Two Bedroom secluded "Barndominium" just outside of Wichita Falls, TEXAS

What was once a primary residence, can now be your Texas country oasis. Our place is quirky and comfortable for your travels or extended stay. The "Shop Shack" as we refer to it, is a two bed room 1200 square foot fully furnished guest house located in Dean, TX (just outside of Wichita Falls, TEXAS).

The great room has a variety of trophy game animals and Texas related items. (Guess that would make it not Vegan friendly) Two good sized bedrooms and one bathroom. Washer and dryer onsite. We have hosted many families over the years by word of mouth and have decided to make the leap to VRBO listing to make our place easier to find for those looking for a temporary living arrangement in the Wichita Falls, TX area. We offer weekly and a deep monthly discount rate for extended stay.

Previous guests have enjoyed the secluded aspect of our place but it is a matter of minutes to any part of Wichita Falls, TX. A few have even extended for months and have had to take the place off the VRBO market.

The Master bedroom features a Queen Sized bed. The second bedroom has a full (double) bed. Couch in living room is a sleeper sofa, and we do have a queen size elevated air mattress that can be set up in living area if additional sleeping requirements are necessary.

We can accommodate indoor storage for bicycles and motorcycles.

Hotter'n Hell Hundred Riders. Our place is located just off of HWY 79 near last rest area. We are directly on the gravel night race route. (Our road is a County Maintained Gravel road...I drive a 392 Scat Pack and only issue is a daily dusty car)

We are NOT pet friendly. Renters who check in with animals will be charged a pet fee of 500.00 and rental agreement will be terminated without refund.

We request that you leave our place the way that you found it. Unfortunately, due to previous guests who left our place a wreck and did not follow house rules, we are now requiring a 250.00 refundable damage/additional cleaning deposit. We will waive this fee for approved previous renters.

Excellent place to stay for a long weekend

We could not have chosen a better place to have a long weekend. Close to winery, distillery, dancing and great food. We will definitely be coming back to stay again. Loved the barndo and the decorations were great.

We had a great stay. The property was just like it was listed the owner even left fresh eggs in the fridge. we enjoyed making homemade omelettes with them. This was a great VRBO. I highly recommend them.

I do not have enough nice adjectives to describe the place and the owners, Melissa and Will. The place was better than my expectations, very clean and comfortable plus quite. It is out of the city limits but not far, so still close to everything. The owners have plenty of amenities and are very gracious host.

Amazing

This place was absolutely awesome!!!! We traveled around exploring a lot throughout the day but it felt good to come in after a long day and feel like we were at our home away from home. The decor was so cool and the sunrises and sunsets from here were breathtaking. Absolutely a 5 star!! I would recommend this place for anyone who just wants to feel like they never left home while on vacation.

Close enough to town but away from all that was going on for HHH. Very kind hosts and comfortable space. A few more details on the location of the entrance would have been helpful as the door is on the backside of the shop and key box inside the screen door. Overall loved it and would book again. Amy

Perfect place to stay to rest

My absolute favorite thing was seeing the chickens roaming the yard; brought back childhood memories! As well as the fresh eggs yummmmm ! The Shop Shack is a quite place to rest I had a weird night shift schedule for 6 days straight and I was able to comfortably rest and recharge in between shifts. I work people every day, and experience all walks of life, and I can say without a doubt that the owners are GOOD People!!!

Quaint and cozy with a rustic flair

This property has been one of my favorite places to stay while traveling. Fully functional kitchen with modern appliances and plenty of kitchenwate to ensure any type of cuisine can be created. Spices and extras onsight to add to the enjoyment of cooking. Spacious and appropriately furnished, the living area and each space throughout is carefully furnished and decorated / designed to facilitate maximum comfort. The shower and washer/dryer is well maintained and clean and the bedding was super comfortable including the pillows. The only thing I would wish for is to have a King sizes bed in the master as my significant other is over 6foot and he felt his feet were hanging off. LoL We love this place

Will and Melissa could not have been better hosts. The battery on my truck died, and Will jumped the battery and let me borrow his cables. They were both very nice and welcoming. The house was very comfortable and roomy. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you.

The barndominium had everything we needed for a quick weekend in town. Thank you for the snacks and oatmeal readily available. We arrived after dark and were too tired to drive out for food, so they came in handy. I would suggest arriving while there is daylight because it is a little tricky finding the barndominium at night once you've turned off the main road. The owner was quick to respond and the check out process was simple. Thank you for a great stay!

We will work on putting lights on the North side of the shop to help with late night arrivals. Loved this place! Exceeded our expectations. It is quaint with lots of charm and personality. It's comfortable, well decorated, and outfitted with fun furnishings. Beds were super comfortable, great air conditioning, and plenty of space to spread out. Much better than a hotel! And, the owners were very friendly and easy to work with. My experience with Will and Melissa's guest house was pleasant. It was hassle free and very accommodating for my wife and I. I was able to focus on my plans with her rather than worrying about the little things that normally come up with hotels and other overnight places. The beds were really comfy too!
