains, but itâs not too loud. The kitchen is small and modestly equipped.
Check in was fine. When we returned our punch in lock did not work . Because it was after 9:00 pm it was difficult get a hold of the host. Called VRBO and they also couldnât hold of host. we were outside waiting for help for one hour. Finally we got a hold of the host and they told us how to override the override the lock. to make matters worse the heat wasnât working in the apartments. Next morning, the host was able to give us a key and fix our heat. After that all was fine. One other thing is if an older person is staying in this unit the stairs are very steep. also, directions for the unit would have been helpful example how to operate the TV. And extra batteries as we had to replace the batteries for the remote which was hidden away in the bedroom drawer, where there was no where there was no TV.
The location of this property is great for shopping and morning walks to get coffee. We spent most of our days visiting relatives, but the VRBO had everything we needed for comfortable nights (including remote ceiling fans which came in very handy!)
Very Clean property- wonderful location - just several things to consider which may or may not matter to people. There is reallly only 1 Bed (plus a crib). The couch/ futon in the living room is not comfortable or well balanced and tips over when extended. There is a very steep staircase right inside the door which can be challenging for anyone with knee problems. Also kitchen has minimal plates/ cups no sharp knives and limited cooking pots and pans.
Great place to relax between sight seeing & adventures
This was a great place to land at the end of each day - we had a kitchen, living room & outdoor area to help make us feel very much at home while we enjoyed our time in the Bay area!
I like it here. Itâs my 3rd time. The area is great: downtown Burlingame is a short walk. The neighborhood is pretty, with big trees and pleasant homes. The apartment is always clean and cozy.
This 1BR 1BA is clean cozy and ideally located a short walk from downtown Burlingame and the Caltrain station. Itâs near the tracks but I wasnât bothered by the train noise by using a fan as white noise. The kitchen is quite small and didnât have many utensils. And the living area desperately needs a floor lamp. Overall I loved it and would stay there again utensils (no measuring cups, colander,
Spent a week here and enjoyed myself. The apartment is cozy, and has a kitchen and laundry facilities. Burlingame and its restaurants are a short walk nearby. The owner was very responsive and helpful. I hope to come again.
Dedicated parking directly in front of the entrance to a tidy second floor BNB. While the street is busy during the day, the area becomes silent at night. Very comfortable firm bed (Simmons Beautyrest World Class). Excellent communication with the host. Recommend stay.
Great location for exploring San Francisco if you have a car
It's a very good environment except for a little noisy train noise. There are many restaurants, coffee shops and supermarkets nearby. If there is any problem, the owner will take care of it immediatelyïŒ
We stayed in Burlingame due to access and proximity to the San Francisco Bay area. The space was very accommodating. The kitchen and laundry were as advertised.
Easy walking distance to restaurants and other entertainment options in Burlingame. Very pedestrian/bicycling friendly community as well.
The only real drawback was the proximity to the commuter rail lines. Trains run about every 15 minutes from 5am-9pm.
Kate was a very responsive host. Overall, we would stay here again.
A cute little apartment in a classic old arts and crafts bldg. Super clean, well equipped for light cooking, ample toiletries (nice shampoo!) and towels. The most comfortable bed we've slept on in many trips (better than the bed in the Hyatt Regency we just stayed in!). Easy (< 5 min) walk to cafes, restaurants and groceries of debt Burlingame. Close to train station for public trans to SF. Train is noisy, but mostly on weekday mornings. Owner is wonderful to deal with. Would stay there again.
This was everything we hoped for - location, simplicity, cleanliness and excellent communications and check-in with the owner.
When arriving there is a request not to wear shoes in the home and complimentary flip flops. This should be part of the information, as we seniors, can be wary of going up and down stairs without solid shoes to support us. Also in the house, we often need the support that shoes provide. Other than that give this your best consideration.
